The rapid growth of digital data necessitates advanced natural language processing(NLP)models like BERT(Bidi-rectional Encoder Representations from Transformers),known for its superior performance in text ***,BERT’s size and computational demands limit its practicality,especially in resource-constrained *** research compresses the BERT base model for Bengali emotion classification through knowledge distillation(KD),pruning,and quantization *** Bengali being the sixth most spoken language globally,NLP research in this area is *** approach addresses this gap by creating an efficient BERT-based model for Bengali *** have explored 20 combinations for KD,quantization,and pruning,resulting in improved speedup,fewer parameters,and reduced memory *** best results demonstrate significant improvements in both speed and *** instance,in the case of mBERT,we achieved a 3.87×speedup and 4×compression ratio with a combination of Distil+Prune+Quant that reduced parameters from 178 to 46 m,while the memory size decreased from 711 to 178 *** results offer scalable solutions for NLP tasks in various languages and advance the field of model compression,making these models suitable for real-world applications in resource-limited environments.

This study was conducted to investigate the properties of Pr3+-Dy3+doped Zn2Y-type hexaferrite for potential technological applications.X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and field-emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEm） were used to analyze structural *** crystallite size in the synthesized samples varies between 57.54 and 68.57 *** vibrational bands at 400 and 600 cm-1,common to all hexaferrites,were confirmed through *** FESEm analysis reveals an agglomeration of magnetic grains and a decrease in the average grain size from 1.24 to1.06 μ*** m-H loops show that,with x values of 0.0,0.1,and 0.2,the saturation magnetization is determined to be 34.76,34.23,and 32.52 emu/g,*** corresponding coercivity values are21.24,30.39,and 33.99 ***-visible spectroscopy using Tauc theory reveals an increase in the optical band gap from 2.32 to 2.50 eV,indicating a tunable energy band structure by incorporating Pr3+-Dy3+*** dielectric constant increases,whereas AC conductivity decreases with increased Pr3+-Dy3+*** obtained results suggest the potential suitability of these materials for various technological applications.

Thymus serpyllum L.,often known as wild thyme,has been used since ancient times due to its multifaceted culinary and medicinal *** is usually utilized in folk medicine to manage different health *** work aimed to investigate the chemical composition and biological characteristics of *** essential oil(EO),including its antimicrobial,antioxidant,and anti-inflammatory ***,we have prompted an in-silico simulation to reveal the underlying mode of action of these *** chemical characterization of ***(EO)by Gas Chromatography-mass Spectrometry(GC-mS)indicated sabinene(17.33%),terpinen-4-ol(11.73%),phellandral(13.18%),and thymol(10.54%)as main *** antimicrobial screening utilized the disc-diffusion technique,mIC,and mBC *** disc-diffusion test’s results revealed significant anti-Candida activity and notable antibacterial *** mIC and mBC tests showed that *** EO effectively stops bacterial growth,including Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains and Candida *** tolerance level ratio demonstrated that this EO exhibits bactericidal and fungicidal effects on all tested bacteria and Candida ***,*** EO presented effective inhibitory activity against the 5-lipoxygenase(5-LOX)enzyme(IC50=744.19±0.1µg/mL)(pmise for diverse applications across pharmaceuticals,nutraceuticals,and the food ***,further research and collaboration between traditional knowledge and modern medicine are crucial to fully realizing its potential benefits in these fields.

The objective of this study is to propose an optimal plant design for blue hydrogen production aboard a liquefiednatural gas(LNG)*** investigation focuses on integrating two distinct processes—steam methanereforming(SmR)and ship-based carbon capture(SBCC).The first refers to the common practice used to obtainhydrogen from methane(often derived from natural gas),where steam reacts with methane to produce hydrogenand carbon dioxide(CO_(2)).The second refers to capturing the CO_(2) generated during the SmR process on *** capturing and storing the carbon emissions,the process significantly reduces its environmental impact,making the hydrogen production“blue,”as opposed to“grey”(which involves CO_(2) emissions without capture).For the SmR process,the analysis reveals that increasing the reformer temperature enhances both the processperformance and CO_(2) ***,a higher steam-to-carbon(s/c)ratio reduces hydrogen yield,therebydecreasing thermal *** study also shows that preheating the air and boil-off gas(BOG)before theyenter the combustion chamber boosts overall efficiency and curtails CO_(2) *** the SBCC process,puremonoethanolamine(mEA)is employed to capture the CO_(2) generated by the exhaust gases from the SmR *** results indicate that with a 90%CO_(2) capture rate,the associated heat consumption amounts to 4.6 mJ perkilogram of CO_(2) *** combined approach offers a viable pathway to produce blue hydrogen on LNGcarriers while significantly reducing the carbon footprint.

