There are several challenges that hospitals are facing according to the emergency department(ED).Themain two issues are department capacity and lead ***,the lack of consensus on performance criteria to evaluateEDincreases the complication of this ***,this study aims to evaluate the efficiency of the emergency department in 20 Egyptian hospitals(12 private and 8 general hospitals)based on 13 performance *** research suggests an integrated evaluation model assess ED under a framework of plithogenic *** proposed framework addressed uncertainty and ambiguity in information with an efficient manner via presenting the evaluation expression by plithogenic *** Envelopment Analysis(DEA)technique is used in order to measure the efficiency of the emergency department of 20 hospitals according to the number of treated patients and effect on patient’s life quality based on 11 *** the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),the weight of efficiency factors will be measured based on neutrosophic linguistic scale pairwise *** operations provide more accurate aggregation result according to contradiction degree between criteria *** results show that ten of the hospitals are providing efficient service in their emergency department,while the other ten are less *** analysis of the results shows that 58%of private hospitals emergency department is operating efficiently,while the efficient general hospitals represent 38%.

Mineralogy,Chemical Characteristics and Upgrading of Beach Ilmenite of the Top Meter of Black Sand Deposits of the Kafr Al-Sheikh Governorate,Northern Egypt

Egyptian beach ilmenite occurs in a relatively high content in the naturally highly concentrated superficial black sand deposits at specific beach zones in the northern parts of the Nile Delta at Rosetta. Microscopic study shows that the ilmenite occurs as fresh homogeneous black or heterogeneous multicoloured altered grains and exhibits three types （homogeneous, exsolved and altered） of ilmenite varieties. XRD data of ilmenite indicates their association with minor hematite and quartz, whereas leucoxene shows its association with Nb-rutUe, pseudorutile and hematite. Grain size distribution suggests a very fine sand size of 〉89% and 80% and a fine sand size of 10.5% and 18.3% for fresh and altered ilmenites, respectively. The density of fresh, altered ilmenite and leucoxene concentrates varies from 2.70, 2.50 to 2.40 ton/m^3, suggesting a gradual decrease from high grade fresh to leucoxene and consistent with variation in magnetic susceptibility as a consequence of the leaching of iron. Mass magnetic susceptibility reveals 97.6% of ilmenite and 92% of the altered form are obtained at 0.20 and 0.48 ampere. Fresh iimenite exhibits variable TiO2 （47.18%） and Fe2O3^T （46.10%） with minor MnO, MgO and Cr2O3 （1.22, 1.10 and 0.51%）. The altered ilmenite is higher in TiO2 （76.16%） and SiO2 （4.68%） and lower in Fe2O3^T （14.45%）, MnO, MgO and Cr2O3 （0.39, 0.52 and 0.11%） compared with the fresh form. Three concentrates of ilmenites （G1, G2 and G3） were prepared from crude ore using a Reading cross belt magnetic separator under different conditions, revealing a gradual increase of TiO2, SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO accompanied by a decrease of Fe2O3^T, MgO and Cr2O3 with repetition of the separation processes. Several ore dressing techniques were carried out to upgrade the iimenite concentrate.

The Gulf of Suez region is one of the most interesting geothermal areas in Egypt because of the high temperatures of its *** eastern and western shores of the Gulf of Suez are characterized by superficial thermal manifestations including a cluster of hot springs with varied *** of deuterium and oxygen-18 concentrations in thermal waters have been used to aid in describing the source of recharge in the Gulf of Suez hot *** and geochemical data for the Gulf of Suez thermal waters suggest that recharge to the hot springs may not be entirely from the Gulf of Suez water,but possibly from the meteoric water that comes from areas of higher altitude surrounding the hot springs.

