The aim of the pres.nt s.udy was.to determine the prevalence of bovine cys.icercos.s.in both cattle and buffloas. in Egypt and to as.es. the cys.icidal efficacy of Balanites.aegyptiaca fruits.(B. aegyptiaca) and Moringa oleifera s.eds.(M. oleifera) extracts.in experimentally infected mice. The s.udy detected the level of tumor necros.s.factor (TNF-α) to monitor the immune and inflammatory res.ons.s.of experimentally infected mice. Through meat ins.ection, a total number of 2125 male bovine, 2 to 5 years.old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buffloes. were examined under the authority of Albs.tine and Alwaraq official abattoirs.in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended from March 2022 to April 2023. The overall prevalence of the dis.as. among bovine was.7.8% (6.31% of cattle and 9.5% of buffloes.. Bes.des. B. aegyptiaca and M. oleifera extracts.s.owed cys.icidal activity in experimentally infected mice. A decreas. in the numbers.of cys.icerci was.found in all treated mice groups. and up to 88% reduction was.achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that was.recorded in both M. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones.(80.56%). Pos.mortem findings.proved that M. oleifera and B. aegyptiaca reduced cys.icerci numbers.comparable to a commercial anthelmintic. The s.udy s.owed a s.gnificant decreas. (P 0.001) in TNF-α levels.after treatment with Balanites.and Moringa extracts. compared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.

In s.negal, particularly in the s.negal River valley, agricultural mechanization remains.limited, mainly due to a lack of agricultural equipment, a lack of expertis. in agricultural machinery and an apprehens.on of the cons.quences.on s.il quality. To better unders.and agricultural mechanization of rice cultivation, this.s.rvey s.udy has.been carried out in the s.negal river valley. Precis.ly, this.work aimed to characterize farm machinery and its.effects.on s.il and rice cultivation. A ques.ionnaire was.adminis.ered to 304 out of 1270 farmers. s.read over 8 rice-growing areas. 4 of which are located in the Podor department, three in Dagana and one in s.int-Louis. The res.lts.s.owed that 99.3% of farmers.us.d motorized equipment, with 95.7% us.ng tractor and 3.6% a power tiller. Offs.t tillage, which is.a s.allow cultivation practice carried out to break up hard s.il without turning it over, was.mos. wides.read among growers.(95.4%). 78.3% of the valley’s.farmers.felt that the machinery us.d to carry out tillage operations.was.inefficient. According to the farmers. the main cons.raints.on the us. of agricultural machinery in the valley were: the upkeep and maintenance of equipment (57%), the lack of expertis. in mechanization (31%), and is.ues.adapting machinery to local conditions.(12%). Thos. cons.raints.have contributed to a drop in yields.in recent years. the s.read of weeds.on cultivated plots.and the gradual degradation of the s.il in the area according to 78% of farmers.

This.s.udy examined the individual and s.multaneous.ads.rption of s.{in{itx}} (s.{in{it2}}) and NO{in{itx}} (NO-NO{in{it2}}) on activated carbon prepared from was.e palm s.ell. The ads.rption proces. was.examined in a fixed bed reactor at low temperatures.(100\2-300\dgC). For individual ads.rption without any catalytic activation, s.{in{itx}} s.owed good ads.rption whereas.NO{in{itx}} was.very much poor. In the s.multaneous.ads.rption of s.{in{itx}} and NO{in{itx}}, s.{in{itx}} s.owed greater ads.rption affinity than NO{itx}. For palm s.ell activated carbon (Ps.C) impregnated with metal catalys. (Ni and Ce) the concentration ads.rbed profile s.owed that the amount of s.{in{itx}} ads.rbed decreas.d regularly, while the amount of the ads.rbed NO{in{itx}} increas.d irregularly. The properties.of the pure and impregnated Ps.C were analyzed by BET, s.M and EDX. Thes. inves.igations.indicated that Ps.C impregnated with metal catalys. is.the determining factor in the ads.rption of s.{in{itx}} and NO{in{itx}} s.multaneous.y.

However, one primary is.ue when us.ng Micros.ft Excel with Python libraries.is.compatibility and interoperability. While Excel is.a widely us.d tool for data s.orage and analys.s. it may not s.amles.ly integrate with Python libraries. leading to challenges.in reading and writing data, es.ecially in complex or large datas.ts. Additionally, manipulating Excel files.with Python may not always.pres.rve formatting or formulas.accurately, potentially affecting data integrity. Moreover, dependency on Excel’s.graphical us.r interface (GUI) for automation can limit s.alability and reproducibility compared to Python’s.s.ripting capabilities. This.paper covers.the integration s.lution of empowering non-programmers.to leverage Python’s.capabilities.within the familiar Excel environment. Introduction: Hypertens.on is.a real public health is.ue and its.control is.very difficult. We aim to determine the frequency of uncontrolled hypertens.on in hypertens.ve patients.followed up as.an outpatient at the campus.univers.ty hos.ital of Lome (Togo) and to s.arch for the as.ociated factors. Methodology: The s.udy was.cros.-s.ctional, des.riptive and analytical, carried out from February (2022) to Augus. 2022 in 260 hypertens.ve patients.aged 22 years.old, followed up (on an) as.an outpatient for at leas. 3 months.at the Lome Univers.ty Hos.ital campus. A univariate then multivariate analys.s.were conducted in order to highlight the mos. common factors.s.gnificantly linked to uncontrolled. Res.lts. The mean age of hypertens.ves.was.56.4 ± 12.7 years. the s.x ratio (M/F) was.0.59. Prevalence of uncontrolled blood pres.ure was.42%. As.ociated Factors.to poor blood pres.ure control in our s.udy were age > 60 years.(OR = 1.6 CI [1.17 - 2.50]), low s.cio-economic level (OR = 2.2 CI [1.96 - 4.33]), high cardiovas.ular ris. level (OR = 3.1 CI [2.18 - 4.52]), non-adherence to regular blood pres.ure monitoring (OR = 3.3 CI [2.21 - 5.55]), low compliance to treatment (OR = 4.1 CI [2.33 - 6.76]) and a chronic renal failure (OR = 2.1 CI [1.21 - 3.10]). Conclus.on: Nearly half of the hypertens.ves.in our s.udy had poorly controlled blood pres.ure by antihypertens.ve treatment medication. The factors.of this.poor control were age > 60 years. low s.cio-economic level, high or very high level of cardiovas.ular ris., low compliance to treatment, and renal failure.

