The 21st Century is all about technology. People are open to accepting new technologies as the need for modernization is increasing every single day. Blockchain is one of those new and revolutionary technologies that will have a significant impact on the market and industry. In layman’s terms, Blockchain is a data structure that stores transactional records while also ensuring security, transparency, and decentralization. There is a digital signature on every transaction on a blockchain, which proves the authenticity of the blockchain. In a Blockchain, data is stored which is tamper-proof and cannot be changed as it uses encryption and digital signatures. To change a record on a blockchain, one needs to change several records, and one needs to change the distributed ledger. That’s why it’s quite impossible to change the data which has already been entered into a Blockchain. The Blockchain is a technology that will allow transactions simply, safely, effectively, and also safely. This is a very promising technology. It’s already in a lot of places. It can also solve any problem in the banking sector. This technology became famous after introducing the first cryptocurrency, which is known as bitcoin. Right now, there is a huge problem with banking, and the Blockchain can solve these problems. This paper will demonstrate transacting over a secure, blockchain-based network and therefore eliminate the need for intermediary entities. This paper is a review-based paper that provides the application and opportunities of the Blockchain in the banking system. The purpose of this paper is to provide a review of the application and opportunities of the Blockchain for a secure banking system. In this review investigation and analysis of this paper at the beginning, related work from other authors in the same fields has been discussed. The purpose of this study was to develop a tool for community-based health organisations(CBHOs)to evaluate the preparedness in biohazards concerning epidemics or *** searched concepts on partnerships of CBHOs with health systems in guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and ***,we validated the researcher-made tool by face validity,content validity,exploratory factor analysis(EFA),confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)and criterion *** were collected by sending the tool to 620 CBHOs serving under supervision of Iran’s ministry of *** of health professionals and stakeholders in CBHOs were used to assess face and content *** loads in EFA were based on three-factor structure that verified by *** used SPSS V.18 and Mplus7 software for statistical *** 105 health-based CBHOs *** conducting face validity and calculating content validity ratio and content validity index,we reached 54 items in the field of planning,training and *** conducted construct validity using 105 *** items exchanged between the fields according to factor loads in EFA,and CFA verified the model fit as Comparative Fit Index,Tucker-Lewis index and root mean square error of approximation were 0.921,0918 and 0.052,*** Cronbach’s of the whole tool was *** correlation coefficient confirmed criterion validity as coefficient was ***,training and infrastructure fields are the most important aspects of preparedness in health-based *** the new assessment tool in future studies will show the weaknesses and capabilities of health-based CBHOs in biohazard and clear necessary intervention actions for health authorities.

Calcium Hydroxide in Endodontics: An Overview

Background: Calcium hydroxide has been used in dentistry since several decades. It has been used in a number of applications in the field of endodontics such as root resorption, intracanal medicament, and root canal sealers. Although this material exhibits several advantages, it also has some limitations. Objectives: To review the role of calcium hydroxide in the field of endodontics, focusing on its mechanism of action, antimicrobial effects, different applications, cytotoxicity or biocompatibility, and its removal from the root canals. Materials and Methods: An electronic search was done using different databases. Out of 2,664 articles, only 33 articles have been selected to be included in this review because they are directly related to the topic and matched the inclusion criteria of this review: “Language: English” and “Year: 2000-2016”. Results: The antimicrobial effect of calcium hydroxide is controversial. Although some studies supported the effectiveness of calcium hydroxide against some bacteria others reported its limitation against fungal infection. Calcium hydroxide can be used effectively as intracanal medicament, root canal sealer, in weeping canals, for perforation management and root resorption. Conclusions: Despite the limitation of antimicrobial activity of calcium hydroxide, it is used effectively in a number of treatment modalities in endodontics. Due to its biological and therapeutical properties, calcium hydroxide is the material of choice for all pulp therapy. However, when using calcium hydroxide as a dressing material in root canal treatment caution should be taken to prevent the overextension of the paste beyond the tooth apex and avoid the harmful side effects.

Statistical Debugging Effectiveness as a Fault Localization Approach: Comparative Study

Fault localization is an important topic in software testing, as it enables the developer to specify fault location in their code. One of the dynamic fault localization techniques is statistical debugging. In this study, two statistical debugging algorithms are implemented, SOBER and Cause Isolation, and then the experimental works are conducted on five programs coded using Python as an example of well-known dynamic programming language. Results showed that in programs that contain only single bug, the two studied statistical debugging algorithms are very effective to localize a bug. In programs that have more than one bug, SOBER algorithm has limitations related to nested predicates, rarely observed predicates and complement predicates. The Cause Isolation has limitations related to sorting predicates based on importance and detecting bugs in predicate condition. The accuracy of both SOBER and Cause Isolation is affected by the program size. Quality comparison showed that SOBER algorithm requires more code examination than Cause Isolation to discover the bugs.

Monitoring Water Quality in Ballona Lagoon, Los Angeles, California: Nitrate Level Fluctuation in Low and High Tide Condition

The coastal wetland, Ballona Lagoon in Southern California has experienced degradation and size reduction due to urbanization. This study analyzes nitrate concentrations in the lagoon to identify contamination sources and assess its impact. The study includes determining nitrate levels during high and low tides during wet and dry seasons, establishing concentration gradients, and examining the relationship between salinity and nitrate concentrations. The nitrate concentrations were found to be higher in locations closer to the head of the lagoon, particularly in urbanized areas, suggesting land-based sources during the dry season’s high tide (S2: 2.37 mg/l;S3: 3.85 mg/l;S4: 3.91 mg/l). Findings highlight the importance of managing nitrate contamination near urban areas. Monitoring nitrate levels over time are crucial for sustainability efforts. This research emphasizes the need for long-term monitoring and conservation strategies to mitigate nitrate contamination in Ballona Lagoon.

