Skin cancer,a prevalent malignancy worldwide,poses significant health concerns owing to its increasing ***,a natural cellular process,is a pivotal event in skin cancer and has advantageous and detrimental *** duality has prompted extensive investigations into medical interventions targeting autophagy modulation for their substantial therapeutic *** systematic review aimed to investigate the relationship between skin cancer and autophagy and the contribution and mechanism of autophagy modulators in skin *** outlined the effectiveness and safety of targeting autophagy as a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of skin *** comprehensive review identified a diverse array of autophagy modulators with promising potential for the treatment of skin *** of these compounds demonstrates efficacy through distinct physiological mechanisms that have been elucidated in ***,findings from a literature search indicated that none of the natural,synthetic,or semisynthetic compounds exhibited notable adverse effects in either human or animal ***,this review offers novel mechanistic and therapeutic perspectives on the targeted modulation of autophagy in skin cancer.

How to manage rheumatoid arthritis according to classic biomarkers and polymorphisms？

OBJECTIVES： Single nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs）, genetic background, and epigenetics play important roles in rheumatoid arthritis （RA）. These factors can be useful in RA diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response evaluation, particularly with the growing trends in personalized medicine. Therefore, categorizing classic genes and SNPs in RA can present an appropriate guideline for RA management. DISCUSSION： Prognostic and diagnostic biomarkers play important roles in RA diagnosis and treatment. Categorizing SNPs is not an easy process yet, but selecting classic SNPs can be useful worldwide, according to basic similarities that exist in genomes. In this review, we compiled some of these RA-associated SNPs and biomarkers in a table, according to newly identified factors. The role of epigenetics in RA is undeniable; using epigenetic biomarkers like histone deacetylase （HDACs） can be useful in RA diagnosis and treatment, miRs such as miR-146a, miR-155, and miR-222 are useful in diagnosis and can be used in treatment by interfering with other factors＇ functions. Interleukins （ILs） seem to be good prognostic and diagnostic markers and can be targeted in RA treatment. CONCLUSION： Using multiple types of biomarkers, such as useful in RA management and treatment. PTPN22, HLA-DR genes, SNPs, and epigenetic biomarkers like HDACs can be polymorphisms, miRs, and HDACs are considerable in RA susceptibility; hence, they can be valuable biomarkers in future studies. This article gathered separate information from approximately 100 articles to present useful biomarkers and polymorphisms in one review.

Development of donor specific antibodies after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination:What do we know so far?

Vaccination against Coronavirus disease-19(COVID-19)was pivotal to limit spread,morbidity and *** aim is to find out whether vaccines against COVID-19 lead to an immunological response stimulating the production of de novo donor specific antibodies(DSAs)or increase in mean fluorescence intensity(MFI)of pre-existing DSAs in kidney transplant recipients(KTRs).This study involved a detailed literature search through December 2nd,2023 using PubMed as the primary *** search strategy incorporated a combination of relevant Medical Subject Headings terms and keywords:"COVID-19","SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination","Kidney,Renal Transplant",and"Donor specific antibodies".The results from related studies were collated and analyzed.A total of 6 studies were identified,encompassing 460 KTRs vaccinated against *** responses were detected in 8 KTRs of which 5 had increased MFIs,1 had de novo DSA,and 2 were categorized as either having de novo DSA or increased *** were 48 KTRs with pre-existing DSAs prior to vaccination,but one study(Massa et al)did not report whether pre-existing DSAs were associated with post vaccination *** the remaining 5 studies,35 KTRs with pre-existing DSAs were identified of which 7 KTRs(20%)developed de novo DSAs or increased ***,no immunological response was detected in 452(98.3%)*** study affirms prior reports that COVID-19 vaccination is safe for KTRs,especially if there are no pre-existing ***,if KTRs have pre-existing DSAs,then an increased immunological risk may be *** findings need to be taken cautiously as they are based on a limited number of patients so further studies are still needed for confirmation.

