Purpose-Optimum utilization of investments has always been considered one of the most crucial aspects of capital *** into various securities is the subject of portfolio optimization intent to maximize return at minimum *** this series,a population-based evolutionary approach,stochastic fractal search(SFS),is derived from the natural growth *** study aims to develop portfolio selection model using SFS approach to construct an efficient portfolio by optimizing the Sharpe ratio with risk budgeting ***/methodology/approach-This paper proposes a constrained portfolio optimization model using the SFS approach with risk-budgeting *** is an evolutionary method inspired by the natural growth process which has been modeled using the fractal *** analysis has been conducted to determine the effectiveness of the proposed model by making comparisons with state-of-the-art from domain such as genetic algorithm,particle swarm optimization,simulated annealing and differential *** real datasets of the Indian stock exchanges and datasets of global stock exchanges such as Nikkei 225,DAX 100,FTSE 100,Hang Seng31 and S&P 100 have been taken in the ***-The study confirms the better performance of the SFS model among its ***,statistical analysis has been done using SPSS 20 to confirm the hypothesis developed in the experimental ***/value-In the recent past,researchers have already proposed a significant number of models to solve portfolio selection problems using the meta-heuristic ***,this is the first attempt to apply the SFS optimization approach to the problem.

Herein,we reported a facile,cost efficient,synthesis of Gr@NiCu NCs nanocomposite and explored their application in supercapacitor and antibacterial *** Graphene sheets in the NiCu based electrode showed a high specific surface area and supports conductive networks decorated with oxygen groups,which synergistically improve charge storage ***,Gr@NiCu NCs contain hydrophilic oxygen groups of chemically reduced graphene oxide,which allows easy access of the electrolyte to the electrode’s *** electrochemical study demonstrated the highest specific capacitance of 977 Fg^(-1) at 10 Ag^(-1) and remarkable cyclic retentiveness~90%even after 1000 cycles.A noteworthy energy density of the Gr@NiCu NCs achieves approximately 542 KWh kg^(-1) and a power density of 21 kW kg^(-1) acquired through the CD description utilizing a current density of 10 Ag^(-1).The antimicrobial activity of synthesized Gr@NiCu NCs was performed against ***,***,and MRSA ATCC BAA 1708,***(ATCC 27853),***(MTCC SM 497)strains compared with ampicillin antibiotic *** potent antibacterial activity is attributable to the synergistic apoptosis from Cu2þand bacter.

Biochemical synthesis of silver nanoprticles using filamentous fungi Penicillium decumbens (MTCC-2494) and its efficacy against A-549 lung cancer cell line

Biosynthesis of silver and other metallic nanoparticles is one of the emerging research area in the field of science and technology due to their potentiality, especially in the field of nano-biotechnology and biomedical sciences in order to develop nanomedicine. In our present study, Penicillium decumbens(MTCC-2494) was brought from Institute of Microbial Technology(IMTECH) Chandigarh and employed for extracellular biological synthesis of silver nanoparticles. Ag-NPs formation was appeared with a dark brown color inside the conical flask. Characterization of Ag-NPs were done by UV-Spectrophotometric analysis which showed absorption peak at 430 nm determines the presence of nanoparticles, Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopic analysis, showed amines and amides are the possible proteins involved in the stabilization of nanoparticles as capping agent. Atomic force Microscopy(AFM) confirmed the particle are spherical, size was around 30 to 60 nm and also the roughness of nanoparticles. Field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) showed the topology of the nanoparticles and were spherical in shape. The biosynthesis process was found fast, ecofriendly and cost effective. Nano-silver particle was found to have a broad antimicrobial activity and also it showed good enhancement of antimicrobial activity of Carbenicillin, Piperacillin, Cefixime, Amoxicillin, Ofloxacin and Sparfloxacin in a synergistic mode. These Ag-NPs showed good anti-cancer activity at 80 μg·m L^(-1) upon 24 hours of incubation and toxicity increases upon 48 hours of incubation against A-549 human lung cancer cell line and the synergistic formulation of the antibiotic with the synthesized nanoparticles was found more effective against the pathogenic bacteria studied.