Vasodilator response to <i>Psidium guajave</i>leaves of mesenteric bed vessels from diabetic and non-diabetic rats

Mortality from cardiovascular abnormalities is almost three times more prevalent in the diabetic population than that in the general population. Psidium guajave has been used traditionally for a long time as a medicinal herb to cure diabetes. Endothelial dependent vasorelaxation effect of Psidium guajave extract on normal aortic rings was observed. This study was designed to investigate the endothelium and nitric oxide roles inPGE-induced vasorelaxation in diabetic rat vessel. Diabetes was induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin. Eight weeks later, superior mesenteric arteries of non-diabetic and diabetic groups were isolated and perfused according to the McGregor method. Prepared vascular beds were constricted with phenylephrine to induce 70% - 75% of maximal constriction. Psidium guajave extract at concentrations of 0.1 to 4 mg/100ml added to the medium and perfusion pressure was recorded. Baseline perfusion pressure of diabetic group was significantly higher than non-diabetic rats in both intact and denuded endothelium. Psidium guajave extract caused a significantly dose depended decrease in perfusion pressure in non-diabetic and diabetic groups in both intact and denuded endothelium. In the presence of N (ω)-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester, Psidium guajave ex-tractinduced relaxation in intact mesenteric beds of non-diabetic and diabetic animals was not suppressed. From the results of this study, it may be concluded that vasorelaxatory effect of Psidium guajave extract is not mediated by endothelium and nitric oxide in both diabetic and non-diabetic vessel and supports the use of the plant’s leaves as a natural, adjunct phytomedicine in the management of diabetes vessel complications.

Study of the effects of natural toothbrush (<i>Salva-dora persica</i>) in prevention of dental caries and plaque index

Background: Nowadays, though more attention is being paid to oral and dental hygiene all over the world, dental caries and periodontal diseases are increasing daily. We decided to study the effectiveness of natural toothbrush in prevention of dental caries and plaque formation. Methods: This analytic, semi-experimental clinical trial included 390 individuals. Subjects were divided into 3 groups: using natural toothbrush, using artificial toothbrush and using both natural and artificial toothbrush. The plaque index and DMFT was assessed at the beginning of the study until 1 year. ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis, LSD, Paired t-test, chi square, Fisher exact and Mc-Nemar tests were used for data analysis. Results: The plaque index in all three groups showed a mean reduction of 0.71. The mean DMFT in the samples before intervention was 8.38 ± 4.14 and increased to 9.1 ± 4.56. At the end of the study, the lowest plaque index was observed in the group using both the natural and artificial methods. During one year follow-up, the plaque index decreased 1.16, 0.83, and 0.21 degrees in the first, second and third groups. Conclusion: The increase in DMFT in the group that used artificial toothbrush was more than other groups. Thus, use of natural toothbrush leads to a decrease in growth rate of DMFT. Therefore natural toothbrush can be used for the cleaning of teeth and prevention of dental caries.

Expression of TTV-ORF2 Protein for Detection of Anti-TTV IgG Antibodies in Human Sera

The present study describes the cloning and expression of ORF-2 region of TTV genome and the use of expressed peptide in developing immunoassay for detection of anti-TTV antibodies in serum. Presence of TTV-DNA in serum was detected by PCR amplifying N-22 region of ORF-1 of TTV genome. This was followed by genotyping of TTV by RFLP using N-22 amplicon. Using genotype-1 positive serum as the source of TTV, the ORF-2 region was amplified by PCR and subsequently cloned and expressed in pET-19b vector. The expressed protein, identified as 20 kDa protein on SDS-PAGE gel, was purified by affinity chromatography and then used as antigen to develop western blot assay for detection of anti-TTV antibodies in serum. Analysis of sera for anti-TTV antibodies and their comparison with presence of TTV-DNA, produced encouraging results. There was a good relation between presence of anti-TTV and TTV-DNA in these sera samples. Anti-TTV antibodies could be detected in all TTV-DNA positive sera irrespective of the presence of TTV-genotype. This investigation demonstrates that ORF-2 peptide may be used in developing immunoassay for identification of TTV infection.

Development of Quality Parameters for Yogurt with Strawberry Juice

In this research, we improve the quality parameter of prepared yogurt using different levels (5%, 10%, and 15%) of strawberry juice. We investigated different organoleptic, chemical and microbiological quality characteristics. We found that plain yogurt is clearly better than 15% strawberry juice yogurt while 5% strawberry juice yogurt is almost as like as the plain yogurt. Acceptance of 10% strawberry juice yogurt is between 5% and 15%. We note that the organoleptic characteristics decrease with the addition of strawberry juice level. Analyzed chemical composition showed that strawberry juice incorporation increases the moisture content and acidity from 0% to 15% as strawberry juice contains higher moisture content (90.329%) and acidity (1%) than collected milk which contains 87.15% moisture content and 0.19% acidity. On the other hand, ash and fat content decreases as strawberry juice contains low ash (0.311%) and fat (1.64%) content than collected milk which contains 0.74% ash and 4.36% fat. Thus, nutritional quality decreases with the addition of strawberry juice. After performing the microbiological tests, it was recommended to consume the samples before the 5th day. We also found that various types of microbial (TPC, TCC, TFC) counts decline due to the high acidity of strawberry juice.