Wet-cupping therapy(WCT)is one of the oldest known medical techniques,used as a traditional and complementary therapy with a wide application all around the world for general *** on the effects of WCT on sports performance are sparse and ***,we aimed to explore the effects of WCT on repeated sprint ability,wellness,and exertion in young active ***-nine active adult males(age:[28±5]years;body height[177±8]cm;body mass:[79±7]kg;body mass index:[25.4±1.8]kg/m^(2))were selected for the *** participants performed a running-based sprint test on two separate occasions(Control and Post-WCT).WCT was performed 24 h before the testing *** completed the Hooper questionnaire to assess their well-being(i.e.,sleep,stress,fatigue,and soreness)before each *** rating of perceived exertion(RPE)was collected after each testing session.A higher maximum power(p<0.05,effect size[ES]=0.6),mean power(p<0.01,ES=0.5)and minimum power(p<0.01,ES=0.6)were recorded post-WCT as compared to Control session along with a better perceived sleep(p<0.01,ES=0.85).Perceived stress(p<0.01,ES=0.6)and RPE(p<0.001;ES=1.1)were lower during the post-WCT compared to the Control *** present findings demonstrated that WCT moderately enhanced repeated sprint ability and had positive effects on perceived sleep,stress,and *** may be an effective ergogenic aid to improve repeated sprint ability and general wellbeing in young adult *** large-scale multicentric clinical studies are paramount to confirm the results of our study.

AIM：To investigate the clinical outcomes of different intubation techniques in the cases of failed primary ***： This retrospective study was performed on338 patients with the diagnosis of congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction with age 1-4y that had failed primary *** was performed under light sedation in operating room and the stent was left 3mo in *** outcome was investigated 3mo after tube ***： Bicanalicular intubation method had higher complete and relative success rates compared to monocanalicular intubation（P =0.00）.In addition,Monoka intubation had better outcomes compared to Masterka technique（P =0.046）.No difference was found between genders but the higher the age,the better the outcomes with bicanalicular technique rather than ***： Overall success rate of bicanalicular intubation is superior to monocanalicular technique especially in older ***,based upon our clinical outcomes,Masterka intubation is not recommended in cases of failed probing.

Threatening biomarkers in lupus pregnancy： Biochemistry and genetic challenges

OBJECTIVES： Using genetic markers and miRs work strongly beside other sensitive biomarkers in lupus management during sensitive period of pregnancy. METHOD： PubMed and Google Scholar databases were searched from 2000 to 2017 using the terms ＂lupus,＂＂lupus pregnancy, biomarkers,＂＂micro-RNA,＂＂polymorphisms,＂＂anti-phospholipid antibodies,＂ and ＂cluster differentiation markers,＂ DISCUSSION： Complement is a valuable biomarker in lupus pregnancy. However, the complement profile has ambiguous meaning because decreased levels of C3 and C4 reflect inflammation and because they are also prognostic biomarkers for abortion. Furthermore, increased C3 and C4 levels indicate hepatic protein synthesis in hepatocytes. Anti-phospholipid （APL） antibodies are present in 25% to 50% of lupus patients, and can lead to thrombotic and obstetric complications in some pregnancies and increase the risk of abortion, especially in a pregnant woman in the active phase of lupus. Several studies have associated APL with HELLP syndrome. However, other pregnancy complications have not been associated with APL. Autoantibodies against the major vault protein and anti-double strand DNA antibodies are valuable biomarkers in evaluating lupus activity. The expression pattern ofmicro-RNAs （miRs） differs in various diseases. Current studies have demonstrated the potential of miRs as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in various diseases; for example, the level of miR-126 is higher in lupus. CONCLUSION： miR-223-3p and miR-451 are informative biomarkers in estimating disease activity. TWEAK, BAFF, and APOL1 genes, and their polymorphisms are informative in estimating disease activity, especially renal effects, and in monitoring higher-risk pregnant women. Further studies of these genes and their relevant polymorphisms are needed.

