Entropy Generation for Flow and Heat Transfer of Sisko-Fluid Over an Exponentially Stretching Surface

In the present study,the effects of the magnetic field on the entropy generation during fluid flow and heat transfer of a Sisko-fluid over an exponentially stretching surface are *** similarity transformations are used to transfer the governing partial differential equations into a set of nonlinear-coupled ordinary differential ***-Kutta-Fehlberg method is used to solve the governing *** effects of magnetic field parameter,local slip parameterλ,generalized Biot numberγ,Sisko fluid material parameter,Eckert number Ec,Prandtl number Pr and Brinkman number Br at two values of power law index on the velocity,temperature,local entropy generation number N_(G) and Bejan number Be are ***,the tabular forms for local skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number under the effects of the physical parameters are *** current results are helpful in checking the entropy generation for *** is found that,an extra magnetic field parameter makes higher Lorentz force that suppresses the *** shear thinning fluids(n<1),the temperature dominates and the velocity *** entropy generation number is more for larger generalized Biot number,magnetic field parameter and Brinkman *** local skin friction coefficient increases as magnetic field parameter and material parameter are increase and it decreases as local slip parameter *** local Nusselt number decreases as magnetic field parameter,local slip parameter and Eckert number are increase,while it increases as material parameter,generalized Biot number and Prandtl number are increase.

MHD Boundary Layer Flow of a Power-Law Nanofluid Containing Gyrotactic Microorganisms Over an Exponentially Stretching Surface

This study focusses on the numerical investigations of boundary layer flow for magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)and a power-law nanofluid containing gyrotactic microorganisms on an exponentially stretching surface with zero nanoparticle mass flux and convective *** nonlinear system of the governing equations is transformed and solved by Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg *** impacts of the transverse magnetic field,bioconvection parameters,Lewis number,nanofluid parameters,Prandtl number and power-law index on the velocity,temperature,nanoparticle volume fraction,density of motile microorganism profiles is *** addition,the impacts of these parameters on local skin-friction coefficient,local Nusselt,local Sherwood numbers and local density number of the motile microorganisms are *** results reveal that the power law index is considered an important factor in this *** to neglecting the buoyancy force term,the bioconvection and nanofluid parameters have slight effects on the velocity *** resultant Lorentz force,from increasing the magnetic field parameter,try to decrease the velocity profiles and increase the rescaled density of motile microorganisms,temperature and nanoparticle volume fraction ***,an augmentation of power-law index drops the reduced local skin-friction and reduced Sherwood number,while it increases reduced Nusselt number and reduced local density number of motile microorganisms.

Effect of Ketamine Instillation on Acute and Chronic Post Mastectomy Pain, a Dose Finding Clinical Study

Background: Uncontrolled acute postoperative pain is considered a risk factor for the development of chronic pain afterward. Objectives: To explore the most effective dose of ketamine instillation (1 of 3 doses: 1, 2, or 3 mg/kg) for acute and chronic post mastectomy pain (PMP). Methods: Ninety female patients with cancer breast, aged (18 - 60 yrs), weighted (50 - 90 kg), scheduled for modified radical mastectomy, randomly allocated into 3 groups to receive ketamine instillation after surgical homeostasis before wound closure (1 of 3 doses;1, 2, or 3 mg/kg as A, B or C groups respectively) patients were followed up for 48 h for acute pain (total morphine consumption, the first request of analgesia and visual analog scale at rest and movement (VASR/M), chronic pain by Leeds assessment of neuropathic signs and symptoms (LANSS) for six-months, hemodynamics, and side effects. Results: Median total dose of morphine consumption was 8 mg (5 - 10) versus 6 mg (6 - 7) in A and B groups respectively in the first 48 h postoperatively. Lowest VASR/M was recorded in C then B and lastly A group (P = 0.037). No patients in the C group requested analgesia versus thirty (100%) and nine (30%) patients in the A and B groups respectively with the first request of analgesia was 12 h (5 - 36) in the A group versus 30 h (12 - 36) in the B group respectively (P Conclusion: Ketamine instillation effectively controlled acute post mastectomy pain (PMP) in a dose-dependent manner and reduced the incidence and severity of chronic pain in patients who undergoing a modified radical mastectomy.

Microbial infections cause complicated health influences along with bad economic *** the present investigation,three dominant seaweeds namely,Amphiroa anceps,Corallina officinalis and Sargassum filipendula were collected from different Egyptian sites at the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea during autumn *** extracts of the three algae were screened for their antibacterial activity against three pathogenic bacteria Salmonella typhiimurium,Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli,in addition to in vitro antiviral activity against Rotavirus(RV),and Coxsackie virus B3(CVB3)that cause severe diseases in *** extract of ***,*** and *** inhibit *** cells by 57.1%,85.7%,and 91.4%,*** highest level of concentration of the *** extract(100μg/mL)inhibits 100%of Staphylococcus aureus cells followed by *** and *** extract which inhibit 82.5%and 75%of ***,the highest concentration of *** extract inhibits *** by 80%.The extract of *** exhibited a high antiviral effect against RV infection with TI=22 and virus titers lessened by 2.75 log TCID_(50) followed by extractions of *** with TI=18.3 and virus titers reduced by 2.5 log TCID_(50).Against CVB3 infection,the extract of *** causes the highest antiviral activity with TI=15 and reduce the viral titers by 2.5 log TCID_(50),followed by extractions of *** with TI=8.8 and inhibition of virus titers by 1.75 log TCID_(50).Extract of *** displayed the lowest antiviral effects against RV and CVB3 infection with TI=2.4 and 1.4,*** obtained results clarified that the extract of three marine seaweeds maintains a potent antimicrobial activity,making them a future promising source of new antimicrobial drugs.

