Objective YAP1 plays a dual role as an oncogene and tumor suppressor gene in several tumors;differentiating between these roles may depend on the YAP1 phosphorylation *** specific function of YAP1 in B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B-ALL),however,is currently ***,in the present study,the role of YAP1 in B-ALL was investigated using relevant cell lines and patient *** The effects of shRNA-mediated knockdown on YAP1 and LATS1 levels in the NALM6 and MOLT-4 cell lines were examined using Western blotting,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction,flow cytometry,immunostaining,and nude mouse subcutaneous tumorigenesis *** expression levels of Hippo pathway-related molecules before and after verteporfin(VP)treatment were compared using RNA-Seq to identify significant Hippo pathway-related genes in NALM6 *** Patients with ALL showing high YAP1 expression and low YAP1-Ser127 phosphorylation levels had worse prognoses than those with low YAP1 protein expression and high YAP1-Ser127 phosphorylation ***1-Ser127 phosphorylation levels were lower in NALM6 cells than in MOLT-4 and control cells;YAP1 was distributed in the nuclei in NALM6 *** of YAP1 inhibited MOLT-4 and NALM6 cell proliferation and arrested the NALM6 cell cycle in the G0/G1 *** and after VP treatment,the expression of the upstream gene LATS1 was upregulated;its overexpression promoted YAP1-Ser127 ***,YAP1 was distributed in the *** LATS1 may downregulate YAP1-Ser127 phosphorylation and maintain B-ALL cell function;thus,VP,which targets this axis,may serve as a new therapeutic method for improving the outcomes for B-ALL patients.

Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is often diagnosed long after symptoms have become *** delay can make it difficult to provide early intervention,which can impact long-term *** concept of"pre-autism"highlights the phase before a formal diagnosis of ASD,providing an opportunity for earlier identification and intervention,which could be a turning point in ASD *** a previous article,we explored different ways of diagnosing pre-autism,including historical records,physical markers,laboratory tests,and radiological *** manuscript builds on that foundation by emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and intervention in *** research advancements have clarified that ASD presentations can be complex,and individualized support strategies are *** significance of pre-autism lies in its potential to alter the trajectory of ASD through early detection and intervention despite challenges such as limited awareness and variability in symptom *** and diagnostic tools have shown promise as avenues for early detection,but it is essential to exercise caution and not rely too heavily on yet-tobe-established *** these challenges requires a collaborative effort to increase awareness,improve access to diagnostic tools,and foster inclusive ***,this manuscript calls for ongoing research,advocacy,and resource allocation to enhance early detection and intervention efforts,ensuring optimal outcomes for individuals on the autism spectrum.

The mobility and connective capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)are becoming more and more important in defense,commercial,and research ***,their open communication makes UAVs susceptible toundesirablepassive attacks suchas eavesdroppingor ***,the inefficiencyof traditional cryptography-based techniques has led to the addition of Physical Layer Security(PLS).This study focuses on the advanced PLS method for passive eavesdropping in UAV-aided vehicular environments,proposing a solution to complement the conventional cryptography ***,we present a performance analysis of first-order secrecy metrics in 6G-enabled UAV systems,namely hybrid outage probability(HOP)and secrecy outage probability(SOP)over 2×2 Nakagami-m ***,we propose a novel technique for mitigating passive eavesdropping,which considers first-order secrecy metrics as an optimization problem and determines their lower and upper ***,we conduct an analysis of bounded HOP and SOP using the interactive Nakagami-m channel,considering the multiple-input-multiple-output configuration of the UAV *** findings indicate that 2×2 Nakagami-mis a suitable fadingmodel under constant velocity for trustworthy receivers and *** results indicate that UAV mobility has some influence on an eavesdropper’s intrusion during line-of-sight-enabled communication and can play an important role in improving security against passive eavesdroppers.

Static Poisson’s ratio(vs)is crucial for determining geomechanical properties in petroleum applications,namely sand *** models have been used to predict vs;however,the published models were limited to specific data ranges with an average absolute percentage relative error(AAPRE)of more than 10%.The published gated recurrent unit(GRU)models do not consider trend analysis to show physical *** this study,we aim to develop a GRU model using trend analysis and three inputs for predicting n s based on a broad range of data,n s(value of 0.1627-0.4492),bulk formation density(RHOB)(0.315-2.994 g/mL),compressional time(DTc)(44.43-186.9 μs/ft),and shear time(DTs)(72.9-341.2μ s/ft).The GRU model was evaluated using different approaches,including statistical error *** GRU model showed the proper trends,and the model data ranges were wider than previous *** GRU model has the largest correlation coefficient(R)of 0.967 and the lowest AAPRE,average percent relative error(APRE),root mean square error(RMSE),and standard deviation(SD)of 3.228%,1.054%,4.389,and 0.013,respectively,compared to other *** GRU model has a high accuracy for the different datasets:training,validation,testing,and the whole datasets with R and AAPRE values were 0.981 and 2.601%,0.966 and 3.274%,0.967 and 3.228%,and 0.977 and 2.861%,*** group error analyses of all inputs show that the GRU model has less than 5% AAPRE for all input ranges,which is superior to other models that have different AAPRE values of more than 10% at various ranges of inputs.

