An engine rubber mounting is one of the important parts of a vehicle. It is a function to isolate or absorb and to reduce vibration to the vehicle body thus to the passenger itself. Due to the engine compartments environment such as heat and massive vibration due to road conditions, the engine rubber mountings lifespan has been reduced. thus several studies have been conducted to upgrade the material lifespan to make it more reliable and better engine mounting components. this paper presents the conceptual design of kenaf fiber polymer as automotive engine rubber mounting composites using the integration of theory of Inventive Problem Solving(tRIZ). In this early stage, the solution is generated using 40 inventive principles and tRIZ contradiction method. the solution parameter for the specific design character is the selected using the morphological chart to develop a systematic conceptual design for the component. Four(4) innovative design concepts were produced and Analytic Network Process(ANP)methods were utilized to perform the multi-criteria decision-making process of selecting the best concept design for the polymer composite engine rubber mounting component.

the application of natural fibers as reinforcement in composite material has increased due to environmental concerns,low cost,degradability and health *** purpose of this study is to identify the best type of bamboo fibers to be used as reinforcement for kenaf(K)/bamboo hybrid *** were three types of bamboo fibers evaluated in this study which include bamboo mat(B),bamboo fabric(BF)and bamboo powder(BP).Chemical composition of B,BF,BP and K fibers were analyzed in this *** effect of different types of bamboo fibers on tensile,impact,and morphological properties were *** B/epoxy composites displayed the highest tensile strength(53.03 MPa)while K/epoxy composite had the highest tensile modulus(4.71 GPa).Scanning electron micrographs of B/epoxy composites displayed better fiber/matrix interfacial bonding in comparison to other studied *** showed that impact strength of BF-based composite was highest(45.70 J/m).In conclusion,the tensile strength of B/epoxy composite is superior to the other bamboo reinforced composites and will be further evaluated in the next study.

the paper presents the investigation of the effect of alkaline treatment of sodium hydroxide(NaOh) on physical and dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA) viscoelastic properties of kenaf fibre filled natural rubber(NR)/thermoplastic polyurethane(tPU) *** treated kenaf fiber,NR and tPU were weighed and proportioned according to the required compositions and were blended using hot mixed Brabender *** polymer composites were then fabricated using the hot press to form a sample *** sample was cut and prepared and water absorption,density,thickness swelling and DMA tests were *** far as physical properties are concerned,composites with the highest NR amount of shows the best results,which indicates good fiber bonding *** polymer composites with the highest amount of tPU shows the highest damping properties at high temperature.

We report our experience with potential donors for living donor liver transplantation(LDLt), which is the first report from an area where there is no legalized deceased donation program. this is a single center retrospective analysis of potential living donors(n = 1004) between May 2004 and December 2012. this report focuses on the analysis of causes, duration, cost, and various implications of donor exclusion(n = 792).Most of the transplant candidates(82.3%) had an experience with more than one excluded donor(median = 3). Some recipients travelled abroad for a deceased donor transplant(n = 12) and some died before finding a suitable donor(n = 14). the evaluation of an excluded donor is a time-consuming process(median = 3 d, range 1 d to 47 d). It is also a costly process with a median cost of approximately 70 USD(range 35 USD to 885 USD). From these results, living donor exclusion has negative implications on the patients and transplant program with ethical dilemmas and an economic impact. Many strategies are adopted by other centers to expand the donor pool; however, they are not all applicable in our locality. We conclude that an active legalized deceased donor transplantation program is necessary to overcome the shortage of available liver grafts in Egypt.