In this paper,a detailed investigation of water(Pr=7.0)convection in a chemical condenser is carried *** openings are located along one side of the *** Navier-Stokes equations are solved in the frame of a control volume method using the SIMPLEC algorithm to implement adequate coupling of pressure and *** emphasis is given to the influence of the Reynolds number,the tilt of the channel and the Rayleigh number on the convective heat *** are presented and discussed allowing the control parameters to span relatively wide intervals:Rayleigh number(10^(4)≤Ra≤5×10^(5)),channel inclination(0°≤90°)and Reynolds number(10≤Re≤1000).On the basis of these results,a new correlation of the Nusselt number is elaborated.

Impact of Water Deterioration on Growth Indices and Meat Quality of Tilapia zillii and Solea aegyptiaca Fish Inhabiting Lake Qaroun, Egypt

The present work studies water deterioration, fish survival and production as a result of effluents discharged directly without prior treatments into lake Qaroun at Fayoum governorate, Egypt. Lake Qaroun represents heavily polluted wild habitat for both studied fish species, Tilapia zillii and Solea aegyptiaca, the most abundant species. Results revealed deterioration in water quality (low dissolved oxygen but high ammonia, nitrite, copper, lead and cadmium) of Northeastern sector where El-Bats drain discharge its effluents without prior treatment followed by that of eastern sector at four km from the point of El-Bats discharge. Water salinity and dissolved oxygen values were in the following order: Western lake Qaroun sector > Eastern lake Qaroun sector > Northeastern lake Qaroun sector. However, Ammonia and nitrite readings were in the following order: Northeastern sector of Lake Qaroun is followed by the Eastern sector, then the Western sector. Moreover, results of the present field study revealed a decrease in fish production with the lowest condition factor and a deterioration in meat quality (an increase in muscle water content and ash but a decrease total protein and total lipids) in case of fish collected from the polluted sites along the lake (Northeastern and eastern sectors). However, fish collected from the unpolluted western sector of the lake showed condition factor and chemical muscle composition more or less similar to normal healthy fish.

Jejunal Stromal Tumor Revealed by a Digestive Hemorrhage

Introduction: Gastro intestinal stromal tumors are rare which can arise at any age, mostly between 50 and 60 years old. They are characterized by the expression on the surface of their cells, a specific gene c-kit. They can be located in any segment of the digestive tract, with a preference for the stomach (60%). The jejunum location is found in 200% to 30% of the cases. The originality of our observation is the revelation of a stromal jejunum tumor by a digestive bleeding. Case Report: A 71-year-old man was admitted in emergencies for a low digestive plentiful bleeding with state of hypovolemia shock. Result: The operation was performed after stabilization of his dynamic state and blood transfusion and we discovered a jejunal stromal tumor in operation. The follow-up was simple with a good evolution under treatment by Imatinib. Conclusion: Stromal digestive tumors are rare which can interest all the segments of the digestive tract and their diagnosis must be often evoked in front of any digestive bleeding.

Hepato Splenic Tuberculosis in Acute Cholecystitis

Background: The tuberculosis is an endemic disease in our country;it remains a major public health problem. Liver and splenic tuberculosis is a classic disease which represents 1.5% of all gastrointestinal tuberculosis. Patients and Methods: We reported the case of a fifty-six years old patient admitted in the department of surgery for acute cholecystitis, and the biological balance showed a hyperleukocytosis at 16,000 elements/mm3 and a CRP at 25 with a light cholestasis. The abdominal scanner showed a micronodular splenomegaly with coelio mesenteric ganglions. We discovered a tuberculosis location in the liver and the spleen and we realized a cholecystectomy with a hepatic biopsy and a splenectomy. Results: A gallbladder ablation associated with an enlarged spleen and liver biopsy was diagnosed with liver and splenic tuberculosis. The patient was put under anti tubercular treatment with the good clinical and radiological evolution. Conclusion: The diagnosis of tuberculosis should always be considered especially in endemic countries.

Desertification has become a global threat and caused a crisis,especially in Middle Eastern countries,such as Saudi *** is one of the most important cities in Saudi Arabia that needs to be protected from *** vegetation area in Makkah has been damaged because of desertification through wind,floods,overgrazing,and global climate *** damage caused by desertification can be recovered provided urgent action is taken to prevent further degradation of the vegetation *** this paper,we propose an automatic desertification detection system based on Deep Learning *** images are classified using Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)to detect land state variation in *** have been widely used for computer vision applications,such as image classification,image segmentation,and quality *** proposed CNN model was trained and evaluated on the Arial Image Dataset(AID).Compared to state-of-the-art methods,the proposed model has better performance while being suitable for embedded *** has achieved high efficiency with 96.47% *** light of the current research,we assert the appropriateness of the proposed CNN model in detecting desertification from aerial images.
