Antimony smelting activities damage the soil and vegetation surroundings while generating economic ***,no standardizedmethods are available to diagnose the extent of soil degradation at antimony smelting *** study developed a standardized framework for assessing soil quality by consideringmicrobial-induced resilience and heavymetal contamination at Xikuangshan antimony smelting *** soil resilience index(SRI)and soil contamination index(SCI)were calculated byMinimum Data Set and geo-accumulation model,*** standardized by a multi-criteria quantitative procedure of modified Nemerow’s pollution index(NPI),the integrated assessment of soil quality index(SQI),which is the minimumof SRINPI and SCINPI,was *** results showed that Sb and As were the prominent metal(loid)pollutants,and significant correlations between SQI and SRI indicated that the poor soil quality was mainly caused by the low level of soil *** primary limiting factors of SRI were Fungi in high andmiddle contaminated areas,and Skermanella in low contaminated area,suggesting that the weak soil resilience was caused by low specific microbial *** regulation and phytoremediation are greatly required to improve the soil quality at antimony smelting sites from the perspectives of pollution control and resilience *** study improves our understanding of ecological effects of antimony smelting sites and provides a theoretical basis for ecological restoration and sustainable development of mining areas.

The focus of this study is on investigating the vanadyl 2,9,16,23-tetraphenoxy-29H, 31H-phthalocyanine(VOPc Ph O)and its blend with o-xylenyl C60 bis-adduct(OXCBA), for use as a lateral ultraviolet organic photodetector. The research focuses on improving dark current reduction, which is a challenge in lateral organic photodetector. By integrating the OXCBA, low dark current values of 4.83 nA·cm^(-2)(D_(shot)^(*)= 1.414 × 10^(11)Jones) have been achieved as compared to the stand-alone VoPcPhO device of 14.06 nA·cm^(-2). The major contributing factors to dark current reduction are due to the efficient charge transfer at the photoactive-electrode interface, the deep highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)level of OXCBA, which leads to favorable energy level alignments hindering hole injection, and the occurrence of bulk heterojunction vertical phase segregation between VOPcPhO and OXCBA. These findings shed light on the relationship between the organic photoconductor's material composition, morphology, and performance metrics and open new avenues for metal phthalocyanine-based lateral ultraviolet organic photodetectors with low dark current and enhanced performance.

The oxidative desulfurization(ODS) process is one of the new desulfurization processes for the production of clean fuels. Despite the benefits of the ODS process, this process faces several important challenges. One of the most important challenges of this process is the management of a waste which is rich of sulfone *** the present study, a new strategy which is the addition of waste to the bitumen with other solid waste such as high density polyethylene(HDPE) waste has been investigated. The experimental design method was applied to investigate the effect of addition of the sulfone and HDPE wastes to the properties of the bitumen blends including degree of penetration, softening point, and mass loss. It was found that the sulfone waste can be added to the bitumen as a softener. The results showed that several grades of bitumen including 50/60, 60/70, 85/100 can be produced through the addition of sulfone waste along with the HDPE waste to the base 60/70 *** general, the application of simple processes such as mixing the wastes with the bitumen can reduce the cost of waste management, considerably.

This study reports the successful so nochemical synthesis of novel Fe3O4/SiO2/ZnO-Pr6O11(Fe/Si/Zn-Pr6O11) nanocomposites using fructose as a green capping *** influence of various parameters containing capping agent,power and time of ultrasound irradiation was investigated to reach optimum morphology and size *** products obtained were characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),UV/Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS),Fourier transform infrared spectra(FT-IR),vibration sample magnetometer(VSM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis(EDS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The Fe3O4/SiO2/ZnO-Pr6O11 nanocomposites display remarkably enhanced photocatalytic activity towards rhodamine b degradation(89.6%)and Congo red(84.7%) under UV irradiation compared with the other *** results illustrate that the photocatalytic efficiency of magnetic nanocomposites is very much higher than pure *** photocatalyst still has good stability after five successive ***,these recyclable nanocomposites can play a role in the treatment of both industrial and domestic contaminated water.

The granitic rocks around the Utla area（Gadoon）, north western, Pakistan are studied in terms of their petrographic features and geochemical characteristics. Although predominantly mega-porphyritic, some of the Utla granites are massive and display fine-grained equi-granular texture. Some of the mega-porphyritic varieties exhibit foliation and seem to be restricted to shear zones. In addition to being distributed largely as phenocrysts, all the essential minerals（plagioclase, perthitic alkali feldspar and quartz） also constitute the groundmass. The studied samples also contain minor to accessory amounts of tourmaline, muscovite and biotite and accessory to trace amounts of apatite, andalusite, garnet, zircon, monazite, epidote and sphene. A detailed geochemical investigation reveals a calc-alkaline and peraluminous character of the Utla granites. The peraluminous character and total lack of hornblende designate their S-type character while a volcanic arc or syn-collisional tectonic setting for their emplacement is indicated by discrimination diagrams. Further examination shows that the melt parental to the Utla granite was derived from a plagioclase-poor, clay-rich rock, i.e., pelite. The petrogenetically significant petrographic and geochemical features of the Utla granite show greater similarity with the Mansehra than the Ambela granites. These include（i） the predominantly megaporphyritic texture,（ii） the presence of andalusite and tourmaline,（iii） the calc-alkaline geochemical signature and（iv） an indication of similar melt source rock character.

Objective:To explore the relationship between Hashimoto's autoimmune hypothyroidism(HT)and male fertility,focusing on hormonal and seminal ***:A systematic literature search was conducted across databases such as PubMed,Web of Science,EMBASE,Scopus,Cochrane,and Google Scholar,covering studies published from January 2000 to March *** investigating the impact of HT on semen quality parameters and reproductive hormones were *** effect estimates were calculated using standard mean difference(SMD)and 95%confidence intervals(CI).Results:A total of 8 studies with 8965 participants were *** significantly affected semen quality and reproductive hormone ***,there was a notable decrease in progressive morphology(SMD=-0.78;95%CI:-1.40 to-0.17;P=0.01)and sperm motility(SMD=-1.151;95%CI:-1.876 to-0.425;P=0.002).In addition,there were no significant changes in reproductive hormones,although there were elevated levels of luteinizing hormone(SMD=0.437;95%CI:0.000 to 0.874;P=0.050)and follicle-stimulating hormone(SMD=0.293;95%CI:-0.171 to 0.758;P=0.216),with a slight impact on testosterone levels(SMD=-1.143;95%CI:-2.487 to 0.200;P=0.095).Conclusions:This systematic review and meta-analysis provides robust evidence of the detrimental effects of HT on semen quality and reproductive hormones,underscoring the necessity for thorough evaluation and management of thyroid function in male infertility assessments.
