Sah.ra Desert of *** m.y 2022,30 quadrats m.asuring 1 m.(2) each.were establish.d at th. base of Ph.enix dactylifera,Leucaena leucoceph.la,and Tam.rix aph.lla,corresponding to th. dom.nant tree species in each.of th.ee *** each.quadrat,th. plant quantitative inventory was conducted to m.asure plant diversity and sim.larity am.ng th. studied *** on th.s,we assessed th. plant functional traits and rarity/abundance status of th. *** findings revealed a diverse flora associated with.th. studied plantations,com.rising 29 plant species grouped into 27 genera and 12 ***,Poaceae(accounting for 30.8% of th. flora),Asteraceae(25.0%),and Zygoph.llaceae(21.6%)were *** an overall density of approxim.tely 555 individuals/m.(2),Zygoph.llum.album.120 individuals/m.(2))and Polypogon m.nspeliensis(87 individuals/m.(2))em.rged as th. m.st abundant *** trait analysis underscored th. pivotal role of th.roph.tes(constituting over 50.0% of th. flora)and anem.ch.rous species(33.0%-62.5%).Ph.togeograph.c analysis em.h.sized th. prevalence of th. Coronary Artery Patterns in Diabetic Patients Undergoing Diagnostic Coronary Angiograph.-Data from.a m.jor Cardiac Center in Yem.n

Background: Diabetes m.llitus (Dm. is independently associated with.an increased risk of cardiovascular m.rtality and m.rbidity, including coronary artery disease (CAD). CAD is a sh.red burden disease and th. leading cause of death.in developed and developing countries. We aim.d to assess th. angiograph.c patterns of coronary arteries in patients with.Dm.in a developing country (Yem.n) as th. first study. m.th.ds: Th.s study is a cross-sectional, prospective, observational study th.t includes a total of 250 patients wh. were adm.tted for elective diagnostic coronary angiograph.. Results: 96 (38.4%) patients were diabetics;68% were m.le;m.an age was 57 ± 11 years. Th. incidence of th.ee-vessel disease was 31.2% of patients. Considering th. severity of lum.n occlusion, (11.2%) of patients h.d non-significant lesions, (37.6%) of patients h.d significant lesions, and (32%) h.d total occlusive lesions. Lesions were of LAD in 76%, RCA in 60%, and LCX in 52% of th. population. Am.ng diabetics, two and 3-vessel diseases (33.3% vs. 20.8% & 50% vs. 19.5%, P = 0.001), left m.in lesion (10.4% vs. 2.6%, P = 0.012), significant stenosis (41.7% vs. 35.1%, P = 0.032), total occlusion of coronary arteries (43.8% vs. 19.5%, P = 0.032) and type C lesion (66.7% vs. 35.1%, P = 0.010) were m.re frequent th.n non-Dm.patients. Conclusion: Th. burden of significant and severe coronary lesions is m.re com.on am.ng Dm. wh.ch.m.y be th. m.jor cause of m.rbidity and m.rtality of Dm.in developing countries.

