Seasonal Behaviour of Mesoscale Eddy Trajectories in the North Indian Ocean Based on Satellite Altimetry

In the north Indian Ocean (NIO), maps of sea level anomaly from satellite altimetry were analysed from January-1995 to December-2000. The study attempted to trace the trajectories of the individual mesoscale anomalies manually and to understand seasonal changes in terms of phase speed. Mesoscale anomalies are detected as concentric circular shapes and diameters of ~90 km to 600 km and the minimum 30 days life cycle. Relatively higher eddy kinetic energy was noticed in the northwestern region of the NIO. Individual mesoscale anomalies, namely positive (warm, anticyclonic eddies) and negative (cold, cyclonic eddies) showing travelling direction westward in the NIO basins. In autumn, the number of negative anomalies detected is more than positive anomalies and vice versa during summer. The westward propagating positive (negative) anomalies in the Arabian Sea start appearing in winter (spring) along (away from) the west coast of India and west of 65°E;individual anomalies move to the west in spring/summer/autumn and collide along Somalia’s & Arabian coast. A group of positive (negative) anomalies trajectories appears as a tail at the southern tip of India are located west of the Laccadive ridge in winter (summer to autumn) associated with LH (LL). The Bay of Bengal (BB) trajectories show southwestward in northern BB, westward in central BB and northwestward in southern BB;individual anomalies are appearing along the west coast of Andaman & Nicobar ridge. The zonal phase speed decreases away from the equator, and the magnitude varies longitudinally in each season in the form of a wave-like pattern propagating westward from autumn to summer;the life cycle of the wave is almost 365 days (a year). The theoretical phase speed of the first mode of the baroclinic Rossby waves is quite similar to that of averaged zonal speed. 为了提高铁路货运量预测的准确性,减少类似新冠疫情这样突发事件对现有预测结果的不稳定影响,提出一种基于EMD和APSO优化的SVR组合预测模型。在综合考虑铁路货运量受GDP、铁路营业里程、原煤产量、钢材产量、第二产业增加值以及新冠疫情等因素情况下,对选取的货运量序列进行EMD处理,得到不同时间尺度下的IMF和残差;通过APSO优化SVR模型的参数,并利用优化后的组合模型对各IMF分量分别进行预测,相加得到最终结果。将APSO-SVR模型与EMDAPSO-SVR模型的预测状况进行对比,结果表明,本文建立的EMD-APSO-SVR模型的预测结果误差更小,其预测值与真实值的测定系数高于APSO-SVR模型;前者的平均绝对百分比误差仅有0.22%,能有效提升铁路货运量短期内的预测精度。

Mapping Multi-factor-mediated Chromatin Interactions to Assess Dysregulation of Lung Cancer-related Genes

Studies on the lung cancer genome are indispensable for developing a cure for lung ***-genome resequencing,genome-wide association studies,and transcriptome sequencing have greatly improved our understanding of the cancer ***,dysregulation of longrange chromatin interactions in lung cancer remains poorly *** better understand the three-dimensional(3D)genomic interaction features of the lung cancer genome,we used the A549 cell line as a model system and generated high-resolution chromatin interactions associated with RNA polymerase II(RNAPII),CCCTC-binding factor(CTCF),enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2),and histone 3 lysine 27 trimethylation(H3K27me3)using long-read chromatin interaction analysis by paired-end tag sequencing(ChIA-PET).Analysis showed that EZH2/H3K27me3-mediated interactions further repressed target genes,either through loops or domains,and their distributions along the genome were distinct from and complementary to those associated with ***-related genes were highly enriched with chromatin interactions,and chromatin interactions specific to the A549 cell line were associated with oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes,such as additional repressive interactions on FOXO4 and promoter–promoter interactions between NF1 and *** of an anchor associated with chromatin interactions reversed the dysregulation of cancer-related genes,suggesting that chromatin interactions are essential for proper expression of lung cancer-related *** findings demonstrate the 3D landscape and gene regulatory relationships of the lung cancer genome.

