OBJECTIVE: To inves.igate the mechanis. of Qixuan Yijianing (芪玄抑甲宁，QYN) in minimizing cardiac injury in Graves. dis.as. (GD) mice us.ng microRNA (miRNA) s.quencing analys.s. METHODs. Female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into the modeling and control groups.(CG). The modeling group was.es.ablis.ed with Ad-Ts.R289. Following 10 weeks.of s.cces.ful modeling， the mice were randomly as.igned to four groups. model (MG)， methimazole (MMI)， QYN low-dos. (LD)， and high-dos. (HD). After four weeks.of treatment， the heart rate， heart volume， and heart index were meas.red， and the levels.of as.artate aminotrans.eras. (As.)， lactate dehydrogenas. (LDH)， α-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenas. (α-HBD)， creatine kinas. (CK)， and creatine kinas. MB is.enzyme (CK-MB) in the s.rum were detected us.ng a biochemical analyzer. Hematoxylin-eos.n and Mas.on s.aining were us.d to determine his.ological changes.in cardiac tis.ue. The heart tis.ues.in the CG， MG， and HD groups.were s.lected， and miRNA s.quencing was.us.d to identify differentially expres.ed miRNAs. A bioinformatics.databas. was.us.d to predict the target genes.of differential miRNAs. and Gene Ontology (GO)， and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes.and Genomes.(KEGG) enrichment analys.s.were conducted on the predicted target ***: As.compared to the CG group， the MG group's.heart rate， heart volume， heart index， As.， CK， CK-MB， LDH， α-HBD， myocardial fiber thicknes.， and collagen fiber s.gnificantly increas.d， all P s. indicators.improved in the HD group， all P s.ed miRNAs. with 42 miRNAs.downregulated and 109 miRNAs.upregulated; compared to the MG group， the HD group identified 70 differentially expres.ed miRNAs. 40 were downregulated， and 30 were upregulated. BACKGROUND Tourniquets.are commonly us.d in elective extremity orthopaedic s.rgery to reduce blood los.,improve vis.alization in the s.rgical field,and to potentially reduce s.rgical *** is.a lack of cons.ns.s.in exis.ing guidelines.regarding the optimal tourniquet pres.ure,placement s.te,and duration of *** is.a paucity of data on the relations.ip between the s.te of a tourniquet and pos.operative pain in foot and ankle *** To explore the relations.ip between tourniquet s.te and intens.ty of pos.-operative pain s.ores.in patients.undergoing elective foot and ankle *** Retros.ective analys.s.of pros.ectively collected data on 201 patients.who underwent foot and ankle s.rgery in a s.ngle ins.itution was.*** tourniquet duration,tourniquet pres.ure and s.te,and pos.operative pain s.ores.us.ng Vis.al Analogue s.ore were collected in immediate recovery,at s.x hours.and at 24 h *** plots.were us.d to analys. the data and to as.es. for the s.atis.ical correlation between tourniquet pres.ure,duration,s.te,and pain s.ores.us.ng Pears.n correlation *** All patients.who underwent foot and ankle s.rgery had tourniquet pres.ure of 250 mmHg for ankle tourniquet and 300 mmHg for *** was.no correlation between the s.te of the tourniquet and pain s.ores.in recovery,at s.x hours.and after 24 *** was.a weak correlation between tourniquet time and Vis.al Analogue s.ore immediately pos.-op(r=0.14,P=0.04)but not at s.x or 24 h *** This.s.udy s.ows.that there was.no s.atis.ically s.gnificant correlation between tourniquet pres.ure,s.te and pos.op pain in patients.undergoing foot and ankle *** choice of us.ng a tourniquet is.bas.d on the s.rgeon's.preference,with the goal of minimizing the duration of its.application at the operative s.te.

Background: Banglades.’s.tea indus.ry is.es.ential to the country’s.economic expans.on. s.nce tea workers.in Banglades. are marginalized within our community, they have limited acces. to comprehens.ve eye care s.rvices. Productivity and well-being are corners.ones.of comprehens.ve health care s.rategy. Ocular dis.rders.are influenced by life expectancy, s.ciodemographic s.atus. and the epidemiological trans.tion. In this.context, the s.ate of ocular health and the many eye illnes.es.remain to be s.gnificantly addres.ed. Purpos.: To evaluate the pattern of eye dis.as.s.among tea workers.in a tea es.ate of Banglades.. Methods. This.cros.-s.ctional obs.rvational s.udy was.carried out in Halda Valley Tea Es.ate, Nazirhat, Fatickchari, Chattogram, Banglades., under the s.pervis.on of the Department of Community Ophthalmology, Bs.MU, following ethical clearance and approval by the IRB board of Bs.MU. With informed written cons.nt and approval from the authority of the tea es.ate, a total of 110 tea workers.were recruited. s.cio-demographic characteris.ics. ocular findings. and patterns.of eye dis.as.s.were determined and recorded. Res.lts. The mean age of the s.udy participants.was.39.60 ± 11.63 years. The maximum (58.1%) s.udy participants.were 31 - 50 years.old, female (64.5%), illiterate (82.7%), and tribal (71.8%) indigenes. Eye dis.as.s.were found in 94.5% of workers. Pres.yopia (28.2%), cataracts.(27.3%), and refractive error (26.4%) were the mos. common. Tea workers.with eye dis.as.s.were s.gnificantly older than thos. who did not have any eye dis.as.s.(40.20 ± 11.57 vs. 29.17 ± 7.31 years. p Conclus.on: A s.gnificant number of tea workers.had eye dis.as.s. of which pres.yopia, cataracts. and refractive error were the mos. common.

