A two-dimensional vertical(2DV),Eulerian two-phase model or complete two-fluid model of the free surface flow was developed to simulate water-sediment flow in a local scour *** the model,the complete forms of the vertical,two-dimensional,two-fluid Navier-Stokes equations were discretized using a finite volume *** discretization was done based on a standard staggered grid system using a curvilinear network system in compliance with the bed boundaries and water *** the beginning of the computational cycle,the equations governing the fluid phase were solved based on the two-step projection method with a pressure-correction *** the first step,the intermediate fluid velocities were obtained by solving different phases of the mome ntum equatio ns of the fluid phase using the time-splitting *** the second step,pressure was obtained and fluid velocities we re *** this step a simple discretization method was applied for decreasing the computational *** obtaining all the fluid phase variables at a new time step,the sediment phase momentum equations were solved using the time-splitting technique and sediment velocities were ***,at the end of the computational cycle,the sediment phase mass equation was solved and the concentrations of both phases were *** last,the capacity of the model for simulating of the longitudinal fluid velocity and sediment concentration in a local scour hole was *** results were found to be in good agreement with experimental data.

Microbiome is an endocrine organ that refers to both the complicated biological system of microbial species that colonize our bodies and their genomes and *** studies confirm the connection between the microbiome and eye diseases,which are involved in the pathogenesis of eye diseases,including age-related macular disorders,diabetic retinopathy,glaucoma,retinitis pigmentosa,dry eye,and *** aim of this review is to investigate the microbiome in relation to eye ***,a brief introduction of the characteristics of the gut microorganisms terms of composition and work,the role of dysbiosis,the gut microbiome and the eye microbiome in the progression of eye illnesses are highlighted,then the relationship among the microbiome and the function of the immune system and eye diseases,the role of inflammation and aging and the immune system,It has been reviewed and finally,the control and treatment goals of microbiome and eye diseases,the role of food factors and supplements,biotherapy and antibiotics in relation to microbiome and eye health have been reviewed.

Human resources are a key source of sustainable competitive advantage and are considered as one of the substantial factors for an organization's *** organization can survive without its human *** employees'needs,desires,and satisfaction is *** managers consider financial and non-financial compensation for employees'*** is a need for a practical look at the field of nursing service compensation,especially in the healthcare *** this study,the factors affecting nursing service compensation in the selected private hospitals in Iran were initially identified and confirmed using the exploratory and confirmatory factor *** three major factors are empowerment components,organizational components,and financial ***,the driver factors(causes)and dependent factors(effects)in the nursing service compensation system were investigated and their relationships were determined using the fuzzy DEMATEL ***,these factors were ranked using the best-worst(BWM)*** results of BWM indicate that financial components gained the top-ranked,followed by organizational components,and empowerment components.

The effects of postweld heat treatment on the microstructure and metallurgical properties of a bronze–carbon steel(st37)explosively bonded interface were *** welding was done under 1.5-and 2-mm standoff distances and different conditions of explosive *** were postweld heat treated for 4 and 16 h in the furnace at 250°C and 500°C and then air *** studies using optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,and microhardness testing were used to evaluate the welded *** examinations showed that by increasing the standoff distance and the explosive charge,the interface of bronze to steel became *** microhardness test result showed that the hardness of the samples was higher near the joint interface compared with other areas because of the intensive plastic deformation,which was caused by the explosion *** results show that increasing the heat treatment temperature and time caused the intermetallic compounds’layer thickness to increase,and,because of the higher diffusion of copper and tin,the iron amount in the intermetallic compounds ***,because of the increase in heat treatment temperature and time,internal stresses were released,and the interface hardness decreased.