Sickle Cell Anem.a(SCA)is a prevalent genetic condition in Saudi Arabia,particularly in th. Patient h.alth.Questionnaire-9(Ph.-9)–between m.rch.m.y *** questionnaire covered socio-dem.graph.c inform.tion and variables related to th. participant’s SCA h.story,such.as pain levels,frequency of pain,h.spitalization duration,and frequency of blood *** variables underwent Ch.-square and One-way ANOVA testing,followed by m.ltivariate *** study found a 42%prevalence of depression am.ng th. SCA *** significantly linked with.h.igh.ened depression levels included being widowed or divorced,experiencing frequent and severe pain,and longer duration of h.spital *** educational level of at least a bach.lor’s degree was also a significant *** study reveals a h.gh.prevalence of depression am.ng SCA patients in th. Objective:Vitiligo is a relatively com.on skin disfiguring disorder th.t exh.bits a fluctuating course between activity and stability,m.king m.nitoring and m.nagem.nt *** plays a crucial role in th. path.genesis of *** autoim.une disorders h.ve been associated with.both.CD27 and ch.m.kine(C-X-C m.tif)ligand 10(CXCL10).h.wever,trials evaluating th.ir role in vitiligo are lacking in th. Egyptian *** evaluated th. circulating levels of th.se 2 biom.rkers in patients with.vitiligo and th. possible correlation between th.ir levels and disease ***:Th.s cross-sectional study included 70 patients with.vitiligo and 20 h.alth. *** patients were clinically assessed and th.n divided into active and stable groups according to clinical signs of activity and Vitiligo Disease Activity *** levels of CD27 and CXCL10 in th. serum.were assessed using an enzym.-linked im.unosorbent assay in both.th. patients and th. controls,th.n th. m.nn-Wh.tney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used to analyze th. difference between th. ***:Active and stable vitiligo patients h.ve significantly h.gh.r m.dian serum.CXCL10(385.9 and 245.2 pg/m.)and CD27(61.6 and 66.5 ng/m.)levels com.ared to th. controls(193 pg/m. and 52.5 ng/m.,respectively,all Ph.ugh.CXCL10 levels significantly increased with.disease activity(Pm.arable between th. 2 subgroups(P=0.953).CXCL10 positively correlated with.disease activity(r=0.887,Ph.d a h.gh.r sensitivity and a lower specificity(95.7%and 60.0%,respectively)com.ared to CD27(71.4%and 75%,respectively)for differentiating cases from.***:Th.re is a possibility th.t CXCL10 and CD27 are involved in th. developm.nt and course of vitiligo.

BackgroundTh. aim.of th.s study was to assess th. effect of a 4-week dutasteride treatm.nt on reducing th. intraoperative and postoperative bleeding, as well as th. am.unt and duration of irrigation required to clear th. urine after transureth.al resection of th. prostate (TURP) >= 50 g in m.n receiving th. antiplatelet drug (APD).m.terials and m.th.dsTh.s double-blind random.zed clinical trial included patients with.a prostate size >= 50 g wh. were indicated for TURP and were already receiving APD. Th. study was conducted in th. Urology Departm.nt of Cairo University over a 12-m.nth.period. Routine preoperative laboratory investigations were perform.d in all patients. m.reover, baseline prostate size, serum.prostate-specific antigen level, and International Prostate Sym.tom.Score were estim.ted. Th. patients were random.y divided into 2 equal groups (groups A and B). Group A, th. dutasteride group, received dutasteride (0.5 m.) once daily for 4 weeks. Group B, th. placebo group, received a placebo capsule once daily for 4 weeks. Both.groups underwent bipolar TURP. Fifteen patients were excluded from.th. study; 9 patients from.group A and 6 patients from.group B, eith.r due to drug intolerability or loss *** m.an blood loss was insignificant between th. 2 groups im.ediately after and 24 h.urs after surgery (Delta h.m.globin: 1.41 +/- 0.63 g/dL vs. 1.48 +/- 0.54 g/dL, 2.12 +/- 0.70 g/dL vs. 2.31 +/- 0.78 g/dL, respectively, p = 0.631, p = 0.333; Delta h.m.tocrit: 2.97% +/- 1.51% vs. 3.16% +/- 1.36%, 4.96% +/- 1.87% vs. 5.73% +/- 4.39%, respectively, p = 0.610, p = 0.380). h.wever, th.re were significant differences in duration of indwelling ureth.al cath.ter (5.10 +/- 0.55 days vs. 5.80 +/- 1.79 days, p = 0.048), duration of bladder irrigation (13.60 +/- 2.85 h.urs vs. 16.33 +/- 6.62 h.urs, p = 0.044), and th. am.unt of saline used for bladder irrigation (11.03 +/- 2.30 L vs. 13.87 +/- 6.13 L, p = 0.046) between group A and group B. ***
