Introduction: The exhaustion of healthcare resources due to the rising prevalence in Saudi Arabia mandates the search for each method that can help in better control of diabetes. Methods: The gathered task force gath-ered to develop an explicit, evidence-based consensus for the use of time-in-range targets as guidance for better glycemic control while using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). This article has the recommenda-tions of this expert panel. Results: HbA1c and self-monitoring blood glu-cose (SMBG) are not enough to detect blood glucose (BG) fluctuations on a daily basis. The incorporation of technology like FreeStyle Libre with its applications like Libre View is now used in many institutes in Saudi Ara-bia. This system is comprehensive and has all the standardized metrics needed. However, training and support are always needed. Barriers and challenges include the awareness & experience of the technology, the time barrier, the patients’ barriers, the technical barriers, and of course, the availability barrier. all the barriers and challenges should be dealt with by designing new training programs. Conclusion: The expert panel recom-mended using CGMs technology in people with type 1 diabetes (T1DM) children and adults, type 2 diabetes (T2DM) on multiple insulin injections, gestational diabetes (GDM) who need further glycemic control, and those at high risk for hypoglycemia. In addition, we recommend using them for a short period for those who require intensive BG control or during acute illness or stress. In addition, Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP) could be used as an educational tool for any individuals with DM to study the im-pact of certain elements of lifestyle modifications on their immediate BG level.

Based on the density functional theory,the double half-Heusler alloys LuXCo_(2)Bi_(2)(X=V,Nb,and Ta)were studied to predict their structural,thermodynamic,thermoelectric,and optical *** the considered alloys are thermodynamically stable and have semiconductor behavior with indirect band gaps of 0.62,0.75,and 0.8 eV for LuVCo_(2)Bi_(2),LuNbCo_(2)Bi_(2),and LuTaCu_(2)Bi_(2),*** investigated compounds exhibit semiconducting behavior with energy gaps below 0.8 *** impact of heat and pressure on thermodynamic coefficients was evaluated,and the influence of charge carriers on the temperature-dependent properties was studied using the semi-classical Boltzmann *** studied compounds were characterized by their low lattice thermal conductivity at room temperature and low thermal expansion *** alloys exhibit substantial absorption coefficients in the ultraviolet(UV)light region,high optical conductivity,and high reflectivity in the visible light region,making them highly appealing materials for applications in the energy and electronics sectors.

BACKGROUND Picky eating is a commonly observed behavior among children globally,negatively impacting their physical and mental *** common characteristics distinguish peaky eaters,including food selectivity,food neophobia,and food avoidance,there is no clear definition to assess this *** to the unavailability of data regarding picky eating,it wasn’t easy to estimate its *** To develop a regional protocol to help healthcare professionals identify and manage mild and moderate picky eating *** A virtual roundtable discussion was held in April 2021 to gather the opinions of seven pediatricians and two pediatric dietitians from eight Middle Eastern countries who had great experience in the management of picky *** discussion covered different topics,including clearly defining mild and moderate picky eating,identifying the role of diet fortification in these cases,and the possibility of developing a systematic approach to diet *** The panel identified picky eating as consuming an inadequate amount and variety of foods by rejecting familiar and unfamiliar *** of the time,moderate picky eating cases had micronutrient deficiencies with over-or undernutrition;the mild cases only showed inadequate food consumption and/or poor diet *** attention to the organic red flags like growth faltering and development delay and behavioral red flags,including food fixation and anticipatory gagging,will help healthcare professionals evaluate the picky eaters and the caregivers to care for their *** dietary supplementation and commercial food fortification play an important role in picky eating,they were no benefit in the Middle *** The panel agreed that food fortification through a food-first approach and oral nutritional supplements would be the best for Middle Eastern *** recommendations would facilitate identifying and managing picky-eating children in the Middle East.

