A hydrogen energy storage system(HESS)is one of the many risingmodern green innovations,using excess energy to generate hydrogen and storing it for various *** that,there have been many discussions about commercializing HESS and improving it ***,the design and sizing process can be overwhelming to comprehend with various sources to examine,and understanding optimal design methodologies is crucial to optimize a HESS *** that,this review aims to collect and analyse a wide range of HESS studies to summarise recent *** different collections of studies are studied,one was sourced by the main author for preliminary readings,and another was obtained via *** findings from the Web of Science platform were also examined for amore comprehensive *** findings include the People’sRepublic of China has been active in HESS research,as most works and active organizations originate from this *** has been mainly researched to support power generation and balance load demands,with financial analysis being the common scope of *** is a common tool used for HESS design,modelling,and optimization as it can handle complex *** neural network(ANN)has the potential to be used to model the HESS,but additional review is required as a formof future *** a commercialization perspective,pressurized hydrogen tanks are ideal for hydrogen storage in a HESS,but other methods can be considered after additional research and *** this review,it can be implied that modelling works will be the way forward for HESS research,but extensive collaborations and additional review are ***,this review summarized various takeaways that future research works on HESS can use.

Biomechanical study of the visual system by ocular response analyzer investigates the inter-structural biological relationships,mechanics,and function of the visual *** review aimed to investigate the changes in corneal biomechanical parameters with age and *** articles published in PubMed between 2000 and 2021 were investigated and critiqued,and valid scientific evidence was collected,reviewed and concluded according to the inclusion and exclusion *** studies showed that corneal biomechanical changes occur infrequently in children up to the age of 20y,and with increasing age and wider age range,there was a significant decrease in corneal biomechanical indices,especially corneal *** children and adults,most studies have shown that these biomechanical indicators,especially corneal resistance factor,were higher in *** hormonal changes may contribute to this finding,the role of axial length and other biometric indicators should not be *** axial length,the intraocular pressure,and the corneal thickness are other factors associated with biomechanical parameters that should be taken into account in clinical diagnosis and management especially for patients undergoing refractive surgery as well as keratoconus patients.

Watermarking is embedding visible or invisible data within media to verify its authenticity or protect *** watermark is embedded in significant spatial or frequency features of the media to make it more resistant to intentional or unintentional *** of these features are important perceptual features according to the human visual system(HVS),which means that the embedded watermark should be imperceptible in these ***,both the designers of watermarking algorithms and potential attackers must consider these perceptual features when carrying out their *** two roles will be considered in this paper when designing a robust watermarking algorithm against the most harmful attacks,like volumetric scaling,histogram equalization,and non-conventional watermarking attacks like the Denoising Convolution Neural Network(DnCNN),which must be considered in watermarking algorithm design due to its rising role in the state-of-the-art *** DnCNN is initialized and trained using watermarked image samples created by our proposed Covert and Severe Attacks Resistant Watermarking Algorithm(CSRWA)to prove its *** this algorithm to satisfy the robustness and imperceptibility tradeoff,implementing the Dither Modulation(DM)algorithm is boosted by utilizing the Just Noticeable Distortion(JND)principle to get an improved performance in this ***,luminance,inter and intra-block contrast are used to adjust the JND values.

The Cross-domain Heuristic Search Challenge(CHeSC)is a competition focused on creating efficient search algorithms adaptable to diverse problem *** hyper-heuristics are a class of algorithms that dynamically choose heuristics during the search *** selection hyper-heuristics have different imple-mentation ***,comparisons between them are lacking in the literature,and previous works have not highlighted the beneficial and detrimental implementation methods of different *** question is how to effectively employ them to produce an efficient search ***,the algorithms that competed in the inaugural CHeSC have not been collectively *** work conducts a review analysis of the top twenty competitors from this competition to identify effective and ineffective strategies influencing algorithmic performance.A summary of the main characteristics and classification of the algorithms is *** analysis underlines efficient and inefficient methods in eight key components,including search points,search phases,heuristic selection,move acceptance,feedback,Tabu mechanism,restart mechanism,and low-level heuristic parameter *** review analyzes the components referencing the competition’s final leaderboard and discusses future research directions for these *** effective approaches,identified as having the highest quality index,are mixed search point,iterated search phases,relay hybridization selection,threshold acceptance,mixed learning,Tabu heuristics,stochastic restart,and dynamic *** are also compared with recent trends in *** work enhances the understanding of selection hyper-heuristics,offering valuable insights for researchers and practitioners aiming to develop effective search algorithms for diverse problem domains.

