structural,optical and magnetic properties are reported for new synthesized perovskite ***_(0.3)La_(0.7)Ti_(0.3)Fe_(0.7)O_(3) and Ba_(0.1)La_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)O_(3) compositions were prepared via solid state reaction.X-ray analysis confirms that both compositions show feature of perovskite *** refinement method was used to confirm the phase formation and investigate the structure and space *** study demonstrates the formation of orthorhombic structure with Pnma space group for Ba_(0.3)La_(0.7)Ti_(0.3)Fe_(0.7)O_(3) while the composition Ba_(0.1)La_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)O_(3) structure adopts Pbnm ***–vis spectroscopy measurements show very broad and intense UV–visible light absorption,the estimated band gap ranges between 2.07 and 2.15 *** measurements were carried out for the compositions Ba_(0.3)La_(0.7)Ti_(0.3)Fe_(0.7)O_(3) and Ba_(0.1)La_(0.9)Ti_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)O_(3).The hysteresis loops of both samples at 300 and 10 K show a strong ferromagnetic *** temperature dependent magnetization at 0.05 T under field-cooled(FC)and zero field cooled(ZFC)modes shows magnetic frustration or spin glass-like behavior.

Background:This study is a component of a large research project on five major neglected zoonotic diseases(NZDs)including cystic echinococcosis and was undertaken in the Province of sidi Kacem over a period of four years(April 2009-March 2013).Methods:Questionnaires were administered at community level in a total of 27 communes and visits were made to all of the 10 abattoirs situated in the Province,to collect qualitative data on determinants of transmission for disease in humans and *** specifically,community knowledge,attitudes and practices related to cystic echinococcosis were assessed,as well as the extent to which local customs and behaviours may promote *** infrastructure and practices,and their role in perpetuating disease transmission were also critically ***:The results show that only 50%of people have heard of the disease,and of those,only 21%are aware of the dog’s role in disease ***-seven per cent of respondents stated that dogs are fed ruminant organs deemed unfit for human *** dogs have access to the family home,including the kitchen,in 39%of *** extent of this close proximity between humans and animals is even more pertinent when one considers that dogs are omnipresent in the community,with an average of 1.8 dogs owned per *** unrestricted access of dogs to abattoirs is a huge issue,which further promotes disease ***:This study would suggest that the high prevalence of cystic echinococcosis in humans and animals in Morocco is largely due to three factors:1)abundance of dogs 2)engagement in risky behaviour of the local population and 3)poor abattoir infrastructure and *** has serious implications in terms of the socio-economic impact of the disease,especially for rural poor communities.

Measurement of Anomalous Radon Gas Emanation Across the Yammouneh Fault in southern Lebanon: A Possible Approach to Earthquake Prediction

The eastern Mediterranean region is an active tectonic setting that includes the Dead sea Transform Fault, which forms the boundary between the African and the Arabian Plates and crosses Lebanon from south to north, striking in a restraining bend around 25–30°NE. The major structural feature in Lebanon is the Yammouneh Fault, which reaches to syria and southern Turkey in a north–south direction. Measurements of radon gas concentration and exhalation rates in two locations along the southern segment of the Yammouneh Fault in south Lebanon were performed. Two profiles in the el-Khiam basin and Blat pull-apart basin and perpendicular to the Yammouneh Fault trace were analyzed. An approximate fault width 25–30 m wide was determined in the el-Khiam study area. Temporal increase of radon concentration was measured and correlated with stress/strain tectonic activity and stress drops along the studied fault segment *** variable radon concentrations were detected during one of the measurements where an earthquake occurred in the region of Tiberias Lake in northern Palestine along the Yammouneh Fault in the study area. Measurements of radon concentration along a station’s profile in Blat village did not show any radon anomalous variation due to the discontinuity along the fault(pull-apart), and possible absence of stress and energy accumulation along the Yammouneh Fault line in that location.

The effect of chitosan incorporated into feed formulation on the growth, feed utilization, body composition and histological response of sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) was investigated. Final fish weight, feed conversion ratio (FCR), specific growth rate (sGR), protein efficiency ratio (PER), protein productive value (PPV), and energy utilization (EU) of sea bass feed chitosan supplemented diet and the control diet were determined at the end of experiment. Data presents mean ± sD from triplicate determination (n = 3) for 75 days feeding trial. Different concentrations (0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 & 4.0) and control without chitosan incorporated with total fish feed in the form of dry diets were fed for 75 days. Average final weight (FW) was significantly higher at diet 3 (1 g?kg?1 chitosan) and the lowest in control fish group, specific growth rate (sGR) was significant at diet 3. Also, protein efficiency ratio (PER), protein productive value (PPV), and energy utilization (EU) showed the same trend. The chemical body composition, crude protein, dry matter, crude fat and ash were significant (P ≤ 0.01) different compared to control groups. The present investigation suggested that the chitosan incorporated into diets of sea bass fish certainly enhanced the non specific responses and reduced mortality and also improved the growth performance of fish.

