Lithium-Doped CuO Nanosheets:Structural Transformation,Optical,and Electrical Characteristics with Enhanced Photocatalytic and Solar Cell Performance

Energy and environmental stuff are two of the main worries for humanity,and nanoscience plays a key role in providing the *** nanoresearch activities have attracted lot of attention in the current ***,designing the material with enhanced optoelectronic properties remains the foremost *** the present work,the Li doped CuO nanosheets are synthesized by the chemical route and examined in photovoltaics and environmental remediation *** crystallographic and optical study reveals that crystallite size and bandgap decrease with an increase in lithium-doping concentration up to 5 mole%and beyond that a reverse trend is ***,impedance study has shown the significant contribution of lithium-ions to the total capacitance and ***,the photoactivity of Cu_(1-x)Li_(x)O nanosheets(optimum concentration of Cu_(1-x)Li_(x)O NSs(x=0.05))is projected to the degradation of methylene blue(MB)and used to fabricate bulk heterojunction solar cell together with P3HT and PCBM blend,*** ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3 HT:PC_(70)BM:Cu_(1-x)Li_(x)O(x=0.05)/Li F/Al solar cell realized higher power-conversion efficiencyη~3.91 than their corresponding pristine deviceη~2.98 with enhanced photocurrent density from 9.026 to 11.56 m A cm^(-2).The proliferation in photocatalysts and solar cells efficiency of Cu_(1-x)Li_(x)O(x=0.05)is mainly attributed to the higher light absorption and lesser electron-hole *** approach for the synthesis of Cu_(1-x)Li_(x)O NSs as potential donor material and device prototypes fabricated is completely safe and cost-effective.

Comparative Study on Bactericidal Effect of Silver Nanoparticles, Synthesized Using Green Technology, in Combination with Antibiotics on Salmonella Typhi

In this work bactericidal study of silver nanoparticles was taken up in combination with two standard antibiotics, ampicillin and gentamycin, for Salmonella Typhi. The antibacterial activities of antibiotics were increased in the presence of AgNPs against test strains. The higher enhancing effect was observed for ampicillin in comparison to gentamicin against test strains. Silver nanoparticles were synthesized elctrolytically using silver wire of 99% purity as anode and carbon rod wrapped with LDPE as cathode. Silver nitrate [of Merck] of 0.01N is used as an electrolyte. Here tea extract is added as capping and mild reducing agent. The polyphenols theaflavins and thearubigins, present in tea perform the role of stabilizing or capping agents due to their bulky and steric nature. A brown coloured colloidal solution of silver nanoparticles is obtained. The as-synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized using XRD, TEM and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

Cadmium(Cd)and Mercury(Hg)is among the heavy metals most hazardous for plant and human *** to induce oxidative stress in plants and disbalance equilibrium in the antioxidant defence system,these metals alter plant growth and cause damage at the cellular and molecular *** is an important oilseed crop that is raised in soils often contaminated by Cd and *** comparative studies on the deleterious effect of Cd and Hg and the defence system of antioxidants were not studied earlier in soybean *** this study,soybean plants were exposed to Cd(100μM CdCl_(2))and Hg(100μM HgCl_(2))and studied for physiological,biochemical and molecular *** Cd and Hg treatment increased the magnitude of oxidative *** of antioxidant enzymes were significantly upregulated in response to Cd and Hg *** and qualitative assessment of isolated RNA showed significant differences in RNA under *** values of RNA confirmed *** level of the Actin gene,involved in the morphogenesis of plants and also used as referenced gene in expression studies was analyzed using qRT-PCR just to check its stability and response under heavy metal *** showed significant upregulation of the gene in the presence of *** can be concluded that both Cd and Hg caused oxidative damage to plants,and adversely affected the quality of ***,soybean tried to limit the adverse impacts of Cd and Hg stress by elevating the antioxidant system and upregulating Actin gene.

Comparative Study of Synergistic Effects of Antibiotics with Triangular Shaped Silver Nanoparticles, Synthesized Using UV-Light Irradiation, on <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i>and <i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i>

In the present work, a comparative study of antibacterial activity and synergistic effects of triangular silver nanoparticles in combination with two standard antibiotics is discussed for Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A green route was developed to synthesise silver nanoparticles in which silver oxalate was taken as precursor, black tea leaves extract as surfactant and chitin as a stabilizing agent. A grey coloured colloidal solution of silver nanoparticles was obtained which was characterized by using various techniques like X-ray diffractometer (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and UV-visible spectroscopy. Anti-bacterial studies gave approximately equal inhibition zones for both the combinations which states that silver nanoparticles are to be equally effective and synergistic effects were clearly observed in case of P. aeruginosa.