Allometric relationship for estimating above-ground biomass of Aegialitis rotundifolia Roxb. of Sundarbans mangrove forest, in Bangladesh

Tree biomass plays a key role in sustainable management by providing different aspects of ecosystem. Estimation of above ground biomass by non-destructive means requires the dex;elopment of allometric equations. Most researchers used DBH （diameter at breast height） and TH （total height） to develop allometric equation for a tree. Very few spe- cies-specific allometric equations are currently available for shrubs to estimate of biomass from measured plant attributes. Therefore, we used some of readily measurable variables to develop allometric equations such as girth at collar-height （GcH） and height of girth measuring point （GMH） with total height （TH） for A. rotundifolia, a mangrove species of Sundarbans of Bangladesh, as it is too dwarf to take DBH and too ir- regular in base to take Girth at a fixed height. Linear, non-linear and logarithmic regression techniques were tried to determine the best re- gression model to estimate the above-ground biomass of stem, branch and leaf. A total of 186 regression equations were generated from the combination of independent variables. Best fit regression equations were determined by examining co-efficient of determination （R：）, co-efficient of variation （Cv）, mean-square of the error （Ms^r）, residual mean error （Rmax）, and F-value. Multiple linear regression models showed more efficient over other types of regression equation. The performance of regression equations was increased by inclusion of GMn as an independ- ent variable along with total height and GCH.

Epidemiological, Clinical, Therapeutic, and Evolutionary Aspects of Heart Failure in the Medical Department at Gao Regional Hospital

Introduction: Heart failure is a major public health pandemic, particularly in Africa, where its prevalence continues to increase. In northern Mali, few data exist, hence the interest of this study with the objective of studying the epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic and evolutionary aspects of Heart failure at the regional hospital of Gao. Patients and Methods: This was a cross-sectional, descriptive study that took place from July 2022 to June 2023 in the medical department at Gao Hospital. Results: The hospital prevalence of heart failure was 44.1%. The mean age was 47.30 ± 20 years (range: 16-88). Hypertension was the most common with 46.1%, followed by a sedentary lifestyle, and diabetes with 18.2% and 8.3% respectively;NYHA stage III-IV dyspnea was found in 83.9%. Reduced EF heart failure was present in 110 patients (76.9%), seventeen cases with moderately reduced EF (11.9%) and sixteen patients had preserved EF (11.2%). Global heart failure was the dominant (91.6%). The main etiologies of heart failure were dominated by hypertensive heart disease in 46 patients (32.2%), followed by postpartum cardiomyopathy with 43 cases (30.1%), primary dilated cardiomyopathy in 18 patients (12.6%), ischemic heart disease in 16 patients with 11.2%. Seven cases of valvular heart disease, or 4.9%. The evolution was favorable under treatment in 104 patients or 72.7%. In-hospital mortality was 14.7%. Conclusion: Heart failure is a common condition in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in our country.

Intention to Use Mobile Augmented Reality in the Tourism Sector

This article examines the main variables that influence the intention to use Augmented Reality(AR)applications in the tourism sector in *** study model has been constructed based on the unified theory of acceptance and the use of technology2(UTAUT2),by incorporating a new construct(aesthetics)to explore the usage intention of Mobile Augmented Reality in Tourism(MART).A questionnaire was used and distributed to a sample of 450 *** were analyzed using the Smart PLS version *** testing 12 hypotheses.29 measurement items were carefully reviewed based on previous studies that were selected to assess the research *** findings revealed that the proposed model elucidates 35.7%of the variance in the users’intention to use *** results also showed that both performance expectancy and aesthetics were found to be the most significant factors at level(0.001).Four variables,respectively,were at level(0.01)which consisted of social influence,facilitating conditions,hedonic motivation,and price *** weakest effect was effort expectancy at level(0.05).As the use of AR has become important for tourists,this study establishes a research base that can be built upon for future *** developers can benefit from the results of this research to design and deliver this service successfully and to ensure that its adoption by users is achieved.
