An investigation into the optimal design of a substation grounding system for the transmission substation in Gaza City, Palestine has been carried out. A research into the most influential parameters on the effectiveness of the substation grid system has been performed and its results have been incorporated into the Gaza case study. Through modelling and simulating the power station in Gaza while considering some field data, an optimal substation grounding grid has been designed and has shown complete conformance to safety. It is thus considered that such a design will protect personnel in any area of the substation in addition to the installed machinery if the largest possible fault current was to traverse the earth.

This paper offers preliminary work on system dynamics and Data mining tools. It tries to understand the dynamics of carrying out large-scale events, such as Hajj. The study looks at a large, recurring problem as a variable to consider, such as how the flow of people changes over time as well as how location interacts with placement. The predicted data is analyzed using Vensim PLE 32 modeling software, GIS Arc Map 10.2.1, and AnyLogic 7.3.1 software regarding the potential placement of temporal service points, taking into consideration the three dynamic constraints and behavioral aspects: a large population, limitation in time, and space. This research proposes appropriate data analyses to ensure the optimal positioning of the service points with limited time and space for large-scale events. The conceptual framework would be the output of this study. Knowledge may be added to the insights based on the technique.

The major aim of the current study is to understand health related quality of life (HRQoL) domains from children’s own perspective. Specifically, we aim to determine the HRQoL in childhood chronic illnesses and to compare scores with healthy children. A cross-sectional study design with a total of 149 chronically ill children and 162 healthy participants was consecutively enrolled in this study. In this paper a PID Fuzzy-Neural controller (FNC) is designed as an Active Queue Management (AQM) in internet routers to improve the performance of Fuzzy Proportional Integral (FPI) controller for congestion avoidance in computer networks. A combination of fuzzy logic and neural network can generate a fuzzy neural controller which in association with a neural network emulator can improve the output response of the controlled system. This combination uses the neural network training ability to adjust the membership functions of a PID like fuzzy neural controller. The goal of the controller is to force the controlled system to follow a reference model with required transient specifications of minimum overshoot, minimum rise time and minimum steady state error. The fuzzy membership functions were tuned using the propagated error between the plant outputs and the desired ones. To propagate the error from the plant outputs to the controller, a neural network is used as a channel to the error. This neural network uses the back propagation algorithm as a learning technique. Firstly the parameters of PID of Fuzzy-Neural controller are selected by trial and error method, but to get the best controller parameters the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used as an optimization method for tuning the PID parameters. From the obtained results, it is noted that the PID Fuzzy-Neural controller provides good tracking performance under different circumstances for congestion avoidance in computer networks.

Blockchain technology is one of the key technological breakthroughs of the last decade.It has the ability to revolutionize numerous aspects of society,including financial systems,healthcare,e-government and many others.One such area that is able to reap the benefits of blockchain technology is the real estate industry.Like many other industries,real estate faces major administrative problems such as high transaction fees,a lack of transparency,fraud and the effects of a middleman including undue influence and commissions.Blockchain enables supporting technologies to overcome the obstacles inherent within the real estate investment market.These technologies include smart contracts,immutable record management and time-stamped storage.We utilize these key properties of blockchain technology in our work by proposing a system that has the ability to record real estate transactions in a private blockchain,using smart contracts.The immutability of the blockchain ledger and transactions can provide a safe space for the real estate business.Blockchain technology can also assist the authentication process by hastening background checks.Personal digital keys are provided to parties that are involved in a contract,thus minimizing the risk of fraud.We also discuss the rationale behind the advantages of using a blockchain in this manner,and how we selected the consensus mechanism for our proposed system.

Technology advances in the last a few decades have resulted in profound changes in our society, from workplaces to living rooms to how we socialize with each other. These changes in turn drive further technology developments, as the exponential growth of data demands ever increasing computing power. However, improvements in computing capacity from device scaling alone is no longer sufficient, and new materials, devices, and architectures likely need to be developed collaboratively to meet present and future computing needs. Specifically, devices that offer co-located memory and computing characteristics,as represented by memristor devices and memristor-based computing systems, have attracted broad interest in the last decade. Besides tremendous appeal in data storage applications, memristors offer the potential for efficient hardware realization of neuromorphic computing architectures that can effectively address the memory and energy walls faced by conventional von Neumann computing architectures. In this review, we evaluate the state-of-the-art in memristor devices and systems, and highlight the potential and challenges of applying such devices and architectures in neuromorphic computing applications. New directions that can lead to general, efficient in-memory computing systems will also be discussed.

In this study, a real-time control of the cart inverted pendulum system was developed using Mamdani type Fuzzy Logic Controller. Swing-up and stabilization of the inverted pendulum were implemented directly in a Fuzzy Logic Controller. The fuzzy logic controller was designed in the Matlab-Simulink environment and applied into in a Quasar controller board. Swing-up algorithm brings the pendulum near to its inverted position in 5 seconds from downward position. External forces were applied on the inverted pendulum to test the robustness of the fuzzy logic controller under internal as well as external disturbances. The inverted pendulum system showed an acceptable robustness to the external and internal disturbances.

Introduction: Viral load suppression is a key determinant of successful anti-retroviral therapy. The study aimed to determine virologic response to Antiretroviral therapy in the large cohort of children and adults living with Human Immune deficiency Virus. Materials and Methods: Viral Load results from the HIV Ribonucleic Acid Polymerase Chain Reaction register of 10,887 children and adults on cART in 4 states in Northern Nigeria between 2017 and 2019 were retrieved and analyzed in the PCR Molecular Laboratory of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe. Results: 10,887 children and adults were analyzed. Males were 28.4% (3094) and 71.6% (7793) females. 2.9% (311);3.5% (386);7.3% (797);65.2% (7098);14.5% (1583);5.2% (562) and 1.3% (150) were aged 0 - 9 years, 11 - 18 years;19 - 25 years, 26 - 45 years;46 - 55 years;56 - 65 years and 10 years. The most recent CD4count before viral load request was ≥1000/μL in 7.4% (810/10887);500 -999/μL in 39.0% (4240);350 - 499 μL in 22.7% (2466) and 1000 c/mL in 26.5% (821/3094) males and 24.1% (1876/7793) females. Viral load was significantly lower among females (p-value 0.007). 50.5% (157/311);52.1% (201/386);28.5% (227/797);23.5% (1670/7098);19.9% (315/1583);17.8% (100/562) and 18.0% (27/150) aged 0 - 9 years, 11 - 18 years;19 - 25 years, 26 - 45 years;46 - 55 years;56 - 65 years and 1000 c/mL respectively. Viral load was >1000 c/mL in 28.2% (229/811) for those on HAART for 6 months - 1 year and 23.6% (1243/5275) after receiving Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) for 1 - 5 years. 26.3% (1072/4075) and 21.1% (153/726) had viral load > 1000 c/mL after receiving HAART for 6 - 10 and >10 years respectively (p-value 0.001). Conclusion: HIV viral suppression was below the WHO recommended threshold.
