There are an increasing number of Narrow Band IoT devices being manufactured as the technology behind them develops *** high co‐channel interference and signal attenuation seen in edge Narrow Band IoT devices make it challenging to guarantee the service quality of these *** maximise the data rate fairness of Narrow Band IoT devices,a multi‐dimensional indoor localisation model is devised,consisting of transmission power,data scheduling,and time slot scheduling,based on a network model that employs non‐orthogonal multiple access via a *** on this network model,the optimisation goal of Narrow Band IoT device data rate ratio fairness is first established by the authors,while taking into account the Narrow Band IoT network:The multidimensional indoor localisation optimisation model of equipment tends to minimize data rate,energy constraints and EH relay energy and data buffer constraints,data scheduling and time slot *** a result,each Narrow Band IoT device's data rate needs are met while the network's overall performance is *** investigate the model's potential for convex optimisation and offer an algorithm for optimising the distribution of multiple resources using the KKT *** current work primarily considers the NOMA Narrow Band IoT network under a single EH ***,the growth of Narrow Band IoT devices also leads to a rise in co‐channel interference,which impacts NOMA's performance *** simulation,the proposed approach is successfully *** improvements have boosted the network's energy efficiency by 44.1%,data rate proportional fairness by 11.9%,and spectrum efficiency by 55.4%.

Impact of metal polluted sewage water on soil nematode assemblages in agricultural settings of Aligarh,India

Sewage water in agriculture threatens human health and soil ecosystems through metal *** show promise as bioindicators of soil health due to their abundance and position in soil food ***-polluted water decreased abundance of certain nematode groups and Sigma Maturity *** pollution positively affected nematode groups with r-selected life *** water has been inappropriately used in agriculture,posing possible threats to human health and the soil ecosystems by its constituent pollutants,especially heavy *** evaluation of its influences on soil biomes needs to consider the response of soil *** soil organisms,nematodes are seen as the best promising candidates for bioindicators of soil *** in,we collected soil samples from fresh water irrigated field from three sites(S1,S2 and S3)and sewage water irrigated distance gradient(5 m-40 m),to assess the influence of metal(Cu,Zn,Cd,Mn,Pb)polluted water on various characteristics of nematode *** results indicated that the heavy metals decreased the abundance of C-p3 nematodes,herbivores,and predatory nematodes as well as sigma maturity index,whereas,C-p1,C-p2,bacterivore and fungivore nematodes abundance and diversity positively responded to the metal ***,nematode genera with r-selected life cycle were positively affected and those with K-selected life cycle were negatively affected by metal *** nematode community has potential to be used as indicator of pollution stress in agricultural soils to check soil health and sustainability.

Predictive factors for early aspiration in liver abscess

AIM: To determine the predictive factors for early aspiration in liver abscess. METHODS: A retrospective analysis of all patients with liver abscess from 1995 to 2004 was performed. Abscess was diagnosed as amebic in 661 (68%) patients, pyogenic in 200 (21%), indeterminate in 73 (8%) and mixed in 32 (3%). Multiple logistic regression analysis was performed to determine predictive factors for aspiration of liver abscess. RESULTS: A total of 966 patients, 738 (76%) male, mean age 43 ± 17 years, were evaluated: 540 patients responded to medical therapy while adjunctive percutaneous aspiration was performed in 426 patients. Predictive factors for aspiration of liver abscess were: age ≥ 55 years, size of abscess ≥ 5 cm, involvement of both lobes of the liver and duration of symptoms ≥ 7 d. Hospital stay in the aspiration group was relatively longer than in the non aspiration group. Twelve patients died in the aspiration group and this mortality was not statistically significant when compared to the non aspiration group. CONCLUSION: Patients with advanced age, abscess size > 5 cm, both lobes of the liver involvement and duration of symptoms > 7 d were likely to undergo aspiration of the liver abscess, regardless of etiology.

Rationale:Acute iron poisoning is commonly seen in a pediatric population caused by accidental ingestion of iron *** describe a case of iron poisoning who presented to the hospital following intentional near-fatal ingestion of ferrous ***’s Concern:A 14-years-old previously healthy female patient presented to the emergency department with a history of an intentional overdose of 80 ferrous sulfate ***:Ferrous sulfate ***:The patient developed acute fulminant liver failure 24 h after of the *** was managed conservatively,mainly with deferoxamine and N-acetylcysteine while awaiting transfer to a liver transplant ***:The patient responded well to medical therapy and was discharged on the 9th day of intensive care unit ***:This case highlights the patient’s successful recovery with prompt conservative *** iron toxicity can be treated with early use of deferoxamine and N-acetylcysteine where a liver transplant facility is not available.