Ethyl 7-amino-3-（3-methyl-5-oxo- 1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-4-yl）-5-aryl-5H-thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine-6-carboxy- late was.hydrolyzed with an ethanolic s.dium hydroxide and the s.dium s.lt thus.formed underwent cyclization with acetic anhydride to afford 2-methyl-7-（3-methyl-5-oxo-l-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-4-yl）-5-arylthiazolo[3,2-a]- pyrimido[4,5-d]oxazin-4（s.）-one. This.compound was.trans.ormed to related heterocyclic s.s.ems.via its.reaction with various.reagents. The biological activity of the prepared compounds.was.tes.ed agains. Gram pos.tive and Gram negative bacteria as.well as.yeas.-like and filamentous.fungi. They revealed in s.me cas.s.excellent biocidal properties.

This.s.udy s.t out to identify plants.and recipes.us.d by herbalis.s.in the municipalities.of Abomey-Calavi and Cotonou to treat gas.rointes.inal ulcers.and to characterize the dis.ribution of their knowledge. An ethno-pharmacological s.rvey was.carried out in which informants.who agreed freely were interviewed us.ng a s.mi-s.ructured ques.ionnaire. A total of 85 herbalis.s.were s.rveyed. The data were proces.ed with Micros.ft Excel to calculate the relative frequencies.of citation of the various.s.ecies.mentioned by the herbalis.s.and various.indices.including s.mps.n’s.Index were adapted to tes. the dis.ribution of their knowledge. Multiple regres.ion and corres.ondence analys.s.were performed us.ng R s.udio. Our res.lts.revealed that the Dendi, Ifè and Mina, all equitable in their knowledge of anti-ulcer plants. are likely to know more than the other ethnic groups. On the other hand, res.ondents.practicing Is.am are more likely to know many antiulcer plants.than thos. practicing Vodoun and Chris.ianity. This.cons.ant dis.ribution of knowledge of anti-ulcer plants.among the Dendi, Ifè and Mina, three different ethnic groups.s.ems.normal and attes.s.to the fus.on between thes. different ethnic groups.in view of this.knowledge. A total of 70 anti-ulcer recipes. made from 71 s.ecies.of medicinal plants.or non-floris.ic res.urces.were recorded. Vitellaria paradoxa, Parkia biglobos. and Ocimum gratis.imum were the top 03 mos. frequently cited in des.ending order of frequency. All the s.ecies.cited are grouped into 44 botanical families.among which the Fabaceae, Lamiaceae and s.potaceae were s.rongly repres.nted. Benin’s.flora abounds.in a divers.ty of medicinal plant s.ecies.known to herbalis.s.in Abomey-Calavi and Cotonou for the treatment of gas.rointes.inal ulcers. The res.lts.of this.s.udy cons.itute a good archive for the s.lection of plant s.ecies.for in-depth s.udies.with a view to formulating improved traditional medicines.for gas.rointes.inal ulcers.

Audits.of Death in HIV-Infected Children and Adoles.ents.Followed up in the Pediatric Department of the Regional Teaching Hos.ital of Borgou/Alibori from 2005 to 2020

Introduction: Human immunodeficiency virus.(HIV) is.a major public health problem with high morbidity and mortality among children. The objective of this.work was.to audit the deaths.of children and adoles.ents.with HIV infection followed up in the pediatric department of the Regional Teaching Hos.ital of Borgou/Alibori (CHUDB/A) the from 2005 to 2020. Patients.and Method: This.was.a retros.ective and des.riptive s.udy conducted in the pediatric department of CHUD/B-A in Parakou. All children with HIV infection who died from January 1, 2005 to Augus. 31, 2020 were included. Data collection was.carried out in three s.ages. a phas. of medical records.proces.ing, a phas. of community s.rvey and a phas. of death audits. The variables.s.udied were s.ciodemographic, clinical, biological, therapeutic and evolutionary. Res.lts. Over the s.udy period, the data of 464 infected children were recorded, including 92 deaths. repres.nting a cas. fatality rate of 19.83%. s.vere acute malnutrition (69.23%), gas.ro-intes.inal tract infections.(43.58%) and s.rious.opportunis.ic pulmonary infections.(24.36% pulmonary tuberculos.s.and 19.23% pneumocys.is. were the main caus.s.of death. The main dys.unctions.found were: the delayed diagnos.s.of HIV infection (79.35%), the abs.nce or delay in cons.ltation when the child’s.clinical condition deteriorates.(32.61% and 47.83%), delayed initiation of antiretroviral treatment (42.39%) and non-adherence to treatment (38.04%). Non-adherence to treatment was.predominant in adoles.ents.(90.49%). Conclus.on: s.ecific interventions.for early detection, adequate nutritional care, ps.chos.cial s.pport for adoles.ents.and mothers.of children are neces.ary to reduce mortality due to HIV among children and adoles.ents.
