A sensitivity analysis and multi-objective optimization to enhance ethylene production by oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane in a membrane-assisted reactor

Owing to the importance of process intensification in the natural gas associated processes, the present contribution aims to investigate the production of an important natural gas downstream product in an improved ***, a membrane-assisted reactor for the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane is presented. The presented system includes a membrane for axial oxygen dosing into the reaction side. Such a strategy would lead to optimum oxygen distribution along the reactor length and prevention of hot spot formation as well. A feasibility study is conducted by developing a validated mathematical model composed of mass and energy balance equations. The effects of various operating variables are investigated by a rigorous sensitivity ***, by applying the genetic algorithm, a multi-objective optimization procedure is implemented to obtain the optimum operating condition. Considerable increase in the ethane conversion and ethylene yield are the advancements of membrane-assisted oxidative dehydrogenation reactor working under the optimum *** than 30% increase in the ethane conversion is obtained. Furthermore, the ethylene yield is enhanced up to 0.45.

The electronic and magnetic properties of strontium hexa-ferrite(SrFe12O19)are studied in pure state(SrFe12O19)and with dopant in the positions 2 and 3 of Fe atoms(SrGdFe11O19-I and SrGdFe11O19-Ⅱ,respectively)by utilizing a variety of the density functional theory(DFT)approaches including the Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof generalized gradient approximation(PBE-GGA)and GGA plus Hubbard U parameter(GGA+U).The pure SrFe12O19 is a hard magnetic half-metal with an integer magnetic moment of 64.00μB,while using the GGA+U functional,the magnetic intensity increases,resulting in a magnetic semiconductor with a high integer magnetic moment of 120μ*** doping the Gd atom in the two different positions of Fe,the magnetic moment is increased to 71.68μB and 68.00μB,*** magnetic moment increases and remains an integer;hence,SrGdFe11O19-Ⅱcan be very useful for application in magnetic ***,applying the Hubbard parameter turns SrGdFe11O19-I and SrGdFe11O19-Ⅱto magnetic semiconductors with a magnetic moment of 124μB,and the energy gap of both doped structures at spin down is found to be less than the pure *** studying the electronic density diagram of the atoms of the crystal,it is found that the major effect to create magnetization in the pure case is due to the Fe ***,in the doped case,the elements Gd and Fe have the highest moment in the crystal respectively.

Small parasitic Hemipteran insects known as bedbugs(Cimicidae)feed on warm-blooded mammal’s *** most famous member of this family is the Cimex lectularius or common *** current paper proposes a novel swarm intelligence optimization algorithm called the Bedbug Meta-Heuristic Algorithm(BMHA).The primary inspiration for the bedbug algorithm comes from the static and dynamic swarming behaviors of bedbugs in *** two main stages of optimization algorithms,exploration,and exploitation,are designed by modeling bedbug social interaction to search for *** proposed algorithm is benchmarked qualitatively and quantitatively using many test functions including *** results of evaluating BMHA prove that this algorithm can improve the initial random population for a given optimization problem to converge towards global optimization and provide highly competitive results compared to other well-known optimization *** results also prove the new algorithm's performance in solving real optimization problems in unknown search *** achieve this,the proposed algorithm has been used to select the features of fake news in a semi-supervised manner,the results of which show the good performance of the proposed algorithm in solving problems.

A derivative of thiazole（AAT） has been explored as a sensing material for preparation a selective Lu（III） PVC-based membrane *** proposed sensor exhibits a Nernstian response over a wide concentration range from 1.0×10^（-6） to 1.0×10^（-1） mol/L of Lu（Ⅲ） and the detection limit is 5.7×10^（-7） mol/*** sensor response is independent of pH of the solution in the range 3.2-8.8 and possesses the advantages of fast response time（～6） and in particular,good selectivity to the lutetium ions with regard to most common metal ions,and especially all lanthanide ions.

In the present work,plastic deformation mechanisms were initially tailored by adjusting the deformation temperature in the range of 0 to 200℃ in AISI 304L austenitic stainless steel,aiming to optimize the strength-ductility *** was shown that the combined twinning-induced plasticity(TWIP)/transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP)effects and a wider strain range for the TRIP effect up to higher strains by adjusting the deformation temperature are good strategies to improve the strength-ductility synergy of this metastable stainless *** this regard,by consideration of the observed temperature-dependency of plastic deformation,the controlled sequence of TWIP and TRIP effects for archiving superior strength-ductility trade-off was intended by the pre-designed temperature jump tensile ***,the optimum tensile toughness of 846 MJ/m^(3) and total elongation to 133% were obtained by this strategy via exploiting the advantages of the TWIP effect at 100℃ and the TRIP effect at 25℃ at the later stages of the ***,a deformation-temperature-transformation(DTT)diagram was developed for this metastable ***,based on work-hardening analysis,it was found that the main phenomenon constraining further improvement in the ductility and strengthening was the yielding of the deformation-induced α′-martensite.

A simple and selective method using a column packed with graphene oxide（GO） as a solid phase extractant has been developed for the multi-element preconcentration of Fe（Ⅲ）,Ni（Ⅱ）,Cu（Ⅱ） and Zn（Ⅱ）ions prior to flame atomic absorption spectrometric *** method is based on the sorption of mentioned ions on synthesized GO using 2-（tert-butoxy）-N-（3-carbamothioylphenyl）acetamide as a chelating *** parameters on the extraction and complex formation were *** the optimized conditions（pH 6,flow rate 9 mL/min）,metal ions were retained on the column,then quantitatively eluted by HNO3solution（5 mL,3.0 mol/L）.The preconcentration factor was calculated *** detection limits for the analyte ions of interest were found in the range of 0.11 ng/mL（Ni2＋） to0.63 ng/mL（Cu2＋）.The column packed with GO was adequate for metal ions separation in matrixes containing alkali,alkaline earth,transition and heavy metal ions.

An environmentally benign oxygenation protocol was developed for selective oxidation of some types of aromatic and aliphatic sulfides in good to excellent yields utilizing 34% hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by simple heteropolyoxometalates in normal drinking water at room temperature. The catalysts could be recovered and reused for at least seven reaction cycles under the described reaction conditions without considerable loss of reactivity. This procedure introduced a new insight into the use of simple heteropolyanions as recoverable catalysts for the oxidation of organic sulfides by an environmentally acceptable protocol. Keywords