The demand to satisfy environmental and economic performance requirements of buildings highlights the application of the responsive skin facades in offering superior performance,as compared to conventional faç*** this respect,responsive skins have become a growing field of research during the recent decade while a thorough review of studies investigating their design and technology aspects is still *** fill the identified gap,this study aims to present a systematic literature review and state of the art in an untouched research area of the responsive skins,integrated with their geometric and mechanism design *** this end,a total of 89 studies,collected from two major bibliographic databases of Scopus and Google Scholar from the first of 2010 to the mid of 2021,were reviewed and several classifications and analyses on the associated design thinking,skin systems and responsive mechanisms were *** gap analysis of the findings indicates that the lack of controllable substitution design for mechanical skins is one of the reasons preventing the application of responsive skins in construction ***,the gap between simulation and constructability and the relationship between the designed skin geometry with climatic analysis and performance provide basis for future studies.

A courtyard is an architectural design element which is often known as microclimate modifiers and is responsible to increase the indoor occupant comfort in traditional architecture. The aim of this study is to conduct a parametric evaluation of courtyard design variants in a residential building of different climates with a focus on indoor thermal comfort and utility costs. A brute-force approach is applied to generate a wide range of design alternatives and the simulation workflow is conducted by Grasshopper together with the environmental plugins Ladybug and Honeybee. The main study objective is the evaluation of the occupant thermal comfort in an air-conditioned residential building, energy load, and cost analysis, derived from different design variables including courtyard geometry, window-to-wall ratio, envelope materials, heating, and cooling set-point dead-bands, and building geographical location. Furthermore, a Deep Learning model is developed using the inputs and outputs of the simulation and analysis to transform the outcomes into the algorithmic and tangible environment feasible for predictive applications. The results suggest that regarding the thermal loads, costs, and indoor thermal comfort index (PMV), there are high correlations between the outdoor weather variation and dead-band ranges, while in extreme climates such as Singapore, courtyard spaces might not be efficient enough as expected. Finally, the highly accurate deep learning model is also developed, delivering superior predictive capabilities for the thermal comfort and utility costs of the courtyard designs.

AIM: To investigate the associations of hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotype with HBeAg and anti-HBe status, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels and HBV-DNA detection in different groups of HBV-infected patients in southwest Iran. METHODS: A total of 89 HBsAg-positive serum samples were collected from the same number of patients. All sera were then investigated to determine HBV DNA and serological markers. For all the polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-positive samples, biochemical, histopathological assays and genotyping were also performed. RESULTS: Genotype D was the only type of HBV foundin different clinical forms of acute and chronic infections. There was a high prevalence of HBeAg-negative HBV- infected patients with chronic hepatitis (52.7%). Out of 55 patients with chronic hepatitis, seven (12.7%) were diagnosed with cirrhosis. A significant association between the presence of anti-HBe antibody and an increase in ALT level, among either HBeAg-negative (P = 0.01) or HBeAg-positive (P = 0.026) patients, was demonstrated. No significant differences were observed between the clinical outcomes of HBeAg-positive and -negative individuals (P = 0.24). CONCLUSION: Genotype D has been recognized as the only type of HBV found in different clinical forms of HBV infections, including cirrhosis, among the residents of southwest Iran. Anti-HBe possibly plays a role in disease progression in some patients with chronic hepatitis, at least for a period of disease.

Synthesis of aluminum nitride in a coke – calcium reduction bed using nitrogen in air

An experimental study on the heating of a mixture of aluminum and lithium hydroxide （LiOH） powders in a reductive bed under air atmosphere is reported. The formation of aluminum nitride （A1N） during this process was the focus of this study. The formation of A1N was achieved using LiOH as an additive and heating the sample in a resistance furnace in a specially designed double crucible within a bed of a mixture of coke and filamentous calcium. The temperature range of the reaction was between 700℃ and 1100℃. The optimum temperature of 1100℃ and the optimum LiOH amount （Swt%） required to achieve maximum yield were determined by powder X-ray diffraction （XRD） analysis. Scanning electron microscopy （SEM） micrographs clearly indicated the transformation of grain structures from rods （700℃） to cauliflower shapes （1100℃）.