A low power, eco-friendly multipurpose thermoelectric refrigerator

There has been an immense endeavor to mitigate global warming in spite of which it has only been worse. This paper presents the design and imple- mentation of a low power and eco-friendly refrigeration system using the thermoelectric effect. The conventional refrigerators make use of complex mechanisms which involves synchronous operation of various units, namely the compressor, condensers, expansion valves, evaporator, refi＇igerant and so on. But a thermoelectric refrigerator exploits the principle of the Peltier effect, thus avoiding the utilization of these complex components. This even helps curb the release of harmful chlorofluorocarbons （CFCs） into the atmosphere which contributes to the increase in global temperature. Moreover, the temperature can be controlled and set to required values with the help of a microcontroller. Hence, this can be used both for domestic and commercial purposes. The unit does not eject any harmful gases. Therefore, the heat expelled from the unit can be tapped for heating utilities, making the use of this device versatile in its application. Thus this proposal aims not only at reducing the air pollutants by not contributing to it but also at reducing the power consumption.

超声处理对乳清蛋白致敏性及结构的影响

通过不同超声时间对乳清分离蛋白进行处理,研究超声对乳清蛋白致敏性及结构的影响。在相同超声功率和间歇比条件下,进行不同时间的超声处理,通过间接竞争酶联免疫吸附法测定过敏原结合能力,采用紫外光谱、傅里叶红外光谱、荧光光谱研究乳清蛋白的空间结构及表面疏水性变化,并通过扫描电镜分析乳清蛋白微观结构分析。结果表明,超声处理后乳清蛋白致敏性有明显下降,超声处理10 min时致敏性最低,随着超声时间的延长,蛋白结构舒展,紫外吸收强度和内源荧光强度增加,表面疏水性增强,α-螺旋和无规则卷曲含量增加,游离巯基含量增加,二硫键含量降低。超声处理对乳清蛋白空间结构的改变可能是造成致敏性降低的主要原因,在乳清蛋白降敏研究方面具有理论研究价值。

Effect of normal and strict anaerobic fermentation on physicochemical quality and metabolomics of yogurt

Generally,yogurts on the market are usually anaerobic fermentation,but oxygen can be still dissolved in the production process,which is actually not strict *** study explored the multiple quality indicators and the metabolomic analysis of yogurts fermented by Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus using two fermentation methods,namely,strict anaerobic and normal *** changes in flavor substances in yogurts,including 17 free amino acids,17 fatty acids,and 7 response value,were detected using principal component and multi factor *** on the results of the comparisons between basic physical and chemical indicators,strict anaerobic fermentation increased the growth and acidification of the two bacteria,the response value of sourness,umami and *** anaerobic fermentation increased the free amino acid(Fold change=1.53)and short chain fatty acid levels(Fold change=1.73),and reduced the polyunsaturated fatty acid(Fold change=0.51)***,metabolomic analysis based on UPLC-Triple TOF-MS/MS showed that 92 differential metabolites were screened;45 differential metabolites were increased and 47 were *** results revealed that strict anaerobic fermentation was beneficial to metabolic changes and nutritional indicators of yogurt,which may be as indicators of valuable reference to improve dairy fermentation process.

Implementation of a Hybrid Triple-Data Encryption Standard and Blowfish Algorithms for Enhancing Image Security in Cloud Environment

In recent years, technological advancements have provided the world with cloud computing which can transfer, store, and process huge data chunks in the form of video, audio, images, and text efficiently. In spite of the universal hype on the subject across the information technology world, protecting sensitive data stored in the cloud server is one of the crucial problems. The large volume and sophistication of cyberattacks conclude to the fact that private pictures need exceptional care than other forms of data on the cloud. Since the user who has stored their private pictures in the cloud has no control over the privacy protection of data, the cloud vendors have to assure a greater level of security in terms of authentication and prevention from cyberattacks. Image encryption algorithms secure visual data by transmuting pictures into an unintelligible form to preserve the confidentiality of pictures over reliable unrestricted social media. This work aims to develop a method for enhancing the security of user photographs on a cloud platform by means of cryptography algorithms. The proposed hybrid technique presents the idea of protecting images in two straightforward steps. First, we generate a chipper text (i.e., secret key) using Triple Data Encryption Standard (TDES) by giving a plaintext and a key as input. Then, the cipher text obtained from TDES is given to the Blowfish algorithm for encrypting the user images. The encrypted image is then uploaded to the database of the cloud server and can be retrieved whenever the user requests it. Both image encryption and decryption processes are analyzed and evaluated based on performance metrics such as cloud storage time, encryption time, decryption time, and encryption throughput. A comparative study with conventional image encryption methods will demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of our proposed method.
