Emerging telemedicine trends,such as the Internet of Medical Things(IoMT),facilitate regular and efficient interactions between medical devices and computing *** importance of IoMT comes from the need to continuously monitor patients’health conditions in real-time during normal daily activities,which is realized with the help of various wearable devices and *** major health problem is workplace stress,which can lead to cardiovascular disease or psychiatric ***,real-time monitoring of employees’stress in the workplace is *** levels and the source of stress could be detected early in the fog layer so that the negative consequences can be mitigated ***,overwhelming the fog layer with extensive data will increase the load on fog nodes,leading to computational *** study aims to reduce fog computation by proposing machine learning(ML)models with two *** first phase of theMLmodel assesses the priority of the situation based on the stress *** the second phase,a classifier determines the cause of stress,which was either interruptions or time pressure while completing a *** approach reduced the computation cost for the fog node,as only high-priority records were transferred to the ***-priority records were forwarded to the *** MLapproaches were compared in terms of accuracy and prediction speed:Knearest neighbors(KNN),a support vector machine(SVM),a bagged tree(BT),and an artificial neural network(ANN).In our experiments,ANN performed best in both phases because it scored an F1 score of 99.97% and had the highest prediction speed compared with KNN,SVM,and BT.

Protectivity of Freeze Dried Inactivated Rift Valley Fever Vaccine

Background: Vaccinations for animals are crucial for food production, animal welfare, public health, and animal health. They are an affordable way to stop animal sickness, increase food production efficiency, and lessen or stop the spread of zoonotic diseases to humans. Animal vaccines that are both safe and efficacious are vital to modern culture. The vaccine should induce a strong, protective and prolonged immune response against the antigenic factor. In order to achieve these goals, novel vaccination techniques and an efficient adjuvant are required to render the vaccine immunogenically protective and trigger a strong immune response. Aim: Our study aims to promote and enhance the immunogenicity against RVF virus disease through lyophilized inactivated RVF vaccine through induction of early cellular, high and prolonged humeral immunity in vaccinated animals using cabopol as stabilizer and Saponin or normal saline as a diluent at time of vaccination. Moreover, manufacturing of these vaccines is easy to be done. Results: The gained results revealed that RVF freeze-dried vaccine with Carbopol that reconstituted using Saponin elicited better immune response than that reconstituted using normal saline (NaCl). The cell mediated immune response as represented by lymphocyte blastogenesis and phagocytic activity were markedly increased with high levels when we used Saponin as a diluent than that in group vaccinated with vaccine diluted with NaCl, on the other side the humeral immune response in group vaccinated using the Saponin as diluent is more detected and stayed within the protective level till the end of 11th month post vaccination (1.5 TCID50) while the immune response induced after using normal saline as a diluent stayed within the protective level till the end of 10th month post vaccination (1.8 TCID50). Conclusion: The use of Saponin as a diluent for reconstitution of the freeze dried RVF vaccine is preferable than the

Rational Design of T-Girders via Finite Element Method

The main configuration of ship construction consists of standard and fabricated stiffening members,such as T-sections,which are commonly used in *** the welding process,the nonuniform heating and rapid cooling lead to welding imperfections such as out-of-plane distortion and residual *** to these imperfections,the fabricated structural members may not attain their design load,and removing these imperfections will require extra *** present work investigated controlling these imperfections at both the design and fabrication stages.A typical fabricated T-girder was selected to investigate the problem of these imperfections using double-sided welding.A numerical simulation based on finite element modeling(FEM) was used to investigate the effects of geometrical properties and welding sequence on the magnitude of the welding imperfections of the *** FEM results were validated with the experimental measurements of a double-sided fillet *** the design stage,the optimum geometry of the fabricated T-girder was determined based on the minimum steel weight and out-of-plane ***,regarding the fabrication stage,a parametric study with two variables(geometrical properties and welding sequence)was conducted to determine the optimum geometry and welding sequence based on the minimum welding out-of-plane *** the flange thickness and reducing the breadth while keeping the T-girder section modulus constant reduced the T-girder weight and out-of-plane *** welding produced a significant reduction in the out-of-plane distortion,while an insignificant increase in the compressive residual stress occurred.

