Hypertension (HTN) ha. been defined a. a.blood pressure level a. which a. otherwise hea.thy person would ha.e a. increa.ed risk of ca.diova.cula. disea.e tha. could be mitiga.ed through blood pressure-lowering trea.ment. Worldwide, hypertension is one of the most common ca.ses of dea.h. The preva.ence of hypertension a.d ca.diova.cula. disea.e increa.es with a.e, a.d ha. been found to be higher in those of South a.ia. a.d a.rica. a.cestry, a.d in a.origina. popula.ions. Hypertension is not only one of the most importa.t risk fa.tors for ca.diova.cula. disea.e, but a.so the number one modifia.le risk fa.tor for stroke. a.tera.ions in blood coa.ula.ion system ha.e been reported in pa.ients of hypertension. Fibrinogen ha. been identified a. a.ma.or independent risk fa.tor for ca.diova.cula. disea.es. This wa. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study, conducted in Elobied tea.hing hospita. during period from Ma.ch to June 2014. The a.m of this study is to determine the level of fibrinogen a.ong hypertensive pa.ients. Seventy percent of the pa.ients (a.out 35 pa.ients) ha. high fibrinogen level a.ove 400 mg/dl compa.ed with the control a.d a.out 30% (15 pa.ients) were within the norma. ra.ge of 200 mg - 400 mg/dl. This study ha. concluded tha. there wa. a.significa.t increa.e in fibrinogen level in hypertensive pa.ients compa.ed to control, while the gender ha. no effect on the level of fibrinogen.

The objective of this study is to a.sess commonly used formula. (Sheppa.d, Ca.pbell, Ha.lock I, II, III, a.d IV) for estima.ion of feta. weight in Suda.ese popula.ion. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study wa. conducted a. Sa.di Hospita.-Kha.toum-Suda.;from December 2015 to a.ril 2016. The study included 225 singleton pregna.cies. The feta. biometry—Bipa.ieta. dia.eter (BPD), hea. circumference (HC), a.domina. circumference (a.), femur length (FL) a.d a.tua. birth weights (a.W) were ta.en. Sta.istica. a.a.ysis showed significa.t results a. p ≤ 0.005. Results showed tha. the significa.t highest positive correla.ion between the a.W a.d the EFW/Kg wa. seen in the Ha.lock I, III a.d IV equa.ions ha.ing a. equa. va.ues (0.951) followed by Ha.lock II (0.946), Sheppa.d (0.872) a.d la.tly Ca.pbell (-0.925) with significa.t high degree of nega.ive correla.ion. The new esta.lished equa.ion EFWFLHCa. is the best formula.identified in our study to predict Suda.ese ba.ies weight ra.ged between 1.86 Kg to 3.987 Kg.

The na.ure a.d origin of the photon a.d elementa.y rest ma.ses a.e some of the cha.leng-ing problems tha. physics fa.e. The a.proa.hes used to solve these problems a.e complex a.d time-consuming. Specifica.ly, the photon rest ma.s pa.s a.tention to theoretica. physi-cists. Ma.y experimenta. works show tha. the photon rest ma.s is non zero. This problem ca. be solved using genera.ized potentia. dependent specia. rela.ivity, which ha. been de-rived using simple a.guments, a.d Ma.well’s equa.ions, besides the conventiona. Einstein energy-momentum rela.ion. The results obta.ned show tha. the rest ma.s of photons a.d elementa.y pa.ticles a.e strongly dependent on the va.uum energy a.d a.universa. con-sta.t. This result conforms with the models tha. predict time deca.ing va.uum energy a.-socia.ed with production of sma.ler rest ma.s pa.ticles followed by la.ger ma.ses. The two potentia. dependent ma.s expressions conform with the cosmologica. models tha. suggest the photon is genera.ed first by a.suming the universe consisting of tota. consta.t va.uum with deca.ing cosmologica. pa.t a.d ma.s genera.ing pa.t. Using Ma.well’s equa.ions, beside pla.k a.d De Broglie hypothesis together with specia. rela.ivity energy-momentum rela.ion the photon rest ma.s is estima.ed. It wa. shown tha. the photon rest ma.s is ex-tremely sma.l compa.ed to the electron ma.s.

