There are quintillions of data on deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)and protein in publicly accessible data banks,and that number is expanding at an exponential *** scientific fields,such as bioinformatics and drug discovery,rely on such data;nevertheless,gathering and extracting data from these resources is a tough *** data should go through several processes,including mining,data processing,analysis,and *** study proposes software that extracts data from big data repositories automatically and with the particular ability to repeat data extraction phases as many times as needed without human *** software simulates the extraction of data from web-based(point-and-click)resources or graphical user interfaces that cannot be accessed using command-line *** software was evaluated by creating a novel database of 34 parameters for 1360 physicochemical properties of antimicrobial peptides(AMP)sequences(46240 hits)from various MARVIN software panels,which can be later utilized to develop novel ***,for machine learning research,the program was validated by extracting 10,000 protein tertiary structures from the Protein Data *** a result,data collection from the web will become faster and less expensive,with no need for manual data *** software is critical as a first step to preparing large datasets for subsequent stages of analysis,such as those using machine and deep-learning applications.

Risk factors for congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction in children under two years of age

·AIM:To identify various risk factors that may play a significant role in the development of congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction(CNLDO).·METHODS:This observational case-control study included a case group of 122 children less than two years of age with CNLDO who underwent probing and irrigation treatment at the ophthalmology department of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ahvaz,Iran,from June 2022 to June2024.A control group of 122 age-matched children without CNLDO was also included for *** was collected from the children's medical records.·RESULTS:The study found a significant correlation between the occurrence of CNLDO and several maternal factors,such as preeclampsia,the use of levothyroxine,hypothyroidism,having more than three pregnancies(gravidity>3),natural pregnancy,and gestational diabetes ***,in children,factors,such as oxygen therapy,anemia,reflux,jaundice,and a family history of CNLDO in first-degree relatives were associated with CNLDO,and maternal preeclampsia and hypothyroidism were found to significantly increase the risk of developing CNLDO in children.·CONCLUSION:Given that CNLDO affects both premature and full-term children,the present findings may potentially facilitate the early identification of children and infants at risk of nasolacrimal duct obstruction,thereby preventing the onset of chronic dacryocystitis.

The Long-Range Wide Area Network(LoRaWAN)is one of the used communication systems that serve and enables the deployment of the Internet of Things(IoT),which occasionally transmit small size *** part of the Low Power Wide Area Network(LPWAN),LoRaWAN is characterized by its ability for low power *** addition,it is built to provide more extended coverage and higher capacity with minimum *** this paper,we investigate the feasibility and scalability of LoRaWAN for the Mina area using a realistic network ***,known as the world’s largest tent city,is a valley located in the east of Makkah city and surrounded by *** accommodates up to 3 million pilgrims annually and contains more than 100000 *** performance was evaluated based on a fire detection-like *** simulations were conducted using the OMNeT++simulator and Flora model to determine the delivery ratio,collision,and SF distribution for the simulated sce-nario with a network consisting of up to ten thousand end *** conducted simulations show a promising result for LoRaWAN technology for Mina *** showed a consistent performance for LoRaWAN in most simulated scenarios when a high success ratio was achieved.

Design of an Executable ANFIS-based Control System to Improve the Attitude and altitude Performances of a Quadcopter Drone

Nowadays,quadcopters are presented in many life applications which require the performance of automatic takeoff,trajectory tracking,and automatic ***,researchers are aiming to enhance the performance of these vehicles through low-cost sensing solutions and the design of executable and robust control *** to high nonlinearities,strong couplings and under-actuation,the control design process of a quadcopter is a rather challenging ***,the main objective of this work is demonstrated through two main *** first is the design of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)controller to develop the attitude and altitude of a *** second is to create a systematic framework for implementing flight controllers in embedded systems.A suitable model of the quadcopter is also developed by taking into account aerodynamics *** show the effectiveness of the ANFIS approach,the performance of a well-trained ANFIS controller is compared to a classical proportional-derivative(PD)controller and a properly tuned fuzzy logic *** controllers are compared and tested under several different flight conditions including the capability to reject external *** the first stage,performance evaluation takes place in a nonlinear simulation ***,the ANFIS-based controllers alongside attitude and position estimators,and precision landing algorithms are implemented for executions in a real-time *** precision landing systems,an IR-camera is used to detect an IR-beacon on the ground for precise *** flight tests of a quadcopter are conducted for results *** simulations and experiments demonstrated superior results for quadcopter stability in different flight scenarios.