In PV （photovoltaic） power systems, a MPPT （maximum power point tracking） algorithm is vital in increasing their efficiency. But it is also vital to take into account the non ideal conditions resulting from complex physical environments in such PV power systems. To minimize the degradation of performances caused by these conditions, and therefore adding reliability and robustness, this paper presents an implementation of a digitally controlled system using a topology based on series connected DC-DC buck converters for a stand-alone PV power system applications, operating with local and autonomous controls, to track the maximum power points of PV modules in non ideal conditions. simulations are carried out by using C-MEX s-functions under MATLAB-sIMULINK environment. A PV system of 1.44 kWc is described and simulation results are presented.

Liver fibrosis recognition is an important issue in diagnostic imaging. The accurate estimation of liver fibrosis stages is important to establish prognosis and to guide appropriate treatment decisions. Liver biopsy has been for many years the reference procedure to assess histological definition for liver diseases. But biopsy measurement is an invasive method besides it takes large time. so, fast and improved methods are needed. Using elastography technology, a correlation technique can be used to calculate the displacement of liver tissue after it has suffered a compression force. This displacement is related to tissue stiffness, and liver fibrosis can be classified into stages according to that displacement. The value of compression force affects the displacement of tissue and so affects the results of the liver fibrosis diagnosing. By using finite element method, liver fibrosis can be recognized directly within a short time. The proposed work succeeded in recognizing liver fibrosis by a percent reached in average to 86.67% on a simulation environment.

The present study was undertaken to prepare instant porridge from some useful and available ingredients such as bulgur powder, potato, tomato, carrot, mung bean (unsoaked, soaked and germinated), then seasoned with onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, cumin and coriander to make B1, B2 and B3 formulas. Chemical, physical properties, amino acids and sensory evaluation of instant porridge formulas were determined. Background: Oxidative stress has been closely linked to the incidence of diabetic complications. Therefore, the aim of this research article was to study hyperglycemia and abnormal lipid profile in diabetic patient type 2 and its correlation with oxidative stress development as measured by 8-iso-PGF2α and 8-OHdG. Methods: Fifty (50) patients confirmed type 2 diabetes mellitus and eighty (80) non-diabetic control individuals were included in this study. All individuals were tested for blood glucose, lipid profile, 8-iso-PGF2α and 8-OHdG HdG. Results: The age of diabetic patients was observed to be ≥40 yrs in 96% and diabetes was frequently detected in female than in male patients (76% vs. 24%, p ere elevated in diabetic patients compared with control individuals (p significant decrease was recorded (p = 0.04). serum 8-iso-PGF2α and 8-OHdG were elevated significantly in diabetic patients compared with non-diabetic control and a significant correlation was recorded between them (r = 0.6, p α was associated with Age (r = 0.394, p so, 8-OHdG was associated with age (r = 0.558, p showed a significant linear regression with 8-iso-PGF2α and 8-OHdG recording its role as significant predictors for the elevation of 8-iso-PGF2α and 8-OHdG. Therefore, hyperglycemia with oxidative stress development may play a role for dyslipidemia and diabetic complications. Conclusion: Diabetic patient’s type 2 has a higher rate of abnormal serum lipids and correlates significantly with lipid peroxidation and oxidized DNA bases as measured by 8-iso-PGF2α and 8-OHdG. Therefore, 8-iso-PGF2α and 8-OHdG could be used as oxidative biomarkers for evaluating diabetic patients with early prediction

The electronic and optical properties of Tis2 are studied of density functional theory. A linearized and augmented by using an ab-initio calculation within the frame plane wave basis set with the generalized gradient approximation as proposed by Perdew et al. is used for the energy exchange-correlation determination. The results show a metallic character of Tis2, and the plots of total and partial densities of states of Tis2 show the metallic character of the bonds and a strong hybridization between the states d of Ti and p of s below the Fermi energy. The optical properties of the material such as real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant （ε（w） = ε1（w）＋ iε2（w））, refractive index n（w）, optical reflectivity R（w）, for E / /x and E / /z are performed for the energy range of 0-.14 eV.
