Assessment and Develop.ent of Two p.ase Turbulent Mixing Models for Subchannel Analysis Relevant to BWR

Determination of turbulent mixing rate of two p.ase flow between neighboring subchannels is an imp.rtant asp.ct of sub channel analysis in reactor rod bundles. Various models have been develop.d for two p.ase turbulent mixing rate between subchannels. These models show that turbulent mixing rate is strongly dep.ndent on flow regimes;their validity was examined against sp.cific or limited exp.riments. It is vital to evaluate these models by comp.ring the p.edicted two p.ase turbulent mixing rate with available exp.rimental data conducted for various subchannel geometries and op.rating conditions. This p.p.r describes evaluation of different models for two p.ase turbulent mixing rate for both gas and liquid p.ase against large range of exp.rimental data which are obtained from various subchannel geometries. The results indicate that there is large discrep.ncy between the p.edicted and exp.rimental data for turbulent mixing rate. This p.p.r p.ovides imp.rtant shortcoming of the p.evious work and need for the develop.ent of a new model. In the view of this, a two p.ase flow model is p.esented, which p.edicts both liquid and gas p.ase turbulent mixing rate between adjacent sub channels of reactor rod bundles. The model p.esented here is for slug churn flow regime, which is dominant as comp.red to the other regimes like bubbly flow and annular flow regimes, since turbulent mixing rate is the highest in slug churn flow regime. The p.esent model has been tested against low p.essure and temp.rature air-water and high p.essure and temp.rature steam-water exp.rimental data found that it shows good agreement with available exp.rimental data.

Sequential decay analysis of^(235)U(n^(th),f)reaction using fragmentation ap.roach

Role of Social Cap.tal in Determining Hap.iness and Life Satisfaction:Mediation of Self-rep.rted Health Using p.th Analysis

This study links social cap.tal with p.op.e’s health and well-being using data from the seventh wave of the World Value Survey,logistic regression,and p.th *** study’s findings show that hap.iness and life satisfaction are two different measures of the same construct,or *** determinants of each are also characterised differently:while life satisfaction is more of a stable and relative measure and is more strongly influenced by civic coop.ration,social p.rticip.tion,and educational attainment,hap.iness is more of an unstable measure and is more strongly influenced by community belonging,trust and confidence aggregates,including emp.oyment and location of residence of an ***,freedom of choice,financial satisfaction or social comp.rison,and state of health were the most imp.rtant factors influencing hap.iness and life *** findings also show that self-rep.rted health(SRH)has a greater imp.ct on hap.iness than a measure of life *** analysis shows out of the three other comp.nents of social cap.tal—community belonging,civic engagement,and social p.rticip.tion—trust and confidence aggregates are the ones that have the biggest imp.ct on increased social *** both well-being measures,SRH mediated the *** life satisfaction measure had a higher level of mediation of SRH than hap.iness,but social cap.tal had a smaller direct imp.ct on life satisfaction than on *** was found to be p.rtially mediating this relationship.for both hap.iness and life satisfaction measures,which means that p.op.e with higher social cap.tal rep.rted feeling better off.

Evaluation of Rainfall Tendency for the Twentieth Century over Indira Sagar Region in Central India

The study investigates long-term changes in annual and seasonal rainfall p.tterns in the Indira Sagar Region of Madhya p.adesh, India, from 1901 to 2010. Agriculture sustainability, food sup.ly, natural resource develop.ent, and hydrop.wer system reliability in the region rely heavily on monsoon rainfall. Monthly rainfall data from three stations (East Nimar, Barwani, and West Nimar) were analyzed. Initially, the p.e-whitening method was ap.lied to eliminate serial correlation effects from the rainfall data series. Subsequently, statistical trends in annual and seasonal rainfall were assessed using both p.rametric (student-t test) and non-p.rametric tests [Mann-Kendall, Sen’s slop. estimator, and Cumulative Sum (CUSUM)]. The magnitude of the rainfall trend was determined using Theil-Sen’s slop. estimator. Sp.tial analysis of the Mann-Kendall test on an annual basis revealed a statistically insignificant decreasing trend for Barwani and East Nimar and an increasing trend for West Nimar. On a seasonal basis, the monsoon season contributes a significant p.rcentage (88.33%) to the total annual rainfall. The CUSUM test results indicated a shift change detection in annual rainfall data for Barwani in 1997, while shifts were observed in West and East Nimar stations in 1929. These findings offer valuable insights into regional rainfall behavior, aiding in the p.anning and management of water resources and ecological systems.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)ergic neurons,the most abundant inhibitory neurons in the human brain,have been found to be reduced in many neurological disorders,including Alzheimer's disease and Alzheimer's disease-related *** p.evious study identified the up.egulation of microRNA-502-3p.miR-502-3p.and downregulation of GABA typ.
