First Principles Study of Half-metallic Properties at MnSb/GaSb（001） Interface

Density functional theory calculations are performed to study the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of hexagonal NiAs type and cubic zinc blende type MnSb structure and interface of zinc blende MnSb with GaSb（001）. We used generalized gradiant approximation to calculate the exchange-correlation term in bulk and interface determination. The zinc blende structure of MnSb is found to be ferromagnetic half-metal with a total moment of 4 μB per formula unit. Results show that the half-metallicity character is preserved at MnSb/GaSb（001） interface. The magnetic moment of Mn atom in interface is reduced and the magnetic moment of the interface Sb atom is equal to the average of the corresponding bulk values in two sides of the interface. The band alignment properties are also computed and a rather large minority valance band offset of about 1.25 eV is obtained in this heterojunction.

Direct extraction of Mo(Ⅵ) from sulfate solution by synergistic extractants in the rotation column

Direct extraction of molybdenum from sulfate solution with synergistic extractants(mixture of D2EHPA and TBP)was studied in the rotation *** influence of extractant concentration and initial pH of aqueous phase was studied in the bench scale *** outcomes demonstrated that the synergistic solvent extraction enhances the constancy of the extracted complexes for transfer into the organic *** the continuous experiments,the effect of different operating parameters such as speed of agitation,inlet solvent flow rate and inlet aqueous flow rate on the holdup,mean drop size,drop size distribution,slip and characteristic velocities and extraction percentage were *** correlations were proposed for prediction of hydrodynamic parameters with consideration of reaction extraction condition in the rotation ***,these correlations were compared with the experimental *** to the results,the direct extraction of Mo(Ⅵ)from aqueous solution and sulfuric media with extraction efficiency of 90.4%was obtained at higher rotor speed(240 r·min–1 rpm)in this column.

Numerical study of influence of hydraulic fracturing on fluid flow in natural fractures

The hydraulic fracturing operation is highly complex in fractured *** fundamental key to a successful operation is processing and analysis of the propagation of hydraulic fracturing in a natural fracture *** this paper,the hydraulic fracturing process is evaluated in a fractured reservoir in southwest *** developing process of induced fracture in a natural fracture network is analysed by the Distinct Element Method(DEM).After determining the fluid flow regime in the natural fractures of the reservoir,hydraulic fracturing is applied along different lengths of the reservoir and in each range,the production rate is *** flow in natural fractures after the hydraulic fracturing operation is shown and evaluated in order to evaluate the induced fracture effectiveness in enhancing fluid flow regimes in the *** reverse suction phenomenon which causes changes in the fluid flow pattern in fractures and will thus affect the production rate is also studied in this *** coalescence will cause the induction of natural fractures to hydraulically fracture without their intersection;this is one of the significant parameters in hydraulic fracturing in naturally fractured reservoirs which is also discussed in *** paper can present valuable information on fluid flow analysis before and after applying hydraulic fracturing in a fractured reservoir and solve some essential ambiguities in this area.

Optimization of micropropagation and <i>Agrobacterium</i>-mediated gene transformation to spinach (<i>Spinacia oleracea</i>L.)

Spinach is one of the dioecious plant which is considered as a model plant in genetic and molecular studies of sex determination because of its special characteristics such as low chromosome number and short life cycle. An efficient protocol for Spinacia oleracea Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation was developed. The leaf disks, roots, hypocotyls and cotyledons of this plant were inoculated with LBA4404. LBA4404 carrying pCAMBIA3301 binary vector with 35SCaMV gusint and 35SCaMV bar cassettes. Effects of two preparation condition (induction of vir genes and noninduction) were considered. Also effects of different number days of co-cultivation and pre-culture of explants were examined. After co-cultivation, the explants were transferred to regeneration medium containing 250 mg·L-1 Carbeniciline. Transient expression efficiency was calculated based on the number of blue spots per explants one week after inoculation. Based on the results of transient expression, stable transformation was carried out. After formation of callus the histochemical GUS assay was carried out on some parts of them and other parts were leaved for being regenerated.
