To elucidate the potential and sensitivity of cirradiation in Pongamia pinnata,the present study has been done by irradiating the air-dried seeds to differentγ-irradiation doses(100 Gy,200 Gy,400 Gy and 600 Gy),using 60Co *** increase(p≤0.05)in the germination,growth,and vigor was recorded under the100 Gy treatment than the control *** chlorophylla and total chlorophyll content(mgg-1 FW)in the leaves of *** showed a significant decrease under the higher irradiation treatments(200 Gy,400 Gy and 600 Gy).In contrast,chlorophyllb showed a radio-resistance up to 200 Gy dose,and above which its concentration declined significantly(p≤0.05).Photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance,intercellular CO2 concentration,and transpiration rate were stimulated by 100 Gy irradiation treatment and the higher doses inhibited these *** activity in the leaves of *** tended to increase after irradiation in a dose-dependent *** the plants under different treatments ofγ-irradiation showed stimulation in production of proline,flavonoid,and phenolic content in comparision to the *** findings of the present study showed thatγ-irradiation treatment stimulates the secondary metabolite production(proline,flavonoid and phenolic)and favours faster growth of ***.

Nanoemulsion systems were employed to encapsulate the orange peel extract obtained from conventional maceration and novel ultrasound assisted extraction *** wall materials maltodextrin(MD),whey protein isolate(WPI)and complex maltodextrin and whey protein isolate(MD/WPI)(1:1)were used in order to enhance the nanoemulsion stability,protect the bioactive core from degradation and control the release of bioactive *** freeze drying technology was then used to obtain powder encapsulates with encapsulation efficiency and loading capacity of MD,WPI and MD/WPI as 89.3,91.2,95.6%and 95.3,94.4 and 93.1%respectively which depicts that encapsulation has taken place *** emulsions obtained were in nanoscale range with average hydrodynamic diameter as 105.0,201.82,215.12 and 298.82 for primary W/O emulsion,MD,WPI and MD/WPI stabilised emulsions *** encapsulates were then incorporated in soyabean and mustard oil at different concentration 100,200 and 300 ppm and compared with free extract and synthetic antioxidant BHT to enhance storage life by controlling the oxidative changes during accelerated shelf life storage at 60o C for 24 *** results obtained concluded that nanoencapsulated extracts performed better in prevention of oxidative indices than the free ***,nanocapsules encapsulated by MD/WPI exhibited higher protection of oils during storage than the maltodextrin and whey protein isolate.

Medical imaging plays a key role within modern hospital management systems for diagnostic *** methodologies are extensively employed to mitigate storage demands and enhance transmission speed,all while upholding image ***,an increasing number of hospitals are embracing cloud computing for patient data storage,necessitating meticulous scrutiny of server security and privacy ***,considering the widespread availability of multimedia tools,the preservation of digital data integrity surpasses the significance of compression *** response to this concern,we propose a secure storage and transmission solution for compressed medical image sequences,such as ultrasound images,utilizing a motion vector watermarking *** watermark is generated employing an error-correcting code known as Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem(BCH)and is subsequently embedded into the compressed sequence via block-based motion *** the process of watermark embedding,motion vectors are selected based on their magnitude and phase *** embedding watermarks,no specific spatial area,such as a region of interest(ROI),is used in the *** embedding of watermark bits is dependent on motion *** reversible watermarking allows the restoration of the original image sequences,we use the irreversible watermarking *** reason for this is that the use of reversible watermarks may impede the claims of ownership and legal *** restoration of original data or images may call into question ownership or other legal *** peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)and structural similarity index(SSIM)serve as metrics for evaluating the watermarked image *** all images,the PSNR value exceeds 46 dB,and the SSIM value exceeds *** results substantiate the efficacy of the proposed technique in preserving data integrity.

The editorial discusses the impact of liver metastasis on immunotherapy efficacy in gastric cancer(GC)*** metastasis can hinder the effectiveness of immunotherapy by altering the immune microenvironment,leading to systemic loss of T-cells and reduced treatment *** suggest that liver meta-stases serve as a negative baseline factor for immunotherapy efficacy,resulting in poorer progression-free survival and objective response *** such as liver-mediated radiotherapy may help improve treatment outcomes by reshaping the liver’s immune microenvironment and reducing T-cell ***-ing the complex interplay between liver metastasis and immunotherapy response is crucial for optimising patient care in GC.

