Algorithms for steganography are methods of hiding data transfers in media *** machine learning architectures have been presented recently to improve stego image identification performance by using spatial information,and these methods have made it feasible to handle a wide range of problems associated with image *** with little information or low payload are used by information embedding methods,but the goal of all contemporary research is to employ high-payload images for *** address the need for both low-and high-payload images,this work provides a machine-learning approach to steganography image classification that uses Curvelet transformation to efficiently extract characteristics from both type of *** Vector Machine(SVM),a commonplace classification technique,has been employed to determine whether the image is a stego or *** Wavelet Obtained Weights(WOW),Spatial Universal Wavelet Relative Distortion(S-UNIWARD),Highly Undetectable Steganography(HUGO),and Minimizing the Power of Optimal Detector(MiPOD)steganography techniques are used in a variety of experimental scenarios to evaluate the performance of the *** WOW at several payloads,the proposed approach proves its classification accuracy of 98.60%.It exhibits its superiority over SOTA methods.

A consensus meeting of national experts from all major national hepatobiliary centres in the country was held on May 26,2023,at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute&Research Centre(PKLI&RC)after initial consultations with the *** Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Diseases(PSSLD)and PKLI&RC jointly organised this *** effort was based on a comprehensive literature review to establish national practice guidelines for hilar cholangiocarcinoma(hCCA).The consensus was that hCCA is a complex disease and requires a multidisciplinary team approach to best manage these *** coordinated effort can minimise delays and give patients a chance for curative treatment and effective *** diagnostic and staging workup includes high-quality computed tomography,magnetic resonance imaging,and magnetic resonance *** cytology or biopsy utilizing endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is a mainstay for ***,histopathologic confirmation is not always required before *** ultrasound with fine needle aspiration of regional lymph nodes and positron emission tomography scan are valuable adjuncts for *** only curative treatment is the surgical resection of the biliary tree based on the Bismuth-Corlette *** patients with unresectable hCCA can be considered for liver *** chemotherapy should be offered to patients with a high risk of *** use of preoperative biliary drainage and the need for portal vein embolisation should be based on local multidisciplinary *** with acute cholangitis can be drained with endoscopic or percutaneous biliary *** chemotherapy with cisplatin and gemcitabine has shown improved survival in patients with irresectable and recurrent hCCA.

The Naf River estuary is one of the most productive ecological ecosystems in Bangladesh providing an important feeding area for fishes and other aquatic ***,detailed information on macrobenthic communities is rarely available in this *** study focused on the seasonal and spatial variability of macrobenthic community structure with their biomass and functional *** total,fortyseven taxa were identified under nine major groups and seven functional feeding *** macrobenthic taxa,Polychaeta was dominant in both seasons and all over the estuary contributing 60%of total *** mean abundance of macrobenthos was higher during the pre-monsoon(2 972±1 994 inds./m^2)than the monsoon(1 572±361 inds./m^2)being maximum at mid-estuary region and minimum at upper and lower estuary *** the diversity indices,density(P=0.01,P=0.003),the number of taxa(P=0.000 3,P=0.000 9)and Margalef′s Index(P=0.000 4,P=0.001)of macrobenthos were significantly different among stations and ***-Weiner index(P=0.009,P=0.12)and Pielou’s evenness index(P=0.03,P=0.14)had significant differences among stations but not among *** analysis suggested that distribution of macrofauna is strongly influenced by *** the feeding types,carnivorous were found to be dominant at the upper and mid-estuarine regions,and herbivorous were at lower estuarine *** species were dominant in both *** have shown to be the most abundant feeding type in terms of biomass though herbivores were highest during monsoon.

Teleradiology plays a vital role in the medical field,which permits transmitting medical and imaging data over a communication *** ensures data reliability and provides convenient communication for clinical interpretation and diagnostic *** transmission of this medical data over a network raises the problems of legal,ethical issues,privacy,and copyright *** copyright protection of medical images is a significant issue in the medical *** schemes are used to address these issues.A gray-level or binary image is used as a watermark frequently in color image watermarking *** this paper,the authors propose a novel non-blind medical image watermarking scheme based on 2-D LiftingWavelet Transform(LWT),Multiresolution Singular Value Decomposition(MSVD),and LU factorization to improve the robustness and authenticity of medical *** this scheme,multiple color watermarks are embedded into the colored DICOM(Digital Imaging and Communications inMedicine)images obtained from Color Doppler images(DICOM format),and the average results achieved by our proposed scheme is 46.84 db for Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),37.46 db for Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR),0.99 for Quality of Image and 0.998 for Normalized Correlation for various image processing *** results make our watermarking technique an ideal candidate for medical image watermarking.

