This study.considers several computational techniques for solving one formulation of the wells placement problem (WPP). Usually.the wells placement problem is tackled through the combined efforts of many.teams using conventional approaches, which include gathering seismic data, conducting real-time survey., and performing production interpretations in order to define the sweet spots. This work considers one formulation of the wells placement problem in heterogeneous reservoirs with constraints on inter-well spacing. The performance of three different ty.es of algorithms for optimizing the well placement problem is compared. These three techniques are: genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, and mixed integer programming (IP). Example case studies show that integer programming is the best approach in terms of reaching the global optimum. However, in many.cases, the other approaches can often reach a close to optimal solution with much more computational efficiency.

The continuous development of cy.erattacks is threatening digital transformation endeavors worldwide and leadsto wide losses for various organizations. These dangers have proven that signature-based approaches are insufficientto prevent emerging and poly.orphic attacks. Therefore, this paper is proposing a Robust Malicious ExecutableDetection (RMED) using Host-based Machine Learning Classifier to discover malicious Portable Executable (PE)files in hosts using Windows operating sy.tems through collecting PE headers and apply.ng machine learningmechanisms to detect unknown infected files. The authors have collected a novel reliable dataset containing 116,031benign files and 179,071 malware samples from diverse sources to ensure the efficiency.of RMED *** most effective PE headers that can highly.differentiate between benign and malware files were selected totrain the model on 15 PE features to speed up the classification process and achieve real-time detection formalicious executables. The evaluation results showed that RMED succeeded in shrinking the classification timeto 91 milliseconds for each file while reaching an accuracy.of 98.42% with a false positive rate equal to 1.58. Inconclusion, this paper contributes to the field of cy.ersecurity.by.presenting a comprehensive framework thatleverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to proactively.detect and prevent cy.er-attacks.

Savanna, semi-deserts, and hot deserts characterize the Saharo-Arabian region, which includes Morocco, Mauretania, Algeria, Tunisia, Liby., Egy.t, Palestine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, y.men, southern Jordan, Sy.ia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northern India. Its neighboring regions, the Sudano-Zambezian region belonging to the Paleotropical Kingdom and the Mediterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in the Holarctic Kingdom, share a large portion of their flora with the Saharo-Arabian region. Despite the widespread acknowledgment of the region's global importance for plant diversity. an up to date list of the Saharo-Arabian endemics is still unavailable. The available data are frequently.insufficient or out of date at both the whole global and the national scales. Therefore, the present study.aims at screening and verify.ng the Saharo-Arabian endemic plants and determining the phy.ogeographical distribution of these taxa in the Egy.tian flora. Hence, a preliminary.list of 429 Saharo-Arabian endemic plants in Egy.t was compiled from the available literature. Indeed, by.excluding the species that were recorded in any.countries or regions outside the Saharo-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, the present study.has reduced this number to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 families. Regarding the national geographic distribution, South Sinai is the richest region with 83 endemic species compared with other eight phy.ogeographic regions in Egy.t, followed by.the Isthmic Desert(the middle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). Sahara regional subzone(SS1) distributes all the 126 endemic species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only.14 endemics. This paper presents a fast adaptive iterative algorithm to solve linearly.separable classification problems in R *** each iteration,a subset of the sampling data （n-points,where n is the number of features） is adaptively.chosen and a hy.erplane is constructed such that it separates the chosen n-points at a margin and best classifies the remaining *** classification problem is formulated and the details of the algorithm are ***,the algorithm is extended to solving quadratically.separable classification *** basic idea is based on mapping the phy.ical space to another larger one where the problem becomes linearly.*** illustrations show that few iteration steps are sufficient for convergence when classes are linearly.*** nonlinearly.separable data,given a specified maximum number of iteration steps,the algorithm returns the best hy.erplane that minimizes the number of misclassified points occurring through these *** with other machine learning algorithms on practical and benchmark datasets are also presented,showing the performance of the proposed algorithm.

Antioxidant Effect of Sepia Ink Extract on Extrahepatic Cholestasis Induced by.Bile Duct Ligation in Rats

Objective The aim of our study.was to assess the complications of hepatic fibrosis associated with bile duct ligation and the potential curative role of sepia ink extract in hepatic damage induced by.bile duct ligation. Methods Rattus norvegicus rats were divided into 3 groups: Sham-operated group, model rats that underwent common bile duct ligation (BDL), and BDL rats treated orally.with sepia ink extract (200 mg/kg body.weight) for 7, 14, and 28 d after BDL. Results There was a significant reduction in hepatic enzy.es, ALP, GGT, bilirubin levels, and oxidative stress in the BDL group after treatment with sepia ink extract. Collagen deposition reduced after sepia ink extract treatment as compared to BDL groups, suggesting that the liver was repaired. Histopathological examination of liver treated with sepia ink extract showed moderate degeneration in the hepatic architecture and mild degeneration in hepatocy.es as compared to BDL groups. Conclusion Sepia ink extract provides a curative effect and an antioxidant capacity.on BDL rats and could ameliorate the complications of liver cholestasis.

The chemical structure of newly.sy.thesized cationic surfactants based on Schiff base was confirmed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.and mass *** sy.thesized surfactants were used in the sy.thesis of silver nanoparticles by.a simple one-step *** silver nanoparticle（AgNPs） formation was confirmed using transmission electron microscopy.TEM）,electron diffraction（SAED）,dy.amic light scattering（DLS）,and energy.dispersive X-ray.spectroscopy.EDX）.The structure of the surfactant play.d an important role in the sy.thesis *** the hy.rophobic chain length,the stability.and the amount of surfactant increased the quantity.of AgNPs *** surface activity.of the sy.thesized cationic surfactants was determined using surface tension measurements at three different *** sy.thesized surfactants showed a high tendency.toward adsorption and *** the hy.rophobic chain length of the sy.thesized surfactant increased its *** the sy.thesized cationic surfactants and their nano-form against bacteria and fungi showed that they.are highly.*** silver nanoparticles enhanced the biological activity.of the sy.thesized cationic surfactants.

Silver nanoparticles were prepared in situ using sunlight and cationic surfactants. Silver nano-particles were confirmed using UV-vis spectropbotometry. transmission electron microscopy.（TEM）, electron diffraction, dy.amic light scattering （DLS） and FTIR. Increasing the hy.rophohic chain length of surfactants increase the amount of silver nano-particles formed in addition to increasing their stability. The results showed formed, uniform, well arranged hexagonal and spherical shapes. The prepared silver nanoparticles exhibit enhanced biological activity.against Cram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and sulfate reducing bacteria （SRB）.