Background:Bile duct injury(BDI)after cholecystectomy remains a significant surgical *** guideline exists to guide the timing of repair,while few studies compare early versus late repair *** study aimed to analyze the outcomes in patients undergoing immediate,intermediate,and delayed repair of ***:We retrospectively analyzed 412 patients with BDI from March 2015 to January *** patients were divided into three groups based on the time of BDI *** 1 underwent an immediate reconstruction(within the first 72 hours post-cholecystectomy,n=156);group 2 underwent an intermediate reconstruction(from 4 days to 6 weeks post-cholecystectomy,n=75),and group 3 underwent delayed reconstruction(after 6 weeks post-cholecystectomy,n=181).Results:Patients in group 2 had significantly more early complications including anastomotic leakage and intra-abdominal collection and late complications including anastomotic stricture and secondary liver cirrhosis compared with groups 1 and *** outcome was observed in 111(71.2%)patients in group 1,31(41.3%)patients in group 2,and 157(86.7%)patients in group 3(P=0.0001).Multivariate analysis identified that complete ligation of the bile duct,level E1 BDI and the use of external stent were independent factors of favorable outcome in group 1,the use of external stent was an independent factor of favorable outcome in group 2,and level E4 BDI was an independent factor of unfavorable outcome in group *** BDI and level E4 BDI were independent factors of unfavorable ***:Favorable outcomes were more frequently observed in the immediate and delayed reconstruction of post-cholecystectomy *** ligation of the bile duct,level E1 BDI and the use of external stent were independent factors of a favorable outcome.

We consider a downlink multi-user scenario and investigate the use of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces(RISs)to maximize the dirty-paper-coding(DPC)sum rate of the RIS-assisted broadcast *** from prior works,which maximize the rate achievable by linear precoders,we assume a capacity-achieving DPC scheme is employed at the transmitter and optimize the transmit covariances and RIS reflection coefficients to directly maximize the sum capacity of the broadcast *** propose an optimization algorithm that iteratively alternates between optimizing the transmit covariances using convex optimization and the RIS reflection coefficients using Riemannian manifold *** results show that the proposed technique can be used to effectively improve the sum capacity in a variety of scenarios compared to benchmark schemes.

Is fluoroscopy-free single-use flexible ureteroscopy a feasible treatment for kidney stones with abnormal renal anatomy?

Objectivethis study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of the fluoroscopy-free single-use flexible ureteroscopy procedure in the treatment of kidney stones with abnormal renal anatomy compared to normal renal *** patients with abnormal (Group A) and 80 patients with normal (Group B) renal anatomy who had 10–20 mm renal stones were included. they were treated with LithoVue single-use flexible ureteroscopy (Boston Scientific, Marlborough, MA, USA) after ureteric dilatation by two different size semi-rigid ureteroscopes. this technique was chosen as the aim was to exclude any ureteric pathology (e.g., stone or stricture), confirm the placement of a safe guidewire, avoid balloon dilatation of the ureter, and achieve safe insertion of a 12 Fr, 35/45 cm ureteric access sheath with optical and tactile sign and without fluoroscopy image for *** mean ages were 43 years and 45 years in Group A and Group B, respectively. the mean stone burden was 14.62 (standard deviation: 5.35) mm^(3) and 14.79 (standard deviation: 4.58) mm^(3) in Group A and Group B, respectively. there is no significant difference between both groups according to the mean operative time, hospital stay, or stone-free rate. the stone-free rate was about 93% in both groups when the stone size was between 10 mm and 15 mm, and less than 54% when the stone size was more than 15 mm to 20 mm. In the majority of cases (80.0% in Group A and 92.5% in Group B), we completed the procedure without fluoroscopy. the perioperative complication rates were comparable in the two ***-free single-use flexible ureteroscopy, when performed by expert urologists, is a feasible treatment for pre-stented patients with kidney calculi of ≤15 mm with abnormal renal anatomy.

Areca catechu,is a species of palm belonging to the family of Arecaceae/Palmae,grows vertically,to the height of 10 m to 20 m,the stem is straight,solitary and slender,10 cm to 15 cm in diameter,with marks of annulated scars of fallen leaf *** fibres are predominantly extracted not only from the fruit as areca husk,but also from leaf stalks and *** this review paper,areca fibre is compared with those of other representative species of the Arecaceae/Palmae family,such as the coconut tree and the palm tree,in terms of physical and mechanical *** review article also discusses the physical,mechanical and thermal properties of areca fibre and its *** review of known published data reveals that,while areca fibre has the potential to be used as an alternative reinforcement in polymer ***,it has been also noticed that some other species from the family of Arecaceae/Palmae have not been explored as natural fibre reinforcement in polymer composites either,thus revealing further options of natural alternative reinforcement to be investigated with regard to their potential to be used in fibre based composites for the automotive,aerospace,and construction industries.
