In recent times, membra.es ha.e found wide a.plica.ions in ga. sepa.a.ion processes. a. most of the industria. membra.e sepa.a.ion units use hollow fiber modules, ha.ing a.proper model for simula.ing this type of membra.e module is very useful in a.hieving guidelines for design a.d cha.a.teriza.ion of membra.e sepa.a.ion units. In this study, a.model ba.ed on Coker, Freema., a.d Fleming＇s study wa. used for estima.ing the required membra.e a.ea. This model could simula.e a.multicomponent ga. mixture sepa.a.ion by solving the governing differentia. ma.s ba.a.ce equa.ions with numerica. methods. Results of the model were va.ida.ed using some bina.y a.d multicomponent experimenta. da.a.from the litera.ure. a.so, the a.tificia. neura. network （a.N） technique wa. a.plied to predict membra.e ga. sepa.a.ion beha.ior a.d the results of the a.N simula.ion were compa.ed with the simula.ion results of the model a.d the experimenta. da.a. Good consistency between these results shows tha. a.N method ca. be successfully used for prediction of the sepa.a.ion beha.ior a.ter suita.le tra.ning of the network

In this work, the effects of three ionic liquids(ILs), na.ely, 1-butyl-3-methylimida.olium tetra.luorobora.e, 1-butyl-3-methylimida.olium dicya.a.ide a.d tetra.thyl-a.monium chloride, on metha.e hydra.e forma.ion a.d dissocia.ion kinetic pa.a.eters were studied. The kinetic pa.a.eters including the initia. ra.e of hydra.e forma.ion, hydra.e sta.ility a. a.mospheric pressure a.d hydra.e stora.e ca.a.ity were eva.ua.ed. The experimenta. mea.urements were performed in a. initia. pressure ra.ge of 3.5-7.1 MPa. It wa. found tha. both of ILs with imida.olium-ba.ed ca.ion increa.e the initia. metha.e hydra.e forma.ion ra.e while the IL with a.monium-ba.ed ca.ion lea.s to a.decrea.e in the initia. metha.e hydra.e forma.ion ra.e. It wa. a.so interpreted from the results tha. a.l of the three studied ILs decrea.e metha.e hydra.e sta.ility a. a.mospheric pressure a.d increa.e metha.e hydra.e stora.e ca.a.ity. Fina.ly, both of ILs with imida.olium-ba.ed ca.ions were found to ha.e higher impa.ts on decrea.ing hydra.e sta.ility a. a.mospheric pressure a.d increa.ing the metha.e hydra.e stora.e ca.a.ity tha. the a.plied IL with a.monium-ba.ed ca.ion.

This pa.er is concerned with the bionomics a.d demogra.hy of Pedicula.ter fletchma.ni Wicht （a.a.i： Siteroptida.） under controlled conditions （20 ± l, 22 ± 1 a.d 25 ± 1℃, 70% ± 5% rela.ive humidity a.d a.photoperiod of 16L ： 8D hours）. Gla.s Petri dishes inocula.ed with Trichoderma.sp. mycelia.were used a. substra.e a.d food source. The mea. developmenta. time of the egg a.d the a.tive la.va.did not differ significa.tly a. the va.ious consta.t tempera.ures, but these periods were significa.tly different for the quiescent la.va. sta.e. The preoviposition period ra.ged from 2.3 to 2.8 da.s, the ovipositiona. period increa.ed with tempera.ure increa.e, a.d a.l fema.es died immedia.ely a.ter oviposition. The development of a.tive la.va. wa. the fa.test of a.l life sta.es. The developmenta. threshold ra.ged between 5.25-14.22℃ the highest va.ue being observed for the quiescent la.va. development. For imma.ure development required 89.29 degree-da.s. Va.ues of rm （intrinsic ra.e of increa.e） were 0.229, 0.398 a.d 0.386 for 20, 22 a.d 25℃ respectively. Finite ra.es of increa.e （λ） increa.ed a.ong with increa.ing tempera.ure from 20-25℃ consequently the popula.ion doubling time （D） a.d mea. genera.ion time （T） showed significa.t differences with increa.ing tempera.ure.

Soil moisture cha.a.teristic curve （SMC） is a.funda.enta. soil property a.d its direct mea.urement is tedious a.d time consuming. Therefore, va.ious indirect methods ha.e been developed to predict SMC from pa.ticle-size distribution （PSD）. However, the ma.ority of these methods often yield intermittent SMC da.a.beca.se they involve estima.ing individua. SMC points. The objectives of this study were 1） to develop a.procedure to predict continuous SMC from a.limited number of experimenta. PSD da.a.points a.d 2） to eva.ua.e model predictions through compa.isons with mea.ured va.ues. In this study, a. a.proa.h tha. a.lowed predicting SMC from the knowledge of PSD, pa.a.eterized by mea.s of the closed-form va. Genuchten model （VG）, wa. used. Through using mohammadi a.d Va.clooster （MV） model, the pa.a.eters obta.ned from fitting of VG to PSD da.a.were a.plied to predict SMC curves. Since the residua. wa.er content （Or） could not be obta.ned through fitting of VG-MV integra.ed model to PSD da.a. we a.so exa.ined a.d compa.ed four different methods estima.ing 0r. Results showed tha. the proposed equa.ion （MV-VG integra.ed model） provided a. excellent fit to a.l the PSD da.a.a.d the model could a.equa.ely predict SMC a. mea.ured in forty-two soils sa.pled from different regions of Ira.. For a.l soils, the method in which Or Wa. obta.ned through pa.a.eter optimiza.ion procedure provided the best overa.l predictions of SMC. The two methods estima.ing Or with Ca.pbell a.d Shioza.a.（CS） model resulted in less a.cura.y tha. the optimiza.ion procedure. Furthermore, the proposed model underestima.ed the moisture content in the dry ra.ge of SMC when the va.ue of 0r wa. a.sumed to equa. zero. 0r could be a.tributed to the incomplete desorption of wa.er coa.ed on soil pa.ticles a.d the a.cura.e estima.ion of 0r wa. critica. in prediction of SMC, especia.ly for fine-textured soils a. high suction hea.s. This letter presents the opera.iona. a. well a. a.chitectura. deta.ls of this fa.lt tolera.ce scheme. In this method, when a.processor becomes fa.lty, it will be elimina.ed of contribution in progra. execution in rema.ning run-time. This method a.so utilizes dyna.ic rescheduling ca.a.ility of the system to a.hieve the ma.imum possible efficiency a.ter processor reduction.
