Intro.uctio.: o.e o. the mo.t frequent o.servatio.s in lo.g-term blo.d do.atio. is chro.ic iro. deficiency, which can develo. into.anaemia. The majo.ity o. blo.d screening metho.s emplo.ed by blo.d banks do.no. inco.po.ate iro.-status markers, which may result in po.ential subclinical iro. deficiency. The aim o. this study was to.evaluate the effects o. repeated blo.d do.atio. o. the levels o. iro. in the bo.y and to.guide blo.d do.o.s in preventing the depletio. o. iro. sto.es. Metho.s: Regular blo.d do.o.s were catego.ised into.distinct gro.ps acco.ding to.the number o. do.atio.s they gave, and then the co.relatio. between these gro.ps and their bo.ies’ iro. levels was examined. Different parameters were emplo.ed to.identify iro. deficiency and iro. depletio. in blo.d do.o.s: serum ferritin, mean co.puscular vo.ume (MCV), mean co.puscular haemo.lo.in (MCH), mean co.puscular haemo.lo.in co.centratio. (MCHC), to.al iro.-binding capacity (TIBC), and serum iro.. Results: The study included 300 individuals who.regularly and willingly do.ated blo.d. There were no.iro. insufficiency cases amo.g tho.e do.ating blo.d fo. the first time (Gro.p I). Ho.ever, 15.5% o. individuals who.had do.ated o.ce befo.e (Gro.p II) had ferritin levels o. 15 - 30 μg/dl (ng/ml), indicating reduced iro. sto.es. The rate increased to.18% (37 o.t o. 206 individuals) amo.g regular blo.d do.o.s (Gro.ps III, IV, and V). Iro. deficiency (depletio.) prevalence amo.g regular blo.d do.o.s in Gro.ps III, IV, and V was 5.9% (12 o.t o. 206) and 50.4% (100 o.t o. 206). Do.o.s who.had do.ated blo.d mo.t frequently had the lo.est levels o. haemato.o.ical markers MCH, MCHC, and TIBC. Pro.ide the p-values representing the differences between the means o. MCV, MCH, iro., TIBC, and ferritin levels when co.paring do.o. gro.ps with the co.tro. gro.p (Gro.p I) based o. the frequency o. do.atio.s. Backgro.nd: Co.o.ary artery ectasia (CAE) is a rare fo.m o. aneurysmal co.o.ary heart disease. This co.ditio. increases risk o. ischemia that leaded to.stable angina pecto.is and also.acute co.o.ary syndro.e. o.jective: To.evaluate the incidence o. CAE and to.analyze clinical and angio.raphic characteristics amo.g patients with sympto.atic co.o.ary artery disease. Metho.s: Retro.pective trial o. diagno.tic co.o.ary angio.raphy which was perfo.med at Alshifa ho.pital in Gaza, included all patients with co.o.ary heart disease and underwent diagno.tic co.o.ary angio.raphy fro. March 2014 to.March 2023. We evaluate the incidence, clinical presentatio. and angio.raphic findings o. patients with sympto.atic co.o.ary ectasia. Results: o. the 12,534 angio.rams analyzed, CAE was fo.nd in 539 patients, an incidence o. 4.3%. The mean age was 59.2 ± 11.7 years, and male gender predo.inate 81.8%. A 285 (52.9%) o. patients fo.nd to.have single ectatic vessel at their angio.raphic results. In two.vessels 120 patients (22.3%), in three vessels 95 patients (17.6%) and in three vessel plus left main in 39 patients (7.2%). 70.9% angio.rams sho.ed pure ectasia witho.t asso.iated significant steno.ic lesio.s in the same vessel. The right co.o.ary artery (RCA) was the co.mo.est affected vessel by ectasia. The mo.t co.mo. presentatio. o. patients is no. ST segment elevatio. acute co.o.ary syndro.e. Co.clusio.: The incidence o. co.o.ary ectasia was 4.3%. No. ST segment elevatio. acute co.o.ary syndro.e was the mo.t co.mo. clinical presenting. o.ly 30% o. patients have additio.ally significant co.o.ary artery steno.is. The majo.ity o. patients had single vessel invo.vement and right co.o.ary artery was the mo.t co.mo. invo.ved vessel. Despite a dapper understanding o. CAE in last years, there are still co.e critical issues abo.t o.timal treatment. Large multicenter rando.ized co.tro. trials are reco.mended to.guide the clinician in the management o. this co.plex sitting o. patients.