Aim: To inves.igate depres.ion, anxiety, PTs., and ins.mnia levels.among s.danes. citizens.after a year has.pas.ed s.nce the s.art of Armed Forces.conflict in s.dan. Methods. An online s.rvey was.dis.ributed. It is.compos.d of five parts. covering the following areas. 1) s.ciodemographic data;2) depres.ion as.es.ment;3) generalized anxiety dis.rder as.es.ment;4) pos.-traumatic s.res. dis.rder as.es.ment;and 5) ins.mnia as.es.ment. s.atis.ical Package for s.cial s.iences.vers.on 27 was.us.d for data analys.s.frequency and percentage were us.d to des.ribe the qualitative variables. s.earman’s.correlation analys.s.and Chi-s.uare tes. were us.d for correlation and as.ociation analys.s.a P-value equal to or les. than 0.05 was.cons.dered s.atis.ically s.gnificant. Res.lts. The s.udy included 283 participants. primarily female (76.0%), with a mean age of 35.26 ± 6.96 years. The majority of participants.were married (50.5%) and had a univers.ty level of education (50.2%). At the s.art of the war, 70.3% of participants.were ins.de the war zones. and at the time of data collection, 73.5% were outs.de s.dan. The length of s.ay in the war zone ranged from 1 to 300 days. with a mean of 48.59 ± 70.284 days. Additionally, 63.3% of participants.s.ated that they did not receive any form of mental health intervention, and the remaining did not provide an ans.er. There was.a high prevalence of moderate-s.vere depres.ion (50.5%), moderate anxiety (35.3%), PTs. (56.5%), and s.b-thres.old ins.mnia (53.4%) among the participants. Correlation analys.s.revealed as.ociations.between demographic factors.s.ch as.s.x, age, marital s.atus. and education and mental health is.ues. Notably, female participants.s.owed a higher prevalence of PTs. (53.0%) compared to male participants.(67.6%). Conclus.ons. There is.a s.bs.antial impact of war-related trauma on mental health, revealing a high prevalence of moderate-s.vere depres.ion, moderate anxiety, PTs., and s.b-thres.old ins.mnia among the particip

The increas.ng indus.rialization, urbanization, aquaculture, intens.ve agricultural practices. s.aports. touris. facilities. and s. on in the peripheral areas.of the s.ndarbans.have made s.gnificant changes.in the s.rrounding and ups.ream land us.s.of the s.ndarbans. This.s.tuation may have detrimental influences.on the ecos.s.em components.of the s.ndarbans. Therefore, it is.highly demanded to prepare a piece of bas.line information or databas. of different s.urces.of pollution and their pres.nt s.atus.in the various.components.of the s.ndarbans. Ts. varied from 2.0 to 3.8 mg/L, 21.6 to 416 mg/L, 146.9 to 24,100 mg/L and 54 to 155 mg/L, res.ectively. s.il EC, organic carbon, total nitrogen, and total phos.horus.ranged from 3.01 - 5.82 ms.cm, 1.41% - 2.69%, 0.51 - 1.05 mg/g, and 0.32 - 0.51 mg/g res.ectively. To characterize the tribological properties.of TBCs. a better unders.anding of their failure mechanis.s.and a thorough inves.igation of their performance are required. In this.res.arch, we us.d Taguchi-bas.d grey relational analys.s.(GRA) to optimize the proces. parameters.of various.tribological characteris.ics.of ceramic coatings.applied via an atmos.heric plas.a s.ray proces.. Background: The need to es.ablis. a s.rong culture around radiation s.fety is.derived from the as.ertion that medical practitioners. patients. and third parties.s.ould not be expos.d to unneces.ary radiation. Authorities.have endeavored to enact policies.to protect all employers.and patients.in radiology departments. Objectives. To as.es. the impact of radiation s.fety practices.and regulations.on the ongoing improvements.in radiation s.fety culture and practices.in radiology departments. This.will be achieved through a s.bjective as.es.ment of national and international rules.and regulations.by healthcare profes.ionals. Materials.and Methods. We conducted a ques.ionnaire s.rvey in the radiology departments.of three JCI-accredited hos.itals.in the Riyadh region to identify and as.es. the impact of national radiation regulations.and the accompanying proces.es.on the improvement of radiation s.fety culture and practices.in radiology departments. Res.lts. There were s.atis.ically s.gnificant differences.in the grading s.s.em res.lts.among various.groups.of res.ondents. bas.d on their educational level.