Effects of connected and autonomous vehicle merging behavior on mainline human-driven vehicle

Purpose–This study aims to evaluate the influence of connected and autonomous vehicle(CAV)merging algorithms on the driver behavior of human-driven vehicles on the ***/methodology/approach–Previous studies designed their merging algorithms mostly based on either the simulation or the restricted field testing,which lacks consideration of realistic driving behaviors in the merging *** study developed a multi-driver simulator system to embed realistic driving behavior in the validation of merging ***–Four types of CAV merging algorithms were evaluated regarding their influences on driving safety and driving comfort of the mainline vehicle *** results revealed significant variation of the algorithm ***,the results show that the reference-trajectory-based merging algorithm may outperform the social-psychology-based merging algorithm which only considers the ramp ***/value–To the best of the authors’knowledge,this is the first time to evaluate a CAV control algorithm considering realistic driver interactions rather than by the *** achieve the research purpose,a novel multi-driver driving simulator was developed,which enables multi-drivers to simultaneously interact with each other during a virtual driving *** results are expected to have practical implications for further improvement of the CAV merging algorithm.

Molecular analysis of Pasteurella multocida strains isolated from fowl cholera infection in backyard chickens

Objective:To characterize Pasteurella isolated from backyard chickens using whole cell protein lysate profiles and random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD)techniques to show their genetic relationship because Pasteurclla multocida(***)is an important cause of fatal infections in backyard ***:Twenty one *** isolates were recovered previously from clinical cases of fowl cholera belonging to individual owners and phenotypically analysed using biochemical tests and serotyping were used far the genetic ***:Phylogenetic study based on both methods revealed that the recovered population of *** isolated from backyard chickens differs markedly,constituting a well-separated cluster and appearance of 3 distinguishing lineages with greater discrimination shown by RAPDPCR that resulted in two suclusters in cluster A and three subclusters in cluster B and were related greatly with capsular serogroups for the examined *** whole cell protein revealed the presence of dominant protein bands at approximately 41 and 61 kDa in all of the examined isolates that may be a virulent proteins share in the increasing of its *** distinctive bands ranged from 123 to 1534 ***:Based on the previous findings,there are three spreading clusters that may indicate the association of a small number of *** variants with the majority of cases suggesting that certain clones of *** are able to colonue the examined backyard ***,the ease and rapidity of RAPD-PCR support the use of this technique as alternative to the more labour-intensive SDS-PACE system for strain differentiation and epidemiological studies of avian *** application of RAPD technology to the examination of avian cholera outbreaks in commercially available flocks may facilitate more effective management of this disease by providing the potential to investigate correlations of *** genotypes,to identify aff

The present study was to investigate the copepodid species infecting rosy goatfish Parupeneus rubescens,one of the most economically important fishes in the Arabian Gulf.A copepodid species identified from the examined fish specimens belongs to the Taeniacanthidae family and is labeled as Taeniacanthus yamagutii Shiino,1957,mainly depending on its morphological,morphometric,and ultrastructural characteristics,in particular the presence of maxilliped claw with a conspicuous digitiform process at the base,the terminal process of the second maxilla stout,and a setiform element at the tip of each exopod spine of legs *** order to ensure the accurate identification and exact taxonomic characterization of this species,the 28S rRNA gene sequence was *** result revealed that the present copepodid species belong to the Taenicanthidae family and has a close relationship with Taeniacanthus yamagutii(gb|KR048852.1)in the same *** present study demonstrated that the rosy goatfish is a host for Taeniacanthus species,which will be helpful to prevent this parasitic infection.

Biplanar Open-Wedge High Tibial Osteotomy with Locking Plate for Treatment of Osteoarthritic Varus Knee

