Currently,one of the critical issues in the world is finding an appropriate green alternative to fossil fuels due to the concerns about global *** a hydrogen source,formic acid has been given particular attention owing to the attractive features such as highenergy density,no toxicity,high stability at ambient temperature and high hydrogen *** an affordable and highly efficient catalyst with easy recovery from the reaction mixture for selective dehydrogenation of formic acid is still *** this report,we used a simple onestep process to synthesize Ni@Pd core shell nanoparticles on 3aminopropyltriethoxysilane modified Fe3O4 *** existence of Ni and Pd results in a synergic effect on the catalytic ***—NH2 groups play an important role for obtaining welldispersed ultrafine particles with high surface area and active *** addition,Fe3O4 lead to convenient magnetic recovery of the catalyst from reaction *** results indicate that the asprepared catalyst give the superb turnover frequency of 5367.8 h 1 with no additive,which is higher than most of the previously reported catalysts.

In order to evaluate the effects of blocking patterns on the duration of frost waves across Iran,the minimum daily temperatures of 60 weather stations were collected from 20 March 1968 to 21 June *** findings,which were obtained based on the distribution tables of reported temperatures and their frequency variation graphs,resulted in identifying 114 frost *** obtained the daily weather maps at 500 hPa from NCEP/NCAR during the peak days of durable frosts,and it was revealed that the formation of low pressures over 20°-70°E and the dominant southwest-northeast troughs at 500 hPa facilitated the influx of cold air from both eastern Europe and central Siberia toward Iran,leading to the average frost duration of 12.4 ***,low-pressure centers appeared in a dipole pattern in northern Iran over Caspian Sea and created durable frosts with an average duration of 15.4 *** effect of omega shaped pattern of the geopotential height on durable frosts demonstrated a sharp difference with two recent patterns leading to the frost occurrence with a 13.3-day duration ***,the slow speed of cold western currents in the rex type of blocking from 30°to 50°N caused durable frosts of 14.3 ***,we found a specific reduction in the frequency of blocking patterns,which has occurred in the past four ***,the blocking and non-blocking patterns cause long-and short-duration frosts over Iran,respectively.

In this study, microstructural evolution of Mg–Ni alloy during mechanical alloying（MA） was ***, a thermodynamic approach was utilized to predict the most stable phases formed in Mg–Ni alloy after MA. The phase composition and microstructural properties of Mg–Ni alloy were assessed by X-ray diffractometry, high-resolution field emission scanning electron microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that ball milling of magnesium and nickel powder mixture for 70 h yields nanostructural Mg2Ni compound with an average grain size of ~20 nm. Thermodynamic calculations revealed that in the composition ranges of 0.0 ／ XMg／ 0.03（at.%）and 0.97 ／ XMg／ 1, there is no driving force for amorphous phase formation. In the composition range of 0.07 ／ XMg／ 0.93, the change of Gibbs free energy for amorphous phase formation was more negative than solid *** for XMg= 0.66（nominal composition of Mg2Ni intermetallic phase）, the change of Gibbs free energy for intermetallic phase was found to be more negative than both amorphous and solid solution phases indicating that Mg2Ni intermetallic compound is the most stable phase, in agreement with the experimental observations.

The Late Cretaceous Khabr-Marvast tectonized ophiolite is located in the middle part of the Nain-Baft ophiolite belt, at the south-western edge of the central Iranian microcontinent. Although all the volcanic rocks in the study area indicate subduction-related magmatism （e.g. high LILE （large ion lithophile elements） / HFSE （high field strenght elements） ratios and negative anomalies in Nb and Ta）, geological and geochemical data clearly distinguish two distinct groups of volcanic rocks in the tectonized association：（1） group 1 is comprised of hyaloclastic breccias, basaltic pillow lavas, and andesite sheet flows. These rocks represent the Nain-Baft oceanic crust; and （2） group 2 is alkaline lavas from the top section of the ophiolite suite. These lavas show shoshonite affinity, but do not support the propensity of ophiolite.

In this context, a novel structure was proposed for improving harmony search （HS） algorithm to solve the unit comment （UC） problem. The HS algorithm obtained optimal solution for defined objective function by improvising, updating and checking operators. In the proposed improved self-adaptive HS （SGHS） algorithm, two important control parameters were adjusted to reach better solution from the simple HS algorithm. The objective function of this study consisted of operation, start-up and shut-down costs. To confirm the effectiveness, the SGHS algorithm was tested on systems with 10, 20, 40 and 60 generating units, and the obtained results were compared with those of the simple HS algorithm and other related works.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the medical outcome study human immunodeficiency virus(MOS-HIV)health survey among people living with HIV or acquired immune deficiency syndrome(HIV/AIDS) in Iran is our main goal in this ***: The MOS-HIV questionnaire was translated into Persian using backward translation and the Persian version was filled by 100 HIV infected patients. Reliability of the questionnaire was estimated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the total questionnaire and for each dimension. Convergent, discriminant and construct validity were performed. Comparisons were performed between the subscales of the questionnaire in Iran and some other countries with ***: The overall Cronbach's alpha in this study was 0.90 and the range of this coefficient was from 0.71 to 0.86 across the subscales with two exceptions, general health perception and role functioning, which were at 0.65 and 0.61. Convergent and discriminant validity were excellent in all domains. The two factor confirmatory factor analysis showed a good fit based on standardized estimates of factor loading, incremental and absolute fit ***: The Persian version of the MOS-HIV had good reliability and validity in measuring health related quality of life in people living with HIV in Iran. Furthermore, quality of life for HIV infected patients was very low in comparing with the people in some other countries.

Tick-borne pathogens in Iran:A meta-analysis

Objective:Different studies have been performed on the prevalence of tick-borne pathogens in different areas of Iran;however,as far as our knowledge,there is no regional meta-analysis available for consideration and estimation of tick species infected with different pathogens in ***:In this review,among different databases,a total of 95 publications were included,and the infection of different tick species to different tick-borne pathogens was determined;furthermore,presence of pathogens(with 95%confidence intervals)in tick vectors was calculated separately for each province,using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis version 2(Biostat,USA).Results:Totally,among all 95 studies,5673 out of 33521 investigated ticks were positive according to different detection *** estimated presence of pathogens in tick vectors in Iran was 8.6%(95%CI 7.0%-10.6%,P<0.001).Of all 46 species of ticks in 10 genera in Iran,28 species in 9 genera,including Alveonasus,Argas,Boophilus,Dermacentor,Haemaphysalis,Hyalomma,Ixodes,Ornithodoros,and Rhipicephalus were infected with at least 20 pathogens in 10 genera including Aegyptianella,Anaplasma,Babesia,Borrelia,Brucella,Orthonairovirus[CrimeanCongo hemorrhagic fever virus(CCHFV)],Coxiella,Ehrlichia,Rickettsia and Theileria in 26 provinces of *** presence of pathogens in ticks collected in western Iran was more than other *** anatolicum(20.35%),Rhipicephalus sanguineus(15.00%),and Rhipicephalus bursa(14.08%)were the most prevalent infected ticks for different *** addition,most literatures were related to CCHFV and Theileria/Babesia ***:Public health and veterinary professionals should be aware of diagnosing possible diseases or outbreaks in vertebrates.