Developing cost-effective and high-performance catalyst systems for dry reforming of methane(DRM)is crucial for producing hydrogen(H_(2))***,we investigate using iron(Fe)as a promoter and major alumina support in Ni-based catalysts to improve their DRM *** addition of iron as a promotor was found to add reducible iron species along with reducible NiO species,enhance the basicity and induce the deposition of oxidizable *** incorporating 1 wt.%Fe into a 5Ni/10Zral catalyst,a higher CO_(2) interaction and formation of reducible"NiO-species having strong interaction with support"was observed,which led to an∼80%H_(2) yield in 420 min of Time on Stream(TOS).Further increasing the Fe content to 2 wt.%led to the formation of additional reducible iron oxide species and a noticeable rise in H_(2) yield up to 84%.Despite the severe weight loss on Fe-promoted catalysts,high H_(2) yield was maintained due to the proper balance between the rate of CH_(4) decomposition and the rate of carbon deposit ***,incorporating 3 wt.%Fe into the 5Ni/10Zral catalyst resulted in the highest CO_(2) interaction,wide presence of reducible NiO-species,minimumgraphitic deposit and an 87%H_(2) *** findings suggest that ironpromoted zirconia-alumina-supported Ni catalysts can be a cheap and excellent catalytic system for H_(2) production via DRM.

Thymus serpyllum L.,often known as wild thyme,has been used since ancient times due to its multifaceted culinary and medicinal *** is usually utilized in folk medicine to manage different health *** work aimed to investigate the chemical composition and biological characteristics of *** essential oil(EO),including its antimicrobial,antioxidant,and anti-inflammatory ***,we have prompted an in-silico simulation to reveal the underlying mode of action of these *** chemical characterization of ***(EO)by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry(GC-MS)indicated sabinene(17.33%),terpinen-4-ol(11.73%),phellandral(13.18%),and thymol(10.54%)as main *** antimicrobial screening utilized the disc-diffusion technique,MIC,and MBC *** disc-diffusion test’s results revealed significant anti-Candida activity and notable antibacterial *** MIC and MBC tests showed that *** EO effectively stops bacterial growth,including Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains and Candida *** tolerance level ratio demonstrated that this EO exhibits bactericidal and fungicidal effects on all tested bacteria and Candida ***,*** EO presented effective inhibitory activity against the 5-lipoxygenase(5-LOX)enzyme(IC50=744.19±0.1µg/mL)(palso effectively affected FRAP,β-carotene,DPPH,and ABTS *** light of these findings,*** holds promise for diverse applications across pharmaceuticals,nutraceuticals,and the food ***,further research and collaboration between traditional knowledge and modern medicine are crucial to fully realizing its potential benefits in these fields.

This study was conducted to investigate the properties of Pr3+-Dy3+doped Zn2Y-type hexaferrite for potential technological applications.X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and field-emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEM） were used to analyze structural *** crystallite size in the synthesized samples varies between 57.54 and 68.57 *** vibrational bands at 400 and 600 cm-1,common to all hexaferrites,were confirmed through *** FESEM analysis reveals an agglomeration of magnetic grains and a decrease in the average grain size from 1.24 to1.06 μ*** M-H loops show that,with x values of 0.0,0.1,and 0.2,the saturation magnetization is determined to be 34.76,34.23,and 32.52 emu/g,*** corresponding coercivity values are21.24,30.39,and 33.99 ***-visible spectroscopy using Tauc theory reveals an increase in the optical band gap from 2.32 to 2.50 eV,indicating a tunable energy band structure by incorporating Pr3+-Dy3+*** dielectric constant increases,whereas AC conductivity decreases with increased Pr3+-Dy3+*** obtained results suggest the potential suitability of these materials for various technological applications.

Accurate forecasting of oil production is essential for optimizing resource management and minimizing operational risks in the energy sector. Traditional time-series forecasting techniques, despite their widespread application, often encounter difficulties in handling the complexities of oil production data, which is characterized by non-linear patterns, skewed distributions, and the presence of outliers. To overcome these limitations, deep learning methods have emerged as more robust alternatives. However, while deep neural networks offer improved accuracy, they demand substantial amounts of data for effective training. Conversely, shallow networks with fewer layers lack the capacity to model complex data distributions adequately. To address these challenges, this study introduces a novel hybrid model called Transfer LSTM to GRU (TLTG), which combines the strengths of deep and shallow networks using transfer learning. The TLTG model integrates Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU) to enhance predictive accuracy while maintaining computational efficiency. Gaussian transformation is applied to the input data to reduce outliers and skewness, creating a more normal-like distribution. The proposed approach is validated on datasets from various wells in the Tahe oil field, China. Experimental results highlight the superior performance of the TLTG model, achieving 100% accuracy and faster prediction times (200 s) compared to eight other approaches, demonstrating its effectiveness and efficiency.