A Duty Cycle-Based Gateway Selection algorithm for LoRaWAN Downlink Communication

Long Range Wide Area Network(LoRaWAN)has been developed to meet the requirements for the enormous device-to-device communication of Inter-net of Things(IoT)networks,which consist of a large number of participating devices spread over large coverage areas with low data rates and low power *** supports communications in both directions,uplink,and downlink ***,the downlink communication in the current LoRaWAN raises the bottleneck issue at gateways due to the used gateway selection *** paper proposes a novel gateway selection algorithm based on the duty cycle time-off values for the existing gateways,Duty Cycle Gateway Selection(DCGS),to direct acknowledgment packets as downlink traffic towards the most suitable ***,the proposed system avoids subsequent retransmission of previously sent traffic that leads to excessive traffic overloading the *** proposed system avoids exhausting a gateway duty cycle with downlink traffic by distributing the downlink traffic among available gateways based on the duty cycle time *** is evaluated using FloRa and INET frameworks in the well-known network simulator OMNeT++.The result shows the superior perfor-mance of the proposed approach over the existing Signal-to-Noise ratio(SNR)based selection *** clearly indicates that the DCGS maintains a better confirmed packet delivery rate while reducing number of retransmissions,colli-sions,and power consumption.

Epileptic Seizures Diagnosis Using Amalgamated Extremely Focused EEG Signals and Brain MRI

There exists various neurological disorder based diseases like tumor,sleep disorder,headache,dementia and *** these,epilepsy is the most common neurological illness in humans,comparable to *** is a severe chronic neurological illness that can be discovered through analysis of the signals generated by brain neurons and brain Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Neurons are intricately coupled in order to communicate and generate signals from human *** to the complex nature of electroencephalogram(EEG)signals and MRI’s the epileptic seizures detection and brain related problems diagnosis becomes a challenging *** based techniques and machine learning models are continuously giving their contributions to diagnose all such diseases in a better way than the normal process of *** performancemay sometime degrade due to missing information,selection of poor classification model and unavailability of quality data that are used to train the models for better *** research work is an attempt to epileptic seizures detection by using amulti focus dataset based on EEG signals and *** key steps of this work are:feature extraction having two different streams i.e.,EEGusingwavelet transformation along with SVD-Entropy,and MRI using convolutional neural network(CNN),after extracting features fromboth streams,feature fusion is applied to generate feature vector used by support vector machine(SVM)to diagnose the epileptic *** the experimental evaluation and results comparison with the current state-of-the-art techniques,it has been concluded that the performance of the proposed scheme is better than the existing models.

Improved Software Implementation for Montgomery Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem

The last decade witnessed rapid increase in multimedia and other applications that require transmitting and protecting huge amount of data streams *** such applications,a high-performance cryptosystem is compulsory to provide necessary security *** curve cryptosystem(ECC)has been introduced as a considerable ***,the usual sequential implementation of ECC and the standard elliptic curve(EC)form cannot achieve required performance ***,the widely used Hardware implementation of ECC is costly option and may be not *** research aims to develop a high-performance parallel software implementation for *** achieve this,many experiments were performed to examine several factors affecting ECC performance including the projective coordinates,the scalar multiplication algorithm,the elliptic curve(EC)form,and the parallel *** ECC performance was analyzed using the different factors to tune-up them and select the best choices to increase the speed of the *** results illustrated that parallel Montgomery ECC implementation using homogenous projection achieves the highest performance level,since it scored the shortest time delay for ECC *** addition,results showed thatNAF algorithm consumes less time to perform encryption and scalar multiplication operations in comparison withMontgomery ladder and *** multi-threading technique was adopted to implement ECC computations in *** proposed multithreaded Montgomery ECC implementation significantly improves the performance level compared to previously presented parallel and sequential implementations.
