Dynamics of Caputo fractional-order SIRV model:The effects of imperfect vaccination on disease transmission

Though vaccination protects individuals against many infectious diseases,such protection does not always last forever since a few vaccinated individuals could lose their lifelong immunity and eventually become *** study,therefore,determines the effects of imperfect vaccination and memory index on the spread of diseases through the Caputo fractional-order SIRV(Susceptible-Infected-Recovered-Vaccinated)epidemic *** properties of the new model including the conditions for the existence of a unique solution determined through the fixed-point theory and the conditions for the existence of a positive solution of the model obtained via the Mittag-Leffler function along with the Laplace transformation-are thoroughly ***,our simulation results report that an increase in the imperfect vaccination force increases the population of infected *** the memory effect,the higher“memory”the epidemic system has of past states(which corresponds to decreasing values of fractionalorder parameter),the greater the peaks and magnitudes of infection shaping the epidemiological system dynamics.

Due to polymorphic nature of malware attack,a signature-based analysis is no longer sufficient to solve polymorphic and stealth nature ofmalware *** the other hand,state-of-the-art methods like deep learning require labelled dataset as a target to train a supervised *** is unlikely to be the case in production network as the dataset is unstructured and has no *** an unsupervised learning is *** study is one of the techniques to elicit traffic ***,studies have shown that existing behavioral intrusion detection model had a few issues which had been parameterized into its common characteristics,namely lack of prior information(p(θ)),and reduced parameters(θ).Therefore,this study aims to utilize the previously built Feature Selection Model subsequently to design a Predictive Analytics Model based on Bayesian Network used to improve the analysis *** Selection Model is used to learn significant label as a target and Bayesian Network is a sophisticated probabilistic approach to predict ***,the results are extended to evaluate detection,accuracy and false alarm rate of the model against the subject matter expert model,Support Vector Machine(SVM),k nearest neighbor(k-NN)using simulated and ground-truth *** ground-truth dataset from the production traffic of one of the largest healthcare provider in Malaysia is used to promote realism on the real use case *** have shown that the proposed model consistently outperformed other models.

Broadband response metamaterial absorber(MMA)remains a challenge among researchers.A nanostructured new zero-indexed metamaterial(ZIM)absorber is presented in this study,constructed with a hexagonal shape resonator for optical region *** design consists of a resonator and dielectric layers made with tungsten and quartz(Fused).The proposed absorbent exhibits average absorption of more than 0.8972(89.72%)within the visible wavelength of 450–600 nm and nearly perfect absorption of 0.99(99%)at 461.61 *** on computational analysis,the proposed absorber can be characterized as *** developments of ZIM absorbers have demonstrated plasmonic resonance characteristics and a perfect impedance *** incidence obliquity in typically the range of 0◦–90◦both in TE and TM mode with maximum absorbance is more than 0.8972(∼89.72%),and up to 45◦angular stability is suitable for solar cell applications,like exploiting solar *** proposed structure prototype is designed and simulated by studying microwave technology numerical computer simulation(CST)*** finite integration technique(FIT)based simulator CST and finite element method(FEM)based simulator HFSS also helps validate the numerical data of the proposed ZIM *** proposed MMA design is appropriate for substantial absorption,wide-angle stability,absolute invisible layers,magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),color images,and thermal imaging applications.

Plants have provided sources to find novel compounds. These plants are being used as therapeutic purposes since the birth of mankind. The traditional healers normally utilize medicinal plants as crude drugs while scientists using the folk claim as guides to explore medicinal plants. Moringa oleifera is a famous edible plant having therapeutic and nutritive values. The present study was designed to cumulate the research data regarding to what extent, phytochemical, nutritional and glycemic control studies has been explored using its different extracts. The articles indicated that the powder, aqueous, methanol and ethanol extracts of Moringa oleifera(leaves, pods, seeds, stem and root bark) have significant therapeutic herbal potential to treat diabetes mellitus. Collectively, the mechanism behind is intestinal glucose inhibition, insulin release as well as decrease in insulin resistance probably regeneration of b-cells of pancreas, increase in glutathione and reduction in malondialdehyde. Conclusively, this article give descriptive information about antidiabetic effect, claimed marker compounds and proposed antihyperglycemic mechanism of a single plant. It can be suggested a potential herbal source to treat diabetes mellitus as being widely accepted by major population as nutrition and therapeutic agent.