Nanoencapsulation of pomegranate peel extract using maltodextrin and whey protein ***,release behaviour and antioxidant potential during simulated invitro digestion

In the present experiment nanoencapsulation of pomegranate peel extract using maltodextrin(MD),whey protein isolate(WPI)and combination of maltodextrin and whey protein isolate(1:1)(MD/WPI)was carried *** followed by ultrasonication was performed to reduce the particle size to nanoscale range and improve functional properties of bioactive *** was then done to obtain the final powder samples with encapsulation efficiency in the range of 85 to 96%.When comparing release behaviour of nanoencapsulated pomegranate peel extract with the free extract,it was revealed that encapsulated ones show controlled release of bioactive core while as in free extract,the bioactives were released more in the gastric phase than the targeted intestinal *** antiproliferative activity was also performed using different cancer cell lines and it was found that nanoencapsulated samples decrease the%proliferation in better way than the free extract with higher efficiency in the samples encapsulated by MD/WPI.

The pharmaceutical industry increasingly values medicinal plants due to their perceived safety and costeffectiveness compared to modern *** the extensive history of medicinal plant usage,various plant parts,including flowers,leaves,and roots,have been acknowledged for their healing properties and employed in plant *** images,however,stand out as the preferred and easily accessible source of *** plant identification by plant taxonomists is intricate,time-consuming,and prone to errors,relying heavily on human *** intelligence(AI)techniques offer a solution by automating plant recognition *** study thoroughly examines cutting-edge AI approaches for leaf image-based plant identification,drawing insights from literature across renowned *** paper critically summarizes relevant literature based on AI algorithms,extracted features,and results ***,it analyzes extensively used datasets in automated plant classification *** also offers deep insights into implemented techniques and methods employed for medicinal plant ***,this rigorous review study discusses opportunities and challenges in employing these AI-based ***,in-depth statistical findings and lessons learned from this survey are highlighted with novel research areas with the aim of offering insights to the readers and motivating new research *** review is expected to serve as a foundational resource for future researchers in the field of AI-based identification of medicinal plants.

Kiwifruits were dried with convection drying,microwave drying and hybrid drying methods(hot air+microwave).Effect of different drying treatments-convection drying(CD),microwave drying(MD)and hybrid drying(HD)on physicochemical,nutritional and anti-oxidant properties of kiwifruits were *** hybrid drying technique significantly reduced drying time and increased drying rate as compared to other drying *** dried kiwifruit slices showed the best texture attributes(low hardness,low shrinkage),better color(L*,a*,b*)and were rated best in sensory *** retention of bio-active compounds and reduced browning was also found in HD kiwifruit *** analysis results showed significant positive correlation of phenols with antioxidant *** methods significantly(p<0.05)reduced protein and fat content of dried kiwi ***,a predominant decrease in protein and fat content was recorded in individual drying methods(Convection drying and Microwave drying).Hence,HD could be a more promising technique for development of dried kiwifruit slices.

The escalating conflict between human and wildlife due to competing demands for limited space and resources has raised concerns worldwide,and understanding the dynamics of this conflict is crucial for devising effective strategies and *** present study is an attempt to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the published literature on the topic of human-wildlife conflict(HWC)for the period of January 1991–February *** carrying out the analysis of the data obtained from Web of Science,the‘Bibliometrix'tool,developed through the R programming language,was *** findings of the study revealed that a total of 1592 documents have been published on the HWC research topic from January 1991 to February 2023 within 338 *** is observed that the number of publications has continuously increased since 1991,with an annual growth rate of 5.16%.A total of 4995 authors have contributed to the targeted research *** the 388 sources,the journal‘Biological Conservation'is the most relevant and productive,followed by‘Oryx'and‘Human Dimensions of Wildlife'.Based on the country production analysis,authors from 110 countries have contributed to the field,and the USA has the highest frequency of publications on HWC,followed by the UK and *** USA also has the highest multiple country publications and has collaborated with 88 countries,with the highest frequency of collaboration with the UK,followed by India,Australia,and South *** most frequently used keywords include‘human-wildlife conflict',‘conservation',‘conflict',‘human-wildlife',‘wildlife',‘wildlife management',‘livestock',‘management',‘coexistence',and‘carnivore'.The present study identifies the most prolific authors,sources,institutions,and countries,as well as the study hotspots in the subject of HWC,which may assist researchers in finding the best working and publication ***,it may also help them identify reliable research partners to acquire the best findings and develop mo
