Blade Wrap Angle Impact on Centrifugal Pump Performance:Entropy Generation and Fluid-Structure Interaction Analysis

The centrifugal pump is a prevalent power equipment widely used in different engineering patterns,and the impeller blade wrap angle significantly impacts its performance.A numerical investigation was conducted to analyze the influence of the blade wrap angle on flow characteristics and energy distribution of a centrifugal pump evaluated as a low specific speed with a value of *** study investigates six impellermodels that possess varying blade wrap angles(95°,105°,115°,125°,135°,and 145°)that were created while maintaining the same volute and other geometrical *** investigation of energy loss was conducted to evaluate the values of total and entropy generation rates(TEG,EGR).The fluid-structure interaction was considered numerically using the software tools ANSYS Fluent and *** elastic structural dynamic equation was used to estimate the structural response,while the shear stress transport k–ωturbulence model was utilized for the fluid domain *** findings suggest that the blade wrap angle has a significant influence on the efficiency of the *** impeller featuring a blade wrap angle of 145°exhibits higher efficiency,with a notable increase of 3.76%relative to the original *** in the blade wrap angle impact the energy loss,shaft power,and pump *** model with a 145°angle exhibited a maximum equivalent stress of 14.8MPa and a total deformation of 0.084 *** results provide valuable insights into the intricate flow mechanism of the centrifugal pump,particularly when considering various blade wrap angles.

Objective:To determine the distribution,phenotypic and genetic background of extended spectrumβ-lactamases(ESBL)-producing Klebsiella(K.)pneumoniae clinical isolates associated with K1 and K2 serotypes in two selected hospitals in ***:A total of 192 *** isolates were collected and subjected to antibiotic susceptibility,hypermucoviscosity test and multiplex PCR to detect the presence of K1-and K2-serotype associated *** sequence typing(MLST)was performed on ESBL-producing *** isolates presented with K1 and K2 serotypes,followed by phylogenetic ***:A total of 87 out of 192(45.3%)of the *** isolates collected were ESBL ***,only 8.3%(16/192)and 10.9%(21/192)of the total isolates were detected to carry K1-and K2-serotype associated genes,*** analysis showed that K1 and K2 capsular serotypes were not significantly associated with ESBL phenotype(P=0.196).However,they were significantly associated with hypervirulent,as demonstrated by the positive string test(P<0.001).MLST analysis revealed that ST23 as the predominant sequence type(ST)in the K1 serotype,while the ST in the K2 serotype is more ***:Although the occurrence of ESBL-producing isolates among the hypervirulent strains was low,their coexistence warrants the need for continuous *** showed that these isolates were genetically heterogeneous.

Defensive traditional architecture research is critical to the understanding of the ethnic history and multiethnic ***,there are few studies on the combination of traditional architecture and multiethnicity,and most of the defensive traditional buildings in multiethnic villages of Guangxi are facing the plight of being destroyed and *** aim of this research is to identify the spatial characteristics,commonalities,and differences of Guangxi’s defensive traditional architecture with Mozhuang Village and Guxietun Village as the examples,in order to preserve the architectural and ethnic components of these *** research uses the four research methods:literature review,field research,observation and space syntax analysis,and it summarizes the three results from the five aspects:plan,elevation,construction material,masonry and *** showed that the spatial characteristics are dominated by the ethnic group with the higher technological,cultural or economic level,and there are both commonalities and differences in defensive traditional architecture in multiethnic *** on the three study results,this research proposes some overall suggestions toward traditional villages and architecture improvement in ethnic areas.

Soil is of particular interest to the forensic community because it can be used as valuable associative evidence to link a suspect to a victim or a crime *** chromatography is a powerful analytical tool for organic compound ***,high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)has proven to be an efficient method for forensic soil analysis,especially in discriminating soils from proximity ***,ultra-performance liquid chromatography(UPLC),which is much more sensitive than HPLC,has never been explored in this *** study proposed a UPLC method for profiling non-volatile organic compounds in three Malaysian soils(red,brown and yellowish-brown soils).The three soils were analysed separately to assess the effects of individual chromatographic parameters:(a)elution programme(isocratic *** gradient programmes);(b)flow rate(0.1 vs.0.2 mL/min);(c)extraction solvent(acetonitrile ***)and(d)detection wavelength(230 vs.254 nm).The injection volume and total run time were set to 5μL and 35 min,***,each soil sample gave 24 different *** showed that the most desirable chromatographic parameters were(a)isocratic elution;(b)flow rate at 0.2 mL/min and(c)acetonitrile extraction *** proposed UPLC system is expected to be a feasible method for profiling non-volatile organic compounds in soil,and is more chemical-efficient than a comparable HPLC system.