Aim: To introduce and characterize the modified biplanar opening high tibial osteotomy with rigid fixation to treat unicompartmental knee arthritis with varus deformity in active lifestyle patients. Patients and Method: 48 patients (19 females) with monocompartmental gonarthrosis of the knee combined with varus malalignment, 41 with bilateral affection and 7 cases with unilateral gonarthritis (total 89 knees). Mean age: 53 years (range from 42 to 61 years). They were treated and followed from June 2010 to May 2014 (35 months). Biplanar opening high tibial osteotomy technique was used and fixed by low profile locked T-plate (21 cases) and low profile anatomical proximal tibial plate (27cases). Pre-operative mean varus deformity was 16.5° (9° - 19°). We utilized Lysholm score and Knee Society Score for evaluation of preoperative and follow-up data. Results: The average correction angle was 11.50 ± 2.50° (7° - 19°). Preoperative posterior tibial slope was 8.04° ± 1.30° and at last follow-up 9.15° ± 1.60°, respectively (p = 0.437). The joint space distance increased from 4.05 ± 1.30 mm to 4.83 ± 1.33 mm (p < 0.001). The average time to complete bone union was 14.69 ± 1.5 weeks. There were no cases of delayed union or non-union. No major complications like broken plate, nerve injury, or blood vessel injury occurred. No progression of degenerations developed in the three compartments of the knee at final follow-up. The mean score on the Lysholm-Gillquist knee functional scoring scale was 45.5 ± 21.7 preoperatively, and it improved to 77.0 ± 23.9 (p < 0.001). There was no obvious difference in the range of motion before and after operation. The average knee score improved from 51.19 ± 11.82 to 93.49 ± 5.10. Conclusion: Biplanar opening high tibial osteotomy fixed with locking compression plate gives good results for symptomatic unicompartmental gonarthrosis with genu varum. Also this technique can be applied for medial compartment degeneration of the knee without deformity

Medical Feature Selection Approach Based on Generalized Normal Distribution Algorithm

This paper proposes a new pre-processing technique to separate the most effective features from those that might deteriorate the performance of the machine learning classifiers in terms of computational costs and classification accuracy because of their irrelevance,redundancy,or less information;this pre-processing process is often known as feature *** technique is based on adopting a new optimization algorithm known as generalized normal distribution optimization(GNDO)supported by the conversion of the normal distribution to a binary one using the arctangent transfer function to convert the continuous values into binary ***,a novel restarting strategy(RS)is proposed to preserve the diversity among the solutions within the population by identifying the solutions that exceed a specific distance from the best-so-far and replace them with the others created using an effective updating *** strategy is integrated with GNDO to propose another binary variant having a high ability to preserve the diversity of the solutions for avoiding becoming stuck in local minima and accelerating convergence,namely improved GNDO(IGNDO).The proposed GNDO and IGNDO algorithms are extensively compared with seven state-of-the-art algorithms to verify their performance on thirteen medical instances taken from the UCI *** is shown to be superior in terms of fitness value and classification accuracy and competitive with the others in terms of the selected *** the principal goal in solving the FS problem is to find the appropriate subset of features that maximize classification accuracy,IGNDO is considered the best.

Smart precision agriculture utilizes modern information and wireless communication technologies to achieve challenging agricultural ***,Internet of Things(IoT)technology can be applied to monitor and detect harmful insect pests such as red palm weevils(RPWs)in the farms of date palm *** this paper,we propose a new IoT-based framework for early sound detection of RPWs using fine-tuned transfer learning classifier,namely *** sound sensors,namely TreeVibes devices are carefully mounted on each palm trunk to setup wireless sensor networks in the *** trees are labeled based on the sensor node number to identify the infested ***,the acquired audio signals are sent to a cloud server for further on-line analysis by our fine-tuned deep transfer learning model,i.e.,*** proposed infestation classifier has been successfully validated on the public TreeVibes *** includes total short recordings of 1754 samples,such that the clean and infested signals are 1754 and 731 samples,*** to other deep learning models in the literature,our proposed InceptionResNet-V2 classifier achieved the best performance on the public database of TreeVibes audio *** resulted classification accuracy score was 97.18%.Using 10-fold cross validation,the fine-tuned InceptionResNet-V2 achieved the best average accuracy score and standard deviation of 94.53%and±1.69,*** the proposed intelligent IoT-aided detection system of RPWs in date palm farms is the main prospect of this research work.