Silicon quantum dots-based fluorescent sensor for the detection of cobalt with high sensitivity and selectivity

Fluorescent silicon quantum dots(Si QDs)were hydrothermally synthesized from a mixture of 3(2-aminoethylamino)propyl(dimethoxymethylsilane)(AEAPDMMS)and poly(vinylpyrrolidine)(PVP).The resulting Si QDs exhibited good water solubility and high *** the optimized conditions,the probe revealed an excellent linear fluorescence quenching effect on Co2+ranging from 1μmol/L to 120μmol/L with a limit of detection of 0.37μmol/L(based on 3 s/k).The quenching mechanism was studied,showing that static quenching(SQE)causes the main ***,the test paper based on Si QDs was prepared,which is cost-effective,high sensitivity,good selectivity,easy to use and show excellent anti-interference *** method was applied to analyze the content of Co2+in environmental water samples with satisfying results.

The thiolliericrinids(Thiolliericrinidae) are comatulids(Comatulida),which retained their stalks as ***,we report a centrodorsal from the Bajocian strata(Middle Jurassic) of the Djebel Kérdacha area,northwestern Algeria(Africa).It is the first thiolliericrinid report from outside of Europe and also the oldest representative of the Thiolliericrinidae whose first occurrence is from the *** crinoid is assigned to Copernicrinus zamorae *** *** reported new taxon shows strong similarities with the stemless ‘true’comatulids,Solanocrinites;the only difference is the presence of a facet to the stem in *** closest comparable thiolliericrinid to Copernicrinus is the Oxfordian Thiolliericrinus,interpreted as a descendant of the *** origin and overview of all thiolliericrinid representatives are also discussed herein.

由于脑肿瘤的大小和形状呈不规则状态,从三维磁共振图像中自动分割脑肿瘤是一项具有挑战性的任务.而目前的方法存在两个问题:基于3D建模的方法参数量较大难以训练而且全局或远距离上、下文信息的关联性不足;模型忽略局部区域细节特征使得分割结果边界模糊.为解决上述问题,本文提出了循环分层解耦卷积和最大滤波(recurrent hierarchical-decoupled convolution and maximum filtering,RHMF)的轻量网络实现三维脑肿瘤图像分割.该网络在特征提取阶段提出循环分层解耦卷积取代标准卷积,减少参数利用多时域的反馈信息建立全局上、下文信息关联.引入改进的多尺度策略对不同尺度下的多层次特征进行提取融合,提高网络的目标识别能力.在定位阶段做局部域细节处理,提出了最大滤波模块激活目标区域像素实现特征图的像素级定位,增强目标区域像素与其他区域像素的区别,进一步细化分割,解决边界模糊问题.在BraTS2020数据集上的实验结果表明,RHMF-Net在增强肿瘤区、整体肿瘤区和核心肿瘤区的平均Dice系数值分别为77.23%、90.01%和83.10%,参数量为0.42×106.

Intelligent traffic control requires accurate estimation of the road states and incorporation of adaptive or dynamically adjusted intelligent algorithms for making the *** this article,these issues are handled by proposing a novel framework for traffic control using vehicular communications and Internet of Things *** framework integrates Kalman filtering and *** smoothing Kalman filtering,our data fusion Kalman filter incorporates a process-aware model which makes it superior in terms of the prediction *** traditional Q-learning,our Q-learning algorithm enables adaptive state quantization by changing the threshold of separating low traffic from high traffic on the road according to the maximum number of vehicles in the junction *** evaluation,the model has been simulated on a single intersection consisting of four roads:east,west,north,and south.A comparison of the developed adaptive quantized Q-learning(AQQL)framework with state-of-the-art and greedy approaches shows the superiority of AQQL with an improvement percentage in terms of the released number of vehicles of AQQL is 5%over the greedy approach and 340%over the state-of-the-art ***,AQQL provides an effective traffic control that can be applied in today’s intelligent traffic system.

Retrieval of Thin-Ice Thickness(TIT)using thermodynamic modeling is sensitive to the parameterization of the independent variables(coded in the model)and the uncertainty of the measured input *** article examines the deviation of the classical model’s TIT output when using different parameterization schemes and the sensitivity of the output to the ice ***,it estimates the uncertainty of the output in response to the uncertainties of the input *** parameterized independent variables include atmospheric longwave emissivity,air density,specific heat of air,latent heat of ice,conductivity of ice,snow depth,and snow *** input parameters include air temperature,ice surface temperature,and wind *** the independent variables,the results show that the highest deviation is caused by adjusting the parameterization of snow conductivity and depth,followed ice *** sensitivity of the output TIT to ice thickness is highest when using parameterization of ice conductivity,atmospheric emissivity,and snow conductivity and *** retrieved TIT obtained using each parameterization scheme is validated using in situ measurements and satellite-retrieved *** in situ measurements,the uncertainties of the measured air temperature and surface temperature are found to be *** resulting uncertainties of TIT are evaluated using perturbations of the input data selected based on the probability distribution of the measurement *** results show that the overall uncertainty of TIT to air temperature,surface temperature,and wind speed uncertainty is around 0.09 m,0.049 m,and−0.005 m,respectively.

Photographs and Cartoons: Differences in Interpretation of the Visual Semiotics

This study looks at the interaction between the process of intersemiosis and resemiosis in multimodality. The importance of both phases is widely acknowledged as part of the meaning making process but many practical studies focus on the first rather than the second. In particular this study looks at two groups of images about gender relations in Saudi Arabia following the post-2017 reforms of the male guardianship laws. One group are mostly made up of photographs and the second group of cartoons and posters. One important finding is that the latter tend to be less ambiguous in their semiotic structure than the former. In particular, there are instances in the first group where a standard study of intersemiosis indicates low modality but the image may be seen as inherently plausible by many observers. This suggests that while resemiosis can be applied to a single image it may be more appropriate as a tool when applied to an overall news article or set of images. In the same way that not all individual semiotic modes are complementary in how they build meaning, then it is possible for different images to be supportive, contradictory or unclear when studied in isolation.