Latex as an asphalt modifier has gained popularity in the asphalt industry as it improves the durability of asphalt ***,the elastomeric properties of latex stiffen the asphalt binders,resulting in additional energy consumption during the production of asphalt mixtures,which may cause a higher emission of greenhouse *** is undesirable for sustainable development and the *** this study,the applicability of diluted methanol and water was comparatively evaluated as foaming agents in the production of warm mix asphalt(WMA)mixtures incorporating *** methanol was used because it has a lower boiling point and latent heat than water,allowing the asphalt mixture to be produced at a lower temperature and thus consuming less *** performance of the foamed asphalt mixture was investigated through service characteristics,mechanical performance,and moisture susceptibility of *** service characteristics,on the other hand,were measured in a laboratory while preparing and compacting the asphalt mixture,which refers to the amount of energy required during the production and construction stages in the asphalt plant and on the construction site,*** degree of energy required was assessed based on the workability index,coatability index,and the compaction energy *** mechanical performance of asphalt mixtures was characterized by indirect tensile strength,resilient modulus,and dynamic creep *** resistance to moisture damage was evaluated based on the common parameter,indirect tensile strength *** findings revealed that the use of diluted methanol foaming agent helped improve the workability of latex modified asphalt *** foamed latex-modified WMA demonstrated better performance compared to asphalt mixtures prepared using water as the foaming agent.

Anomaly detection in high dimensional data is a critical research issue with serious implication in the real-world *** issues in this field still unsolved,so several modern anomaly detection methods struggle to maintain adequate accuracy due to the highly descriptive nature of big *** a phenomenon is referred to as the“curse of dimensionality”that affects traditional techniques in terms of both accuracy and ***,this research proposed a hybrid model based on Deep Autoencoder Neural Network(DANN)with five layers to reduce the difference between the input and *** proposed model was applied to a real-world gas turbine(GT)dataset that contains 87620 columns and 56 *** the experiment,two issues have been investigated and solved to enhance the *** first is the dataset class imbalance,which solved using SMOTE *** second issue is the poor performance,which can be solved using one of the optimization *** optimization algorithms have been investigated and tested,including stochastic gradient descent(SGD),RMSprop,Adam and ***,Adamax optimization algorithm showed the best results when employed to train *** experimental results show that our proposed model can detect the anomalies by efficiently reducing the high dimensionality of dataset with accuracy of 99.40%,F1-score of 0.9649,Area Under the Curve(AUC)rate of 0.9649,and a minimal loss function during the hybrid model training.

Prediction of machine failure is challenging as the dataset is often imbalanced with a low failure *** common approach to han-dle classification involving imbalanced data is to balance the data using a sampling approach such as random undersampling,random oversampling,or Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique(SMOTE)*** paper compared the classification performance of three popular classifiers(Logistic Regression,Gaussian Naïve Bayes,and Support Vector Machine)in predicting machine failure in the Oil and Gas *** original machine failure dataset consists of 20,473 hourly data and is imbalanced with 19945(97%)‘non-failure’and 528(3%)‘failure data’.The three independent variables to predict machine failure were pressure indicator,flow indicator,and level *** accuracy of the classifiers is very high and close to 100%,but the sensitivity of all classifiers using the original dataset was close to *** performance of the three classifiers was then evaluated for data with different imbalance rates(10%to 50%)generated from the original data using SMOTE,SMOTE-Support Vector Machine(SMOTE-SVM)and SMOTE-Edited Nearest Neighbour(SMOTE-ENN).The classifiers were evaluated based on improvement in sensitivity and *** showed that the sensitivity of all classifiers increases as the imbalance rate *** with radial basis function(RBF)kernel has the highest sensitivity when data is balanced(50:50)using SMOTE(Sensitivitytest=0.5686,Ftest=0.6927)compared to Naïve Bayes(Sensitivitytest=0.4033,Ftest=0.6218)and Logistic Regression(Sensitivitytest=0.4194,Ftest=0.621).Overall,the Gaussian Naïve Bayes model consistently improves sensitivity and F-measure as the imbalance ratio increases,but the sensitivity is below 50%.The classifiers performed better when data was balanced using SMOTE-SVM compared to SMOTE and SMOTE-ENN.

Photon absorption parameters such as mass attenuation coefficients(μ_m),molar extinction coefficients(ε),total molecular(σ_(t,m)),atomic(σ_(t,a))and electronic(σ_(t,el))cross sections,half-value layers(X_(1/2)),tenth-value layers(X_(1/10)),mean free paths(λ),effective atomic numbers(Z_(eff)),and effective electron densities(N_(el))were estimated for defatted soy flour(DSF),soy protein concentrate(SPC),and soy protein isolate(SPI)-based Rhizophora *** composites substituted with 10 wt%sodium hydroxide(NaOH)and 0,5,10,and 15 wt%itaconic acid polyamidoamine-epichlorohydrin(IA-PAE)*** composition was assessed using ultrahigh-resolution field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry(UHR-FESEM-EDX).The interaction parameters were evaluated for K_(α1)photons at16.59,17.46,21.21,and 25.26 keV,employing a low-energy germanium(LEGe)detector system and an~(241)Amγ-ray source.X-ray diffraction characterization revealed an amorphous phase in the developed particleboard *** DSF15',SPC15',and SPI15'exhibited the highest values ofμ_m,ε,σ_(t,m),Zeff,and N_(el)among all of the studied particleboard samples,within the range of measured photon *** addition,all of the modified samples exhibited lower X_(1/2),X_(1/10),λ,σ_(t,a),andσ_(t,el)than the unmodified samples,with DSF-,SPC-,and SPI/NaOH/Rhizophora spp./IA-PAE(15 wt%),indicating insignificant *** current results of the particleboard samples'analysis can be useful for medical radiation applications and shielding research.