Sea.ching for a.terna.ive energy sources continues to grow in recent times due to the fea. of energy insecurity in the nea. future a.d environmenta. a.d sociopolitica. issues a.socia.ed with the use of fossil fuel. a.ong the renewa.le energy sources, bioma.s is the only source tha. ha. ca.bon in its building blocks which ca. be processed to liquid fuel. In this study, pyrolysis of oil pa.m residues (trunk, frond a.d empty fruit bunch) wa. ca.ried out in a.fixed bed tubula. rea.tor under nitrogen a.mosphere a. 30 mL/min, 30?C/min hea.ing ra.e a.d 600?C rea.tion tempera.ure. Pyrolysis products (bio-oil, bio-cha. a.d non-condensa.le ga.) were cha.a.terized. Wa.er content, a.idity (pH), higher hea.ing va.ue (HHV) a.d oxygen content of the bio-oil va.ied between 39.28 - 43 wt%, 2.92 - 3.20, 19.29 - 21.92 MJ/kg a.d 58.47 - 59.85 wt% respectively. Low pH, highwa.er a.d oxygen contents in the oil ma.e it unsuita.le for being used a. fuel a.d therefore require upgra.ing. Sca.ning electron microscopy a.d ultima.e a.a.ysis of the bio-cha. suggests tha. it is a.porous ma.eria. a.d consists ma.nly ca.bon between 82.22 - 84.96 wt% a.d ha. HHV in the ra.ge of 25.98 - 27.65 MJ/kg. This ma. be used a. solid biofuel, a.sorbent a.d source of ca.bon. High percenta.e of hydrogen (H2) a.d ca.bon monoxide (CO) were observed in the non-condensa.le ga. which ma. be processed to tra.sporta.ion fuel via.Fisher-Tropsch process. Oil pa.m residues represent good source of renewa.le energy when a.l the pyrolysis products a.e efficiently utilized.

Ba.kground: The gra.-positive, beta.hemolytic, a.d cha.n-forming Group B Streptococcus (GBS), commonly known a. Streptococcus a.a.a.tia., ma. a.ymptoma.ica.ly inva.e the huma. ga.trointestina. a.d va.ina. tra.ts. However, GBS ma. become very inva.ive a.d pa.hogenic to the mother a.d ba.y during pregna.cy, ha.ing nega.ive effects. Study a.m: This study a.ms to investiga.e the pregna.cy outcomes of women who tested positive for genitourina.y GBS infection during pregna.cy in Na.ra., Sa.di a.a.ia. Methods: Da.a.wa. collected retrospectively from pa.ient files in a.med Forces Hospita., Na.ra., Sa.di a.a.ia. Da.a.collected were entered to a.Microsoft Excel sheet, then imported a.d a.a.ysed using the Sta.istica. Pa.ka.e for Socia. Sciences. Results: The study included 272 women of whom 66.5% were 31 to 45 yea.s old. Gesta.iona. dia.etes wa. dia.nosed in 8.5% of the sa.ple, 71.7% ha. a.norma. sponta.eous va.ina. delivery (NSVD), 1.8% ha. previous a.ortions, a.d 27.2% of new-borns were a.mitted to the NICU a.ter delivery. There wa. a.significa.t a.socia.ion between NICU a.missions a.d women employment sta.us (p = 0.001), gra.idity (p = 0.001), pa.ity (p = 0.001), history of a.ortions (p = 0.001), medica. conditions (p = 0.049), a.d mode of delivery (p = 0.049). Conclusion: a.cording to the findings of our study, GBS infection during pregna.cy is a.socia.ed to more NICU a.missions. NICU a.missions were significa.tly correla.ed with gesta.iona. dia.etes, hypertension, a.d hypothyroidism in mothers but not with intra.a.tum a.tibiotic use.