The main aim of this article is to obtain certain Laurent type hypergeometric generating relations. Using a general double series identity, Laurent type generating functions(in terms of Kampéde Fériet double hypergeometric function) are derived. Some known results obtained by the method of Lie groups and Lie algebras, are also modified here as special cases.

Defending Adversarial Examples by a Clipped Residual U-Net Model

Deep learning-based systems have succeeded in many computer vision ***,it is found that the latest study indicates that these systems are in danger in the presence of adversarial *** attacks can quickly spoil deep learning models,e.g.,different convolutional neural networks(CNNs),used in various computer vision tasks from image classiﬁcation to object *** adversarial examples are carefully designed by injecting a slight perturbation into the clean *** proposed CRU-Net defense model is inspired by state-of-the-art defense mechanisms such as MagNet defense,Generative Adversarial Net-work Defense,Deep Regret Analytic Generative Adversarial Networks Defense,Deep Denoising Sparse Autoencoder Defense,and Condtional Generattive Adversarial Network *** have experimentally proved that our approach is better than previous defensive *** proposed CRU-Net model maps the adversarial image examples into clean images by eliminating the adversarial *** proposed defensive approach is based on residual and U-Net *** experiments are done on the datasets MNIST and CIFAR10 to prove that our proposed CRU-Net defense model prevents adversarial example attacks in WhiteBox and BlackBox settings and improves the robustness of the deep learning algorithms especially in the computer visionﬁ*** have also reported similarity(SSIM and PSNR)between the original and restored clean image examples by the proposed CRU-Net defense model.

In this paper we consider Hibi rings and Rees rings attached to a poset. We classify the ideal lattices of posets whose Hibi relations are indispensable and the ideal lattices of posets whose Hibi relations form a quadratic Grobner basis with respect to the rank lexicographic order. Similar classifications are obtained for Rees rings of Hibi ideals.

In this paper,we propose Triangular Code(TC),a new class of fountain code with near-zero redundancy and linear encoding and decoding computational complexities of OeLklog kT,where k is the packet batch size and L is the packet data *** from previous works where the optimal performance of codes has been shown under asymptotic assumption,TC enjoys near-zero redundancy even under non-asymptotic settings for smallmoderate number of *** features make TC suitable for practical implementation in batteryconstrained devices in IoT,D2D and M2M network paradigms to achieve scalable reliability,and minimize latency due to its low decoding *** is a non-linear code,which is encoded using the simple shift and XOR addition operations,and decoded using the simple back-substitution *** it is nonlinear code at the packet level,it remains linear code when atomized at the bit *** use this property to show that the backsubstitution decoder of TC is equivalent to the Belief Propagation(BP)decoder of LT ***,TC can benefit from rich prolific literature published on LT code,to design efficient code for various *** the equivalency between the decoders of TC and LT code,we show that compared to state-of-the-art optimized LT code,TC reduces the redundancy of LT code by 68%-99% for k reaching 1024.

This work presents a flexible/unified hardware architecture of Elliptic-curve Cryptography(ECC)and PRESENT for cryptographic *** features of the proposed work are(i)computation of only the point multiplication operation of ECC over GF(2163)for a 163-bit key generation,(ii)execution of only the variant of an 80-bit PRESENT block cipher for data encryption&decryption and(iii)execution of point multiplication operation(ECC algorithm)along with the data encryption and decryption(PRESENT algorithm).To establish an area overhead for the flexible design,dedicated hardware architectures of ECC and PRESENT are implemented in the first step,and a sum of their hardware area is ***,the implementation of the proposed flexible architecture for ECC and PRESENT algorithms is *** results regarding the area,clock cycles,latency,clock frequency,and power after the place-and-route level on Xilinx Virtex-5,Virtex-6,and Virtex-7 FPGA devices are ***,the implementation results and comparisons show that the proposed architecture suits applications demanding flexible implementation of cryptographic applications.