Rockburst is defined as a phenomenon with immediate dynamic instability under excavation unloading conditions of deep or high geostress *** knowledge and lack of characterizing information prevent engineers and experts from achieving appropriate prediction results related to the rockburst *** this study,a data set including 220 rockburst instances was collected for rockburst classification via the geostatistical *** update of the 2D graph,the tunnel rockburst classification(TRC)chart,was introduced based on analysing three indicators,namely,elastic energy index(Wet),tangential stress in rock mass(σ_(0)),and uniaxial compressive strength(σ_(c)).Distribution and correlation of data were drawn on 2D plot,and the boundaries of rockburst were distinguished according to the achieved interpolate points by kriging ***,the validation phase was performed using an additional set of 28 case histories obtained from several projects around the *** results showed that the TRC chart with an average error percentage of 3.6%in the prediction of rockburst had a significant and effective implementation in comparison to the exiting heuristic *** the initial character of the prediction,the described chart may be a helpful tool in the first steps of design and construction.

A simultaneous experimental and numerical study on crack propagation in the pre-cracked beams specimens(concrete-like materials) is carried out using three-point bending flexural test. The crack propagation and coalescence paths of internal cracks in side beam specimens are experimentally studied by inserting double internal cracks. The effects of crack positions on the fracturing path in the bridge areas of the double cracked beam specimens are also studied. It has been observed that the breaking of concrete-like cracked beams specimens occurs mainly by the propagation of wing cracks emanating from the tips of the pre-existing cracks in the numerical and experimental analyses, respectively. The same specimens are numerically simulated by an indirect boundary element method(IBEM) known as displacement discontinuity method(DDM) using higher displacement discontinuity. These numerical results are compared with the existing experimental results. This comparison illustrates the higher accuracy of the results obtained by the indirect boundary element method by using only a small number of elements compared with the discrete element method(PFC2D code).

Juniperus excelsa ***,(Persian juniper),is found in northeast *** this study,the relationship between ground cover and vegetation indices have been investigated using remote sensing data for a Persian juniper *** data were analyzed based on the Advanced Visible and Near Infrared Radiometer type 2 and panchromatic data obtained by the Panchromatic Remote-sensing Instrument for Stereo Mapping sensors,both on board the advanced land observing satellite(ALOS).The ground cover was calculated using field survey data from 25 sub-sample plots and the vegetation indices were derived with 595 maximum filtering algorithm from ALOS data.R2 values were calculated for the normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and various soil-adjusted vegetation indices(SAVI)with soilbrightness-dependent correction factors equal to 1 and 0.5,a modified SAVI(MSAVI)and an optimized SAVI(OSAVI).R2 values for the NDVI,MSAVI,OSAVI,SAVI(1),and SAVI(0.5)were 0.566,0.545,0.619,0.603,and 0.607,*** ratio vegetation index for arid and semi-arid regions based on spectral wavelengths of ALOS data with an R2 value 0.633 was *** of the current study will be useful for forest inventories in arid and semi-arid regions in addition to assisting decisionmaking for natural resource managers.

This paper proposes a sliding mode controller based on robust model reference adaptive proportional-integral(RMRA-PI)control for a stand-alone voltage source inverter(SA-VSI).The proposed controller has two control loops where the coefficients of PI controller are regulated by the adaptive sliding *** method is used to regulate the output voltage of the inverter under different load conditions and uncertainty,and adapts the output to the reference model to reduce the total harmonic distortion(THD).In this paper,the stability of the proposed controller is proven by using Lyapunov's theory and Barbalet’s *** proposed controller performs well in voltage regulation such as low THD under sudden load change and ***,the results of the proposed controller are compared with PI controller to show the effectiveness of the presented control system.

In this study,the influences of spatially varying stochastic properties on free vibration analysis of composite plates were investigated via development of a new approach named the deterministic-stochastic Galerkin-based semi-analytical *** material properties including tensile modulus,shear modulus,and density of the plate were assumed to be spatially varying and *** fields with first-order Markov kernels were utilized to define the aforementioned material *** stochastic fields were decomposed via application of the K arhunen-Loeve theorem.A first-order shear deformation theory was assumed,following which the displacement field was defined using admissible trigonometric modes to derive the potential and kinetic *** stochastic equations of motion of the plate were obtained using the variational *** deterministic-stochastic Galerkin-based method was utilized to find the probability space of natural frequencies,and the corresponding mode shapes of the plate were determined using a polynomial chaos *** proposed method significantly reduced the size of the mathematical models of the structure,which is very useful for enhancing the computational efficiency of stochastic *** methodology was verifed using a stochastic finite element method and the available results in *** sensitivity of natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes due to the uncertainty of material properties was investigated,and the results indicated that the higher-order modes are more sensitive to uncertainty propagation in spatially varying properties.