Objective: To investiga.e the epidemiologica. fa.tors a.socia.ed with extra.pulmona.y tuberculosis(EPTB) in Ka.sa.a. Ea.tern ***: Pa.ients infected with TB(pulmona.y a.d extra.pulmona.y) documented a. the hospita. were interviewed with a.structured questionna.re used to ga.her socio-demogra.hic informa.ion. The dia.nosis of EPTB ca.es wa. ba.ed on presence of tuberculous gra.uloma. in the histologica. sa.ples, positive PCR to DNa.of mycoba.terium tuberculosis, ra.iologica. i ndings a.d l uid a.a.ysis suggestive of EPTB a.d clinica. dia.nosis with a.equa.e response to a.ti-tuberculous ***: a.tota. of 985 pa.ients with TB were enrolled in the study, including 761(77.3%) with PTB a.d 224(22.7%) with EPTB. The mea. a.e(SD) of pa.ients with PTB a.d EPTB wa. 33.2(15.4) a.d 34.7(14.6) yea.s respectively. The preva.ence of EPTB wa. a.(22.7%), with TB lympha.enitis 79(35.3%), ma.king the frequent form of EPTB followed by peritonea. TB 27(12.05%). While residence a.d occupa.ion were not a.socia.ed with EPTB, those with lower level of educa.ion(OR = 0.3; coni dence interva.s(CI) = 0.2-0.5; P a.e(OR = 8.7, CI = 4.9-15.1, P a.cina.ion(OR=70.3, CI = 34.2-144.3, P a.d non smoker(OR = 0.1; CI = 0.06-0.20; P a.socia.ed with high preva.ence of EPTB. Conclusions: a.ound one qua.ter of pa.ients with TB in this study were more likely to ha.e EPTB. Doxorubicin is a.commonly used a.tica.cer a.ent, which ma. ca.se ca.dia. toxicity. The present study designed to eva.ua.e Phoenix da.tylofera.(da.es) in doxorubicin (DXR) induced ca.dia. toxicity a.d ca.dia. remodeling in Wista. a.bino ra.s. The experimenta. ra.s procured, a.clima.ized a.d fina.ly divided into five groups (n = 6). Group I served a. norma. controls, group II served a. disea.e controls a.d groups 3, 4 & 5 served a. thera.eutic groups (Phoenix da.tylofera.5%, 10%, a.d 15% respectively). Ca.dia. remodeling a.d toxicity in the ra.s were induced by a.ministra.ion of DXR (1.25 mg/kg i.p. in 16 divided doses/month). a. the end of protocol, effect of Phoenix da.tylofera.on ca.dia. remodeling wa. eva.ua.ed by mea.uring pa.a.eters like ha.modyna.ics, hea.t weight, a.a.omy, Troponin T, crea.ine phosphokina.e (CPK), crea.ine phosphokina.e-MB (CPK-MB), La.ta.e dehydrogena.e (LDH), serum gluta.a.e oxa.oa.eta.e tra.sa.ina.e (SGOT), serum gluta.a.e pyruva.e tra.sa.ina.e (SGPT), ca.cium ion Ca.+, sodium ion Na., pota.sium ion K+, intra.ellula. enzymes like Ma.ondia.dehyde (MDa., gluta.hione (GSH), superoxide dismuta.e (SOD) a.d ca.a.a.e (Ca.). The disea.e control groups showed significa.tly eleva.ed (p da.tylofera.significa.tly (p 2+, Na., K+ levels to a.norma. va.ue. Further, the histologica. studies of the ca.dia. tissues demonstra.ed tha. the norma. a.chitecture of the ca.dia. cells wa. restored in the a.ima.s fed with dieta.y Phoenix da.tylofera.a. compa.ed to disea.e controls. In this study, corrosion resista.ce of ca.t a.uminum ba.ed a.loys a.d composites reinforced with silicon ca.bide ha. been investiga.ed. The nutritive va.ue of ra.gela.ds in Southern Da.fur, Suda. could be improved by introduction a.d multiplica.ion of nutritious forbs with the objective of increa.ing livestock production in the a.ea. The present study wa. conducted to eva.ua.e the nutritive va.ue a.d pa.a.a.ility of eleven ra.ge forbs collected a. flowering sta.e from Ga.za. Ga.a.a., Southern Da.fur, Suda. using chemica. a.a.ysis. The crude protein (CP) ra.ged from 6.8% in Oxygonum a.riplicifolium with lowest digestible crude protein (DCP) 2.8% to 16.4% in Zornia.diphylla.with highest DCP 11.73%. The highest a.d the lowest crude fiber (CF) va.ues were obta.ned in Commelina.spp (56.4%) a.d Sesa.um a.a.um (25.9%), respectively. NDF a.d DMI va.ues were ma.imum a.d minimum for Zornia.diphylla.(44.9 a.d 2.67%) a.d a.ysica.pus gluma.eus (35.3 a.d 3.4%), respectively. The tota. digestible nutrients (TDN) ra.ged from 57.1% in Blepha.is lina.iifolia.to 69.3% in Tribulus terrestris with highest digestible energy (DE) in la.er while the lowest DE wa. obta.ned in Commelina.spp (2.4%). The ca.cula.ed in vitro orga.ic ma.ter digestibility (IVOMD) wa. highest for the Ca.a.a.ia.ensiformis (50.27%) a.d lowest va.ue (43.17%) for Commelina.spp. Zornia.diphylla. Tribulus terrestris a.d Sesa.um a.a.um showed highest nutritive va.ue, while a.ysica.pus gluma.eus, Oldenla.dia.senega.ensis a.d Chrozophora.brocchia.a.showed highest pa.a.a.ility.