This work presents a dual band epsilon negative(ENG)metamaterial with a bilateral coupled split ring resonator(SRR)for use in C and X band wireless communication *** traditional split-ring resonator(SRR)has been amended with this engineered *** proposed metamaterial unit cell is realized on the 1.6 mm thick FR-4 printed media with a dimension of 10×10 *** resonating patch built with a square split outer *** interlinked inner rings are coupled vertically to the outer ring to extend its electrical length as well as to tune the resonance *** simulation is performed using CST studio suite 2019 to design and performance *** transmission coefficient(S21)of the proposed unit cell and array configuration exhibits two resonances at 6.7 and 10.5 GHz with wide bandwidth extended from 4.86 to 8.06 GHz and 10.1 to 11.2 GHz,*** permittivity is noted at frequencies between 6.76–9.5 GHz and 10.5–12 GHz,consecutively,with near-zero refractive index and *** optimal EMR value depicts the compactness of the proposed *** 1×2,2×2 and 4×4 arrays are analyzed that shows similar response compared to the unit *** results of the 2×2 array shows the close similarity of S21 response as compared to *** observed properties of the proposed unit cell ascertain its suitability for wireless communications by enhancing the gain and directivity of the antenna system.

Affordable hydrophobic hollow fibre membranes were prepared using kaolin and alumina based ceramic powders via a combined phase inversion and sintering technique,followed by a grafting with fluoroalkylsilane(FAS).The crux of the matter in this paper is to study the changes in the properties of the hollow fibre membranes(gas permeation,mechanical strength,pore size,porosity,tortuosity,morphology,and contact angle)by the addition of alumina(Al2O3)to the pure kaolin with mono or multiparticle *** varying the overall loading and particle size of alumina addition,different morphologies of the membranes were obtained due to the differences in the path lengths during phase inversion process for each solvent and nonsolvent *** successful grafting with FAS was evidenced by the increase in contact angle from nearly equal to zero degree before grafting to 140°after ***-alumina-4,one of the hollow fibres fabricated in this work,achieved a mean pore size of 0.25μm with the bending strength of 96.4 MPa and high nitrogen permeance of 2.3×10^(-5) mol·m^(-2)·Pa^(-1)·s^(-1),which makes the hollow fibre most suitable for the membrane contactor application.

This study presents an Epsilon Mu near-zero(EMNZ)nanostructured metamaterial absorber(NMMA)for visible regime *** resonator and dielectric layers are made of tungsten(W)and quartz(fused),where the working band is expanded by changing the resonator layer’s *** to perfect impedance matching with plasmonic resonance characteristics,the proposed NMMA structure is achieved an excellent absorption of 99.99%at 571 THz,99.50%at 488.26 THz,and 99.32%at 598 THz *** absorption mechanism is demonstrated by the theory of impedance,electric field,and power loss density distributions,*** geometric parameters are explored and analyzed to show the structure’s performance,and a near-field pattern is used to explain the absorption mechanism at the resonance frequency *** numerical analysis method describes that the proposed structure exhibited more than 80%absorbability between 550 and 900 *** Computer Simulation Technology(CST Microwave Studio 2019)software is used to design the proposed ***,CSTHFSS interference is validated by the simulation data with the help of the finite element method(FEM).The proposed NMMA structure is also exhibits glucose concentration sensing capability as *** the proposed broadband absorber may have a potential application in THz sensing,imaging(MRI,thermal,color),solar energy harvesting,light modulators,and optoelectronic devices.

Objective: To test the effectiveness of conidial spore formulations [Aspergillus tubingensis(***) and Trichoderma harzianum(***)] against tropical bed bugs, Cimex ***: Spore formulations were made from two fungal strains, *** and *** bed bugs were exposed to the conidial spores placed soaked onto a fabric cloth for 1 h and the mortality counts were recorded daily until 14 ***: Mean survival times based on Kaplan–Meier survival analysis showed no significant differences between all the concentrations in both the fungal isolates:*** and ***, the evaluation of both the isolates in terms of virulence resulted in low lethal hours in all the concentrations except for the high concentration of ***(LT_(50)= 44.629 h) at the conidial exposure of 1 × 10~6 spores/*** mortality of the bed bugs was observed from Day 6 to Day 12, ranging from 13% to 90% in all three concentrations of *** reference to the *** exposure, the concentration of 1 × 10~4 spores/mL displayed a gradual increase in the percentage mortality of 90 on Day ***: Approaches to the bed bugs treatment should be explored in-depth using a natural biological agent like fungus especially *** to reduce this pest population, in order to replace chemical methods.

The Roles of Biotic Interactions and Environmental Factors on Multispecies Dynamics

The distributions of species in their habitats are constantly changing. This phenomenon is thought to be determined by species’ environmental tolerance and biotic interactions for limited resources and space. Consequently, predicting the future distribution of species is a major challenge in ecology. To address this problem, we use mathematical model to study the combined effects of biotic interactions (e.g. competition) and environmental factors on multiple species community assembly in a heterogenous environment. To gain insights into the dynamics of this ecological system, we perform both analytical and numerical analyses of the range margins of the species. We observe that the range margins of the species can be influenced by biotic interactions combined with environmental factors. Depending on the strength of biotic interactions, our model exhibits coexistence of species and priority effects;mediated by weak and intense biotic interactions respectively. We also show the existence of bifurcation points (i.e. the threshold values of competition coefficient) which lead to the presence—absence of different species. Thus, we suggest that adequate knowledge of biotic interactions and changes in the environments is important for effective maintenance of biodiversity and conservation management.
