Differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） has been used extensively to study different solid state reactions. The signals measured in DSC are associated with the growth and dissolution of different precipitates during a specific heat cycle. The time-temperature dependence of heat cycles and the corresponding heat flow evolution measured in the sample by DSC provide valuable experimental information about the phase evolution and the precipitation kinetics in the material. The thermo-kinetic computer simulation was used to predict the DSC signals of samples taken from 6xxx and 2xxx alloys. In the model, the evolution of different metastable and stable phases and the role and influence of excess quenched-in vacancies in the early stage of precipitation were taken into account. Transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and high-resolution TEM were used to verify the existence of precipitates, their size and number density at specific points of the DSC curves.

This study demonstrates amplification of electrical signals using a very simple nanomechanical *** is shown that vibration amplitude amplification using a combination of mechanical resonance and thermal-piezoresistive energy pumping,which was previously demonstrated to drive self-sustained mechanical oscillation,can turn the relatively weak piezoresistivity of silicon into a viable electronic amplification mechanism with power gains of 420 *** functionalities ranging from frequency selection and timing to sensing and actuation have been successfully demonstrated for microscale and nanoscale electromechanical *** such capabilities complement solid-state electronics,enabling state-of-the-art compact and high-performance electronics,the amplification of electronic signals is an area where micro-/nanomechanics has not experienced much *** contrast to semiconductor devices,the performance of the proposed nanoelectromechanical amplifier improves significantly as the dimensions are reduced to the nanoscale presenting a potential pathway toward deep-nanoscale *** nanoelectromechanical amplifier can also address the need for ultranarrow-band filtering along with the amplification of lowpower signals in wireless communications and certain sensing applications,which is another need that is not efficiently addressable using semiconductor technology.

Simulation of Hazy Image and Validation of Haze Removal Technique

Haze hampers the performance of vision systems. So, removal of haze appearance in a scene should be the first-priority for clear vision. It finds wide spectrum of practical applications. A good number of dehazing techniques have already been developed. However, validation with the help of ground truth i.e. simulated haze on a clear image is an ultimate necessity. To address this issue, in this work synthetic haze images with various haze concentrations are simulated and then used to confirm the validation task of dark-channel dehazing mechanism, as it is a very promising single image dehazing technique. The simulated hazy image is developed using atmospheric model with and without Perlin noise. The effectiveness of dark-channel dehazing method is confirmed using the simulated haze images through average gradient metric, as haze reduces the gradient score.

In this paper, an optical waveguide junction is introduced to reduce crosstalk based on a hexagonal structure of photonic crystals for TE modes. The wavelength is 1330 nm which is an important wavelength for optical fiber data transmission. Simulation results show that the proposed design exhibits a reduction of -50 dB in crosstalk. It translates to a considerable isolation improvement between two crossover waveguides. FDTD method is used to obtain the transmission coefficient.

Microorganism isolates (n = 49) were obtained from the soil samples collected from field in Gotsu city (Kawahira), Shimane. Isolate GT2-E culture inhibited the growth of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae in disk diffusion method. Rice bacterial leaf blight was suppressed by GT2-E culture in the pre- and post-treated rice leaves. Sequence analysis of 16S rDNA region of the GT2-E isolate indicated that it shared 99% similarity with Paenibacillus polymyxa. The growth of GT2-E on LB medium was observed at 15°C, 28°C, 37°C, and 45°C, but not at 4°C. GT2-E isolate could be grown even in the presence of agrochemicals (Amister, Blasin and Kasumin). Furthermore, the growth of X. oryzae pv. oryzae was inhibited by the culture filtrate of GT2-E isolate in disk diffusion method. However, the inhibitory activity of the culture filtrate was heat-unstable. This result suggested that GT2-E isolate can produce heat-unstable inhibitory compound(s). In conclusion, GT2-E isolate might contribute to the development of a new bactericide and biological agent against rice bacterial leaf blight.

In this investigation a simple method developed by introducing spin to Schrodinger equation to study the relativistic hydrogen atom. By separating Schrodinger equation to radial and angular parts, we modify these parts to the associated Laguerre and Jacobi differential equations, respectively. Bound state Energy levels and wave functions of relativistic Schrodinger equation for Hydrogen atom have been obtained. Calculated results well matched to the results of Dirac’s relativistic theory. Finally the factorization method and supersymmetry approaches in quantum mechanics, give us some first order raising and lowering operators, which help us to obtain all quantum states and energy levels for different values of the quantum numbers n and m.

Oxaliplatin is a novel platinum compound with clinical activity against several solid tumors. It has been associated with sensory neuropathies and, rarely, a neuromyotonia-like hyperexcitability syndrome;a form of peripheral neuropathy manifested by tremor and twitching activity of muscles. We present a case of hyperexcitability syndrome developed during the treatment of stage III appendiceal adenocarcinoma with oxaliplatin-containing regimen and was successfully treated with Pregabalin.

Three quinolinone alkaloids, two acridone alkaloids and a flavones glycoside were isolated from the aerial parts of Glycosmis mauritiana. These compounds were characterized as 7, 8-Dimethoxy-2,2,6-trimethyl-pyrano quinolin-5-one, 4-Methoxy 1-methyl quinolin-2-one, 6-Hydroxy N-methyl 2,3-furo-quinolin-4-one, 1-Hydroxy-10-methyl acridone, 1- Hydroxy-2, 3-dimethoxy-10-methylacridin-9-one and Luteolin-4'-O-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-{α-L-rhamnopyra- nosyl-(1→6)}-β-D-glycopyranoside]. The isolated compounds were characterized by UV, IR and N. M. R (1H, 13C) studies.

We investigate the impact of Ni insertion on the structural,optical,and magnetic properties of Ba_(0.8)La_(0.2)Fe_(12-x)Ni_(x)O_(19)hexaferrites(Ni substituted La-BaM hexaferrites).Samples were prepared using the conventional co-precipitation method and sintered at 1000℃for 4 hours to assist the crystallization *** analysis of the structure of the samples was carried out using an x-ray diffraction(XRD)*** M-type hexagonal structure of all the samples was confirmed using XRD *** lattice parameters a and c were found to be in the ranges of 5.8925±0.001 nm–5.8952±0.001 nm and 23.2123±0.001 nm–23.2219±0.001 nm,*** M-type hexagonal nature of the prepared samples was also indicated by the presence of corresponding FT-IR bands and Raman modes in the FT-IR and Raman spectra,*** results confirmed the successful synthesis of the samples according to the required stoichiometric ratio.A UV-vis spectrometer was used to record the absorption spectra of the prepared samples in the wavelength range of 200 nm–1100 *** optical energy bandgap of the samples was found to be in the range of 1.21 eV–3.39 *** M–H loops of the samples were measured at room temperature at an applied magnetic field range of 0 kOe–60 kOe.A high saturation magnetization of 99.92 emu/g was recorded in the sample with x=0 at a microwave operating frequency of 22.2 *** high value of saturation magnetization is due to the substitution of La3+ions at the spin-up(12k,2a,and 2b)*** Ni substitution is proven to be a potential candidate for the tuning of the optical and magnetic parameters of M-type ***,we suggest that the prepared samples are suitable for use in magneto-optic applications.