Classification is one of the data mining processes used to predict predetermined target classes with data learning *** study discusses data classification using a fuzzy soft set method to predict target classes *** study aims to form a data classification algorithm using the fuzzy soft set *** this study,the fuzzy soft set was calculated based on the normalized Hamming *** parameter in this method is mapped to a power set from a subset of the fuzzy set using a fuzzy approximation *** the classification step,a generalized normalized Euclidean distance is used to determine the similarity between two sets of fuzzy soft *** experiments used the University of California(UCI)Machine Learning dataset to assess the accuracy of the proposed data classification *** dataset samples were divided into training(75%of samples)and test(25%of samples)*** were performed in MATLAB R2010a *** experiments showed that:(1)The fastest sequence is matching function,distance measure,similarity,normalized Euclidean distance,(2)the proposed approach can improve accuracy and recall by up to 10.3436%and 6.9723%,respectively,compared with baseline ***,the fuzzy soft set method is appropriate for classifying data.

BACKGROUND Open ureteric reimplantation by cross trigonal technique described by Cohen is considered a common surgical option for correction of vesicoureteral reflux(VUR). There is a lack of evidence in literature though for what happens to such kidneys, in the long run, particularly those which are poorly *** To assess the long-term outcomes of ureteric reimplantation in poorly functioning kidneys in children with unilateral primary *** Children with unilateral primary VUR and a relative renal function of less than 35% who underwent open or laparoscopic ureteric reimplantation between January 2005 and January 2017 were included in the study. Patients who had a follow up of less than five years were excluded. Preoperative evaluation consisted of a voiding cystourethrogram and Dimercaptosuccinic acid(DMSA) scan. In the follow-up period, patients underwent a diuretic scan at 6 weeks and 6 *** up ultrasound was done for change in grade of hydronephrosis and retrovesical ureteric diameter. Subsequent follow up was done at 6 monthly intervals with evaluation for proteinuria and hypertension and any recurrent urinary tract infection(UTI). For assessment of cortical function, DMSA was repeated annually for 5 years after surgery. A paired-samples t-test was used to test the mean difference of DMSA between pre-post *** During this period, 36 children underwent ureteric reimplantation for unilateral primary VUR. After excluding those with insufficient follow-up, 31 were included in the analysis. Most of the patients were males(n = 26/31, 83.8%). Patient’s age(mean ± SD, range) was 5.21 ± 3.71, 1-18 years. The grades of VUR were grade Ⅱ(1patient), grade Ⅲ(8 patients), grade Ⅳ(10 patients), and grade Ⅴ(12 patients). The pre and postoperative DMSA was 24.064 ± 12.02 and 24.06 ± 10.93, which was almost the same(statistically equal, paired-samples t-test: P = 0.873). In the present study, a mathematical model has been developed to predict the abrasive wear behavior of Al 6061. The experiments have been conducted using central composite design in the design of experiments (DOE) on pin-on-disc type wear testing machine, against abrasive media. A second order polynomial model has been developed for the prediction of wear loss. The model was developed by response surface method (RSM). Analysis of variance technique at the 95% confidence level was applied to check the validity of the model. The effect of volume percentage of reinforcement, applied load and sliding velocity on abrasive wear behavior was analyzed in detail. To judge the efficiency and ability of the model, the comparison of predicted and experimental response values outside the design conditions was carried out. The result shows, good correspondence, implying that, empirical models derived from response surface approach can be used to describe the tribological behavior of the above composite.

Effect of pH on Mechanical, Physical and Tribological Properties of Electroless Ni-P-Al2〇 3 Composite Deposits for Marine Applications

： Successful co-deposition of fine particulate matter within an Electroless Nickel-Phosphorous （ENi-P） matrix is dependent on various factors like bath composition, particle compatibility with metallic matrix, bath reactivity （pH）, particle size and their distribution. ENi-P deposits incorporating Al2O3/ Alumina in a disperse phase have varied effects on properties and attributes like surface roughness （Ra／ microhardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and surface morphology of the deposits obtained. This paper experimentally investigates the effect of alumina （1.55 g/L） on Ra, microhardness, surface morphology, deposition rate, wettability, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of ENi-P-Al2O3 composite deposits on mild steel substrates at bath pH 5, 7 and 9. Study reveals that optimum deposit parameters and deposition rates are achieved with bath pH. However, not much study has been undertaken concerning composite deposits obtained from higher bath pH or basic bath. This is attributable to the fact that at higher bath pH or alkaline baths, the bath gets unstable and eventually degrades or decomposes, thereby resulting in sub optimal or poor deposition. Hence, experimental investigations carried out by preparing suitable baths, operating under optimum conditions, and enabling successful composite deposition in acidic and alkaline baths have revealed that there is a significant improvement in the above mentioned properties of the as-deposited composite deposits, as the pH is increased from pH 5 to pH 9. This aspect can therefore be advantageously utilized for preparing various marine components like fasteners, nuts, bolts, washers, pipes, cables, components having relative motion etc.
