By using spectrophotometric and potentiometric techniques the formation constants of the species formed in the systems h^＋＋ Mo（Ⅵ）＋nitrilotriacetic acid and h^＋＋ nitrilotriacetic acid have been determined in aqueous solutions of propanol at 25 ℃ and constant ionic strength 0.1 molodm^-3 sodium perchlorate. The composition of the complex was determined by the continuous variation method. It was shown that molybdenum（Ⅵ） forms a mononuclear 1 ： 1 complex with nitrilotriacetic acid of the type MoO3L^-3 at -lg[h^＋] =5.8. The formation constants in various media were analyzed in terms of Kamlet and Taft＇s parameters. Linear relationships were observed when lg Ks was plotted versusp. Finally, the results were discussed in terms of the effect of solvent on complexation.

In this study,after determination of the optimal values of the effective parameters in the synthesis using experimental design software,tablet-shaped potato starch aerogels were synthesized at the optimal condition in order to be used as a drug *** celecoxib,as the model drug,was loaded into the aerogel matrix during the solvent exchange ***(Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy),FESEM and hRTEM(Transmission Electron Microscopy)analyses showed that celecoxib has been successfully loaded into aerogel ***,XRD analysis showed that most of the celecoxib has been loaded in amorphous *** vitro studies were performed in both simulated gastric and intestinal *** release kinetics showed that the loaded celecoxib dissolved faster than crystalline *** rotational speed of 100 r·min^-1,about 26%and 50%and at rotational speed of 50 r·min^-1,about 20%and 42%drug was released during the first 30 min of soaking in the simulated gastric fluid and simulated intestinal fluid,*** release of the mentioned drug was increased up to 60%and 98%at a rotational speed of 100 r·min^-1 and up to 46%and 93%at a rotational speed of 50 r·min^-1 at the end of 5 h in the simulated gastric fluid and simulated intestinal fluid,*** could be concluded that potato starch aerogels can be very useful in many drug delivery applications along with conventional micronization *** of release data showed that the release kinetics follows the Korsmeyer Peppas model,which considers phenomena of matrix erosion and drug diffusion.

Pedotransfer functions （PTFs） have been developed to estimate soil water retention curves （SWRC） by various techniques. In this study PTFs were developed to estimate the parameters （θs, θr, α and λ） of the Brooks and Corey model from a data set of 148 samples. Particle and aggregate size distribution fractal parameters （PSDFPs and ASDFPs, respectively） were computed from three fractal models for either particle or aggregate size distribution. The most effective model in each group was determined by sensitivity analysis. Along with the other variables, the selected fractal parameters were employed to estimate SWRC using multi-objective group method of data handling （mGMDh） and different topologies of artificial neural networks （ANNs）. The architecture of ANNs for parametric PTFs was different regarding the type of ANN, output layer transfer functions and the number of hidden neurons. Each parameter was estimated using four PTFs by the hierarchical entering of input variables in the PTFs. The inclusion of PSDFPs in the list of inputs improved the accuracy and reliability of parametric PTFs with the exception of ~s- The textural fraction variables in PTF1 for the estimation of a were replaced with PSDFPs in PTF3. The use of ASDFPs as inputs significantly improved a estimates in the model. This result highlights the importance of ASDFPs in developing parametric PTFs. The mCMDh technique performed significantly better than ANNs in most PTFs.

An innovative variable stiffness device is proposed and investigated based on numerical simulations. The device, called a folding variable stiffness spring （FVSS）, can be widely used, especially in tuned mass dampers （TMDs） with adaptive stiffness. An important characteristic of FVSS is its capability to change the stiffness between lower and upper bounds through a small change of distance between its supports. This special feature results in lower time-lag errors and readjustment in shorter time intervals. The governing equations of the device are derived and simplified for a symmetrical FVSS with similar elements. This device is then used to control a single-degree-of-freedom （SDOF） structure as well as a multi-degree-of-freedom （MDOF） structure via a semi-active TMD. Numerical simulations are conducted to compare several control cases for these structures. To make it more realistic, a real direct current motor with its own limitations is simulated in addition to an ideal control case with no limitations and both the results are compared. It is shown that the proposed device can be effectively used to suppress undesirable vibrations of a structure and considerably improves the performance of the controller compared to a passive device.

Cu(BTC),a common type of metal organic framework(MOF),was synthesized through electrochemical route for CO capture and its separation from *** method was employed for optimization of key parameters affecting the synthesis of Cu(BTC).The results indicated that the optimum synthesis conditions with the highest CO selectivity can be obtained using 1 g of ligand,applied voltage of 25 V,synthesis time of 2 h,and electrode length of 3 *** single gas sorption capacity of the synthetized microstructure Cu(BTC)for CO(at 298 K and 1 bar)was a considerable value of 4.40 mmol·*** isosteric heat of adsorption of both gases was calculated by inserting temperature-dependent form of Langmuir isotherm model in the Clausius-Clapeyron *** adsorption of CO/N binary mixture with a concentration ratio of 15/85 vol-%was also studied experimentally and the result was in a good agreement with the predicted value of IAST ***,Cu(BTC)showed no considerable loss in CO adsorption after six sequential *** addition,artificial neural networks(ANNs)were also applied to predict the separation behavior of CO/N mixture by MOFs and the results revealed that ANNs could serve as an appropriate tool to predict the adsorptive selectivity of the binary gas mixture in the absence of experimental data.
