The world is currently fa.ing the cha.lenges of globa. wa.ming a.d clima.e cha.ge. Numerous efforts ha.e been ta.en to mitiga.e CO2 emission, a.ong which is the use of solid sorbents for CO2 ca.ture. In this work, Li4SiO4 wa. synthesised via.a.sol-gel method using lithium nitra.e （LiNO3） a.d tetra.thylorthosilica.e （SiC8H20O4） a. precursors. a.pa.a.etric study of Li：Si mola. ra.io （1-5）, ca.cina.ion tempera.ure （600-800℃） a.d ca.cina.ion time （1-8 h） were conducted during sorbent synthesis. Ca.cina.ion tempera.ure （700-800℃） a.d ca.bona.ion tempera.ure （500-700℃） during CO2 sorption a.tivity were a.so va.ied to confirm the optimum opera.ing tempera.ure. Sorbent with the highest CO2 sorption ca.a.ity wa. fina.ly introduced to severa. cyclic tests to study the dura.ility of the sorbent through 10 cycles of CO2 sorption-desorption test. The results showed tha. the ca.cina.ion tempera.ure of 800℃ a.d ca.bona.ion tempera.ure of 700℃ were the best opera.ing tempera.ures, with CO2 sorption ca.a.ity of 7.95 mmol CO2·（g sorbent）^-1 （93% of the theoretica. yield）. Throughout the ten cyclic processes, CO2 sorption ca.a.ity of the sorbent ha. dropped a.proxima.ely 16.2% from the first to the tenth cycle, which wa. a.rea.ona.le decline. Thus, it wa. concluded tha. Li4SiO4 is a.potentia. CO2 solid sorbent for high tempera.ure CO2 ca.ture a.tivity.

By combining DEM （Discrete Element Method） a.d FEM （Finite Element Method）, a.model is esta.lished to simula.e the brea.a.e of twodimensiona. sha.p-edge pa.ticles, in which the simula.ed pa.ticles a.e a.sumed to ha.e no cra.ks. Pa.ticles ca., however, crush during different sta.es of the numerica. a.a.ysis, if stress-ba.ed brea.a.e criteria.a.e fulfilled inside the pa.ticles. With this model, it is possible to study the influence of pa.ticle brea.a.e on ma.ro- a.d micro-mecha.ica. beha.ior of simula.ed a.gula. ma.eria.s. Two series of tests, with a.d without brea.a.le pa.ticles, a.e simula.ed under different confining pressures ba.ed on conditions of bia.ia. tests. The results, presented in terms of micromecha.ica. beha.ior for different confining pressures, a.e compa.ed with ma.ropa.a.eters. The influence of pa.ticle brea.a.e on microstructure of sha.p-edge ma.eria.s is discussed a.d the rela.ed confining pressure effects a.e investiga.ed. Brea.a.e of pa.ticles in rockfill ma.eria.s a.e shown to reduce the a.isotropy coefficients of the sa.ples a.d therefore their strength a.d dila.ion beha.iors.

In this experimenta. study,the impa.t of Portla.d cement repla.ement by ground gra.ula.ed bla.t furna.e sla.(GGBFS)a.d micronized rubber powder(MRP)on the compressive,flexura.,tensile strengths,a.d ra.id chloride migra.ion test(RCMT)of concrete were *** this study,sa.ples with different binder content a.d wa.er to binder ra.ios,including the MRP with the substitution levels of 0%,2.5%a.d 5%,a.d the GGBFS with the substitution ra.ios of 0%,20%a.d 40%by weight of Portla.d cement were *** to the results,in the sa.ples conta.ning sla. a.d rubber powder in the ea.ly a.es,on a.era.e,a.12.2%decrea.e in the mecha.ica. cha.a.teristics of concrete wa. observed,nonetheless with ra.sing the a.e of the sa.ples,the impa.t of sla. on reducing the porosity of concrete lowered the nega.ive impa.t of rubber *** dura.ility cha.a.teristics,the RCMT results of the sa.ples were enha.ced by using rubber powder beca.se of its insula.ion ***,a.ding sla. into the MRP-included mixtures results in a.23%reduction in the migra.ion ra.e of the chloride ion *** la.t,four ma.hema.ica. sta.ements were derived for the mecha.ica. a.d dura.ility of concrete conta.ning the MRP a.d GGBFS utilizing the genetic progra.ming method.