Background: Sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait are common erythrocyte disorders that are most often caused by a point mutation (rs334, designated HbS) in the hemoglobin beta gene (HBB);however of this fact, there is extreme variability in occurrence and clinical presentation of sickle cell disease which may be explained by some other genetic changes associated with the gene. In the present study we examined the association between HBB gene polymorphism rs33949930 T>C in the occurrence of sickle cell disease in Saudi Arabia population. Materials and Methods: A case control study of 100 sickle cell disease patients and 100 healthy controls from Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. HBB gene rs33949930 T>C polymorphism was analyzed using Allele specific polymerase chain reaction technique. Results: It was observed that the genotype percentages TT, TC and CC among the patients with sickle cell disease were 63.0%, 35.0% and 2.0% and healthy controls were 68.0%, 27.0% and 5.0% respectively. Allele frequency for T allele was observed to be fT = 0.20 and fT = 0.19, where as for C allele was fC = 0.80 and fC = 0.81 among cases and controls respectively (p = 0.29). Compared to the TT genotype, the odds ratio of 1.4 (95% CI 0.76 - 2.57), risk ratio of 1.2 (95% CI 0.86 - 1.65) and risk difference of 8.4 (-6.66 - 23.38) for heterozygous genotype of HBB rs33949930 T>C was observed in relation to sickle cell disease. In addition, some difference in the laboratory values was observed among sickle cell disease patients with the different variants of HBB gene rs33949930 T>C polymorphism, especially the carriers of heterozygous TC genotype;however, the difference doesn’t reach to statically significant number. Conclusion: Present study suggested that there was not any significant association between HBB gene rs33949930 T>C polymorphism and occurrence of sickle cell disease. Background: The variability in the distribution of the null phenotypes of GSTM1 and GSTT1, due to total or partial gene deletion resulting in the lack of the active enzyme, has been reported in different populations, especially in ethnically well-defined groups but not in Tabuk. This study investigated the variability in the distribution of the null phenotypes of GSTM1 and GSTT1 in the population of Tabuk (northwestern part of Saudi Arabia). Method: This study was conducted on 200 subjects of Tabuk—northwestern part of Saudi Arabia among which 100 were chronic smokers and 100 were nonsmokers. The subjects were reporting to hospital for routine checkup. All were without past history of any chronic disease and no significant abnormality. GST genotyping was done by multiplex PCR-based methods. The smoker and control groups were compared using a chi-square test with P GSTM1 deletion homozygosity of 14% and 1% was reported among non smokers and smokers, respectively whereas GSTT1 deletion homozygosity of 28% and 6% was reported among non smokers and smokers, respectively. Our results indicate that there are major differences in allelic distribution of GSTM1 and GSTT1 genes between the two groups investigated. Combined analysis of both genes revealed that 15% of smokers and non smokers harbor the deleted genotype of GSTM1 and 34% of smokers and non smokers harbor the deleted genotype of GSTT1 with significant differences. Conclusion: This study enables selecting subgroups among the general population who are more susceptible to DNA damage and will help genetic studies on the association of GST polymorphisms with disease risks and drug effects in Arab population. Studies with a larger sample size are needed to evaluate and confirm the validity of our results.

Campylobacter jejuni is a prominent bacterial cause of human gastroenteritis. Campylobacteriosis outbreaks reported were related to the ingestion of the contaminated food. Meat are reported to be frequently infected with C. jejuni. It is well recognized that C. jejuni is one of the main causes of gastroenteritis in humans, and poultry meat is reported to be the main source. A number of studies in several countries have shown the occurrence of C. jejuni in animal farms, slaughterhouses, and meat. This review simply describes the occurrence, spreading, and public health significance of C. jejuni.

Effect of Tillage and Residue Retention on Soil Properties and Crop Yields in Wheat-Mungbean-Rice Crop Rotation under Subtropical Humid Climate

The effects of conservation agriculture (CA) practices on soil properties along with crop yields of rice-based triple cropping systems have not been adequately assessed in Bangladesh. An experiment was conducted at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur, Bangladesh from 2009 to 2012 to assess the effects of tillage practices and crop residue retention on soil physical properties, soil organic carbon (SOC) and crop yields in a wheat-mungbean-rice system. Treatments consisted of three tillage practices (MT: minimum tillage;CT: conventional tillage and DT: deep tillage) and eight levels of crop residue management (S0—no residues retention, Sr—retention of 30 cm rice straw, Sm—whole mungbean stover retention, SW—30 cm wheat straw retention, Smr—whole mungbean stover & 30 cm rice straw retention, Srw—30 cm rice & wheat straw retention, Smw—whole mungbean stover & 30 cm wheat straw retention and Swrm—30 cm wheat and rice straw along with whole mungbean stover retention) were applied in split plot design with three replications. Bulk density (BD) and porosity responded positively to MT and increased residue retention of all crops (p > 0.05). Minimum tillage and Swrm also significantly accumulated SOC (p < 0.05;0.38% higher than DT with no residue retention) and retained soil moisture (p < 0.05). Minimum tillage practice performed better in upland crops (p < 0.05;wheat & mungbean yields) and CT outperformed MT in wetland rice crop (p < 0.05). The grain and straw yields of wheat and rice were also influenced by previous crop residue retentions (p < 0.05). The results, therefore, suggested that increased residue retention with minimum tillage practices improved soil properties and yield of upland crops but with deeper tillage practices consistently maintained wetland rice production.