Inspired by molecular catalysts,researchers developed atomically precise nitrogen-coordinated single or dual metal sites imbedded in graphitized carbon（m-N-C） to fully utilize metallic sites for *** catalysts performed remarkably well in the electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction（ORR） due to their distinct coordination and electrical structures,Nonetheless,their maximum efficacy in practical applications has yet to be *** agenda identifies tailoring the coordination environment,spin states,intersite distance,and metal-metal interaction as innovative approaches to regulate the ORR performance of these ***,it is necessary to undertake a precise assessment of these methodologies and the knowledge obtained to be implemented in the design of future m-N-C catalysts for ***,this review aims to analyze recent progress in m-N-C ORR catalysts,emphasizing their innovative engineering with aspects such as alteration in intersite distance,metal-metal interaction,coordination environment,and spin ***,we critically discuss how to logically monitor the atomic structure,local coordination,spin,and electronic states of m-N-C catalysts to modulate their ORR *** have also highlighted the challenges associated with m-N-C catalysts and proposed suggestions for their future design and fabrication.

The level of ground shaking, as determined by the peak ground acceleration (PGA), can be used to analyze seismic hazard at a certain location and is crucial for constructing earthquake-resistant structures. Predicting the PGA immediately after an earthquake occurs allows for the issuing of a warning by an earthquake early warning system. In this study, we propose a deep learning model, Convmixer, to predict the PGA recorded by weak-motion velocity seismometers in Japan. We use 5-s three-component seismograms, from 2 s before until 3 s after the P-wave arrival time of the earthquake. Our dataset comprised more than 50,000 single-station waveforms recorded by 10 seismic stations in the K-NET, Kiki-NET, and Hi-Net networks between 2004 and 2023. The proposed Convmixer is a patch-based model that extracts global features from input seismic data and predicts the PGA of an earthquake by combining depth and pointwise convolutions. The proposed Convmixer network had a mean absolute error of 2.143 when applied to the test set and outperformed benchmark deep learning models. In addition, the proposed Convmixer demonstrated the ability to predict the PGA at the corresponding station site based on 1-second waveforms obtained immediately after the arrival time of the P-wave. © 2025 The Authors

串列双方柱的干扰效应受方柱气动外形的影响显著,方柱角部形状的变化将导致周边流场的改变,进而影响上、下游方柱的气动性能,串列双方柱的风荷载干扰效应相关影响及机理还有待进一步研究。本文采用基于空间平均的大涡模拟方法,以亚临界间距比和超临界间距比的串列方柱为对象,分别对上、下游方柱考虑有、无切角(切角率均为10%)两种情况,研究两类典型间距比下不同切角措施对串列方柱风荷载的影响及其机理。将标准串列方柱风压系数与风洞试验结果对比,验证本文模拟方法及参数设置的有效性;从气动力系数统计值及自谱、平均和脉动风压系数分布等角度,对比分析了两种典型间距比下不同切角措施对串列双方柱气动性能的影响,着重从时均和瞬态流场角度进行机理分析。结果表明,两种典型间距比下,不同位置的切角措施均会影响方柱周围流动分离,从而引起流态变化,其中上、下游方柱均采取切角措施,可以更有效地减弱方柱的平均和脉动风荷载。

Hydrogen (H2) production from renewable biomass resources plays a significant role in solving the shortage of fossil energy;hence, there is an interest in investigating alternative, cleaner processes. This work intends to study the photocatalytic production of hydrogen from D-(+)-Glucose by using different groups of catalysts that have been prepared (m2+ = Zn, mg and Ni) m2+/Ti4+ Al3+-LDHs (layered double hydroxides). It is then loaded Pd on the catalyst, and the effect of the composite catalyst, layered double hydroxides, is measured. After calcining, the catalyst for the conversion of Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs) to Layered Double Oxides (LDOs) is used to produce hydrogen gas from glucose. Photocatalytic reforming of glucose-derived compounds is an efficient method for the production of hydrogen. The purpose is to study the effect of metal ions on layered double oxide (LDO) materials by loading Pd and investigate hydrogen production from glucose. The metal cations in the layer were distributed through the preparation of the catalyst process by ion and atom scale between the layers, which were dispersed systematically, as well as the controlled component catalysis. This process shows that ZnTiAl-LDO had the best effect as a catalyst in producing hydrogen compared to NiTiAl-LDO and mgTiAl-LDO.