Drinking Water Treatment: pH Adjustment Using Natural Physical Field

Water has a pH of around (7.0), making it neither alkaline nor acidic. Alkaline is defined as a pH value greater than (7.0). The power of water to neutralize acids is measured by its alkalinity. The pH scale ranges from (pH = 0 to 14), with anything above (pH = 7.0) being alkaline, and anything below (7.0) being acidic. Much of the research up to now has been investigating the effect of adding alkaline substances to the water to increase the pH levels. Recent evidence suggests that using baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), which is an alkaline substance with a pH of about (9). While studies have shown that adding soda to water increases its alkalinity, it has a number of negative health consequences. For instance, Hypokalemia, Hypochloremia, High levels of sodium in the blood, Worsening kidney disease, Worsening heart failure, Muscle weakness and spasm, and Increased stomach acid production. The main aim of this study is to investigate a natural substance consisting of environmental elements i.e., it is derived from silica by the thermal fusion method (prepared by the authors) that raises the pH of water with a physical field of 80 cm without adding any components to the water. The results showed the effectiveness of this natural substance in its solid and liquid forms in raising the pH of water to reach 8.5 from a distance range = 80 cm, without any side effects on human health.

Antioxidant, hepatoprotective and nephroprotective activities of Gazania rigens against carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity in rats

Objective:The current study investigated the efficacy of total ethanolic extract and various fractions of Gazania rigens to protect against carbon tetrachloride-induced liver and kidney damage in rats and evaluated their antioxidant ***:The antioxidant activity of the total extract and fractions(petroleum ether,ethyl acetate,and aqueous)of Gazania rigens was examined using 2,2’-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging and phosphomolybdate assays,and their total phenolic and flavonoid contents were *** hepatoprotective and nephroprotective potentials were studied at a dose of 300 mg/kg for six consecutive days followed by induction of hepatorenal injury using carbon tetrachloride single dose(1.5 mL/kg,1:1 v/v in olive oil,intraperitoneal)the next ***:The results revealed the potent hepato and nephroprotective effects of ethyl acetate and aqueous fractions by significantly(P<0.01 or P<0.001)reducing the serum levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,total bilirubin,creatinine,urea,triglycerides,cholesterol,and lactate dehydrogenase,along with elevated serum albumin *** improvement of hepatic and renal antioxidant capacities and catalase activities,together with the prominent reduction of hepatic and renal malondialdehyde contents,were confirmed by histopathological ***:The potent hepatoprotective and nephroprotective effects of the total extract and different fractions of Gazania rigens may be attributed to the presence of highly phenolic and flavonoid compounds along with their complementary antioxidant scavenging properties.

Electrodeposition and Surface Characterization of Sulfur on Polycrystalline Platinum from Sulfide Polluted Brine

This paper investigated the electrodeposition of sulfur on polycrystalline platinum from sulfide polluted brine. Anodic polarization, potentiostatic and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） techniques were performed. The slope of Warburg straight line in Nyquiest plot of the EIS spectra performed at 0.0 V indicates diffusion control mechanism of the electrodeposition process. At 0.5 V the Rp （determined from EIS measurements） increased rapidly with time indicating more sulfur deposition and more passivation of platinum surface. Samples subjected to potentiostatic experiments at 0.4, 0.9 and 1.0 V were investigated under Scanning Electron Microscope （SEM）. SEM images reveal the deposition of sulfur on the sample surfaces. The degree of sulfur deposit coverage and its morphology depend on both the potential and time of deposition.

