Cox Proportional Hazard model is a popular statistical technique for exploring the relationship between the survival time of neonates and several explanatory variables. It provides an estimate of the study variables’ effect on survival after adjustment for other explanatory variables, and allows us to estimate the hazard (or risk) of death of newborn in NICU of hospitals in River Nile State-Sudan for the period (2018-2020). Study Data represented (neonate gender, mode of delivery, birth type, neonate weight, resident type, gestational age, and survival time). Kaplan-Meier method is used to estimate survival and hazard function for survival times of newborns that have not completed their first month. Of 700 neonates in the study area, 25% of them died during 2018-2020. Variables of interest that had a significant effect on neonatal death by Cox Proportional Hazard Model analysis were neonate weight, resident type, and gestational age. In Cox Proportional Hazard Model analysis all the variables of interest had an effect on neonatal death, but the variables with a significant effect included, weight of neonate, resident type and gestational age.

This paper concerns the Log-rank test for comparing survival curves of neonatal mortality characteristic groups in River Nile State, Sudan. In this paper, log-rank test is used to compare two or more survival curves for the characteristics of newborn associated with newborn death after using Kaplan-Meier methods to estimate and graph survival curves for the variable of interest as (sex of newborn, weight of newborn, gestational age, mode of delivery and resident type), at the hospital of River Nile state—Sudan, with a sample size 700 of newborn in which the admission to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of those hospitals during the period 2018-2020. In term of risk of death for newborn we found that 25% of sample study for newborns who were born in River Nile State-Sudan died. In addition, we conclude that after the log-rank statistics and Kaplan-Meier methods were applied, gender does not affect the newborn’s risk of survival, while the risk of survival increases when the birth weight is greater than 4.35 kg and the gestational age is greater than 42 weeks. There is no difference in the probability of survival for newborns whether the delivery is normal or cesarean. However, newborns are significantly more likely to survive in urban areas than in rural areas.

Renewable energy is one of the essential elements of the social and economic development in any civilized *** use of fossil fuels and the non-renewable form of energy has many adverse effects on the most of *** the high potential of renewable energy sources in Yemen and the absence of similar studies in the region,this study aimed to examine the wind energy potential of Hodeidah-Yemen Republic by analyzing wind characteristics and assessment,determining the available power density,and calculate the wind energy extracted at different *** average wind speed of Hodeidah was obtained only for the data currently available for the five years 2005–2009(due to the current economic and the political situation in Yemen).The results show that the average wind speed in the five years is(25.2 W/m2 at 10 m,93.9 W/m2 at 30 m,and 173.5 W/m2 at 50 m).The average yearly wind power density(25.2 W/m2 at 10 m,93.9 W/m2 at 30 m and 173.5 W/m2 at 50m),and the average yearly energy density(220.8 KWh/m2/year at 10 m,822.6 KWh/m2/year at 30 m and 1519.9 KWh/m2/year at 50 m).This research is a preliminary assessment of the potential of wind energy in Hodeidah,which provides useful information for developing wind energy and an efficient wind *** to the International Wind Energy Rating criteria,the region of Hodeidah falls under‘Class 2’and is classified as‘Marginal’for most of the year.

在孟加拉的吉大港南部森林地区,利用异速模型评估森林植被的有机碳的储量。异速模型被分别应用测试树木(被划分两个胸高直径级)、灌木和草本植物。采用基部面积估算胸高直径级为从>5cm到≤15cm和>15cm树木的生物量有机碳储量模型最好,分别有很高的决定系数(胸高直径级>5cm到≤15cm的r2为0.73697,胸高直径级>15cm的r2为0.87703),且回归系数(P=0.000)显著。其它模型(包括采用树高,胸高直径,树高和胸高直径,以及综合树高、胸高直径和木材密度)的线性和对数关系都表现出很低的决定系数。分别建立了20种优势树种的异速模型,采用树木基部面积的模型都得到很高的决定系数值。单独采用灌木和草本植物总生物量的异速模型有较高的决定系数(灌木的r2为0.87948,草本植物的r2为0.87325),且回归(系数)性显著(P=0.000)。生物量有机碳的评估是复杂的和耗时的研究,本研究所建立的异速模型可以应用于孟加拉和其它热带(地区)国家的森林植被的有机碳储量的测算。

Introduction: Bariatric surgery is identified as highly effective therapy for obesity and help to loss wight that is become important public health priority because it increases the risk of condition including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and several types of cancer whether by accomplishing mini-gastric bypass, Gastric bypass (Roux-en-Y) and sleeve gastrectomy [1] rapid weight loss increased incidence risk of gall stone formation [2]. Ursodeoxycholic acid is a bile acid which affect a reduction in cholesterol in biliary fluid primary by dispersing the cholesterol and forming a liquid-crystal phase [2], it’s can play a significant role in preventing of gall stone formation. Objective: Study potential effect of Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) on gall stone formation after bariatric surgery. Methods: This study Cross-sectional Trials, review of all patient underwent bariatric surgery November 2021-Jun 2022, Taif Military Hospital in the department of surgery, the sample of study will be around 143 participants or more, data collection all patient underwent bariatric surgery. Results: A Total of 160 patients underwent bariatric surgery in Taif Armed Forces Hospitals from 2015 to 2021. Of these, 53 were male (33.1%) and 107 were female (66.9%). only 33 patients (20.6%) received Ursodeoxycholic acid, and 127 patients (79.4%) weren’t proscribed for them. However, 40 patients (25%) develop gall stone and underwent cholecystectomy, three of them were on Ursodeoxycholic acid (9%) and 37 patients weren’t on Ursodeoxycholic acid (29%). which shows that Ursodeoxycholic acid remarkable reduce the risk of gall stone formation post wight reduction surgery. Conclusion: In conclusion, bariatric procedures come with the risk of leading to the formation of gallstones. This is especially in the stage when a patient experiences rapid loss of weight. This is why a preventive measure is necessary and UDCA have been considered for this purpose. This study has shown that patients who use UD