Hydrogeochemical Characteristics and Assessment of Water Resources in Beni Suef Governorate, Egypt

The main target of this research is to investigate the hydrogeochemical characteristics of surface and groundwater resources in Beni Suef Governorate, Egypt. A combination of major and heavy metals has been used to characterize surface and groundwater in Beni Suef Governorate, Egypt. Twenty water samples were collected from the water resources: River Nile, El-Ibrahimia canal, Bahr Youssef, irrigation and drainage channels and Quaternary aquifer. The collected water samples were analyzed for major and heavy metals. Surface and groundwater in the study area are considered potable for drink and irrigation based on the TDS and major ions concentrations. Regarding the MPL quoted by the WHO [1] and FAO [2], water resources in the study area are polluted by Al, Cd, Fe, Mn, Co and Cu. The highest concentrations of Al, Cd, Fe, Mn, Co and Cu recorded in the study area were 2545, 400, 1415, 2158, 239 and 1080 μg/l, respectively. Both surface and groundwater in Beni Suef suffer from pollution due to the impact of unsupervised anthropogenic activities including: fertilizers and pesticide, waste disposal and industrial waste, seepage from septic tanks, construction of water pipes, wastewater from El-Moheet drainage and evaporation processes during flood irrigation.

Ultrastructural and Ultrahistochemical Studies on Rat Hepatocytes under the Effect of Lead Acetate Administration

The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of lead acetate on the ultrastructure of albino rat hepatocytes with special reference to its effect on the mitochondrial and lysosomal activity. Lead acetate was given orally to albino rats at a dose of 1% lead acetate / 100 g body weight, three times / week for one month （Gila）, two months （Glib）, three months （GIIc）. Liver total protein, body / liver weight ratio and cytochrome P-450 value were calculated. Three parts of the liver samples were incubated in media containing adenosine triphosphate, p-nitrophenyl phosphate and 2% glutlraldehyde and prepared for electron microscopy to visualize adenosine triphosphatase, acid phosphatase and the fine structures ofhepatocytes respectively. The main changes of the fine structures was found in the nucleus, as irregularity of the nuclear membrane, clumped heterochromatin and sun radiation of lead inclusion bodies. The cytoplasm was characterized by shortened, dilated rough endoplasmic reticulum, destroyed and hazy mitochondria with increased number of lysosomes with storage secretion. Ultrastructure findings showed hepatocytes damage due to increased hydrolysis enzymes and decreased cytotoxic enzymes （cytochrome P-450） as well as oxidative enzymes that proved the toxic effect of lead according to the duration of exposure.

Utilization of Amaranth Flour in Preparation of High Nutritional Value Bakery Products

Amaranth has become an unconventional crop that interesting of scientists and researchers due to its unique nutritional properties, in addition to bear the water lack and be suitable for all types of soil. The objective of this study was to utilize amaranth flour in preparation of high nutritional value bakery products, crackers and tortilla produced by using amaranth flour instead of corn flour (w/w) by 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% levels substitution. The prepared products were evaluated for its chemical composition, minerals content, amino acids composition, fatty acid composition, color analysis, biological active compounds analysis and sensory evaluation. Results showed that substitution with amaranth flour increased protein, fat, ash and fiber. As for minerals and amino acid, it indicated that the formula No. 3 (25% corn flour/75% amaranth flour) in crackers and the formula No. 2 (50% corn flour/50% amaranth flour) in tortilla contained higher amount of minerals such as iron, calcium, potassium, zinc, magnesium, manganese, copper and phosphorus, and of the essential amino acids such as Leucine, Lysine and valine. On the other hand the formula No. 3 in crackers had the highest unsaturated fatty acids content and lowest of total saturated fatty acids content. While the formula No. 2 in tortilla had the highest saturated fatty acids content and lowest of unsaturated fatty acids content. The results also showed that the incorporation of amaranth flour in the preparation of the crackers and tortilla led to significantly decreased yellowness and lightness compared with control. Also, results indicated that crackers and tortilla which prepared with amaranth flour exhibited higher antioxidant activity than control formulas. Concerning sensory evaluation of crackers, results showed significant decrease in appearance, color and overall acceptability while, tortilla had significant decrease in general appearance, color and total score at all formulas.
