Background:Epilepsy is a chronic,universal disorder with various etiologies and *** is still laden with myths in the majority of the Moroccan *** the existence of well-established medicinal treatments and increasingly comprehensive care,access to antiepileptic care is still limited,especially for rural *** aim herein to identify the therapeutic itinerary of patients with epilepsy(or epileptic disorders)as well as the behaviour of patients and their families towards this disease in Marrakech and the surrounding region of ***:We carried out a retrospective study Questionnaire filled by 110 patients data was analysed with SPSS version ***:Our results showed that 69.96%of the patients believed in a supernatural origin of the disease and 76.4%attended for professional medical care after their first *** addition,more than half of our patients(51.8%)consulted a religious leader for the initial consultation,51.0%of whom were women and 49.0%were *** low socioeconomic status of patients with epilepsy,74.5%of whom were unemployed,impeded the effective management of this ***:These results suggest that the management of patients with epilepsy(or epileptic disorders)in Africa,and particularly in Morocco requires,in addition to the reinforcement of human and material resources,an effort to educate and positively influence the family and the social environment as a whole.

Mapping potential areas for groundwater storage in the High Guir Basin(Morocco):Contribution of remote sensing and geographic information system

Identification of water potential areas in arid regions is a crucial element for the enhancement of their water resources and socio-economic development. In fact, water resources system-planning can be used to make various decisions and implement manage- ment of water resources policies. The purpose of this study is to identify groundwater sto- rage areas in the high Guir Basin by implementing Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing methods. The required data for this study can be summarized into five critical factors: Topography (slope), lithology, rainfall, rock fracture and drainage. These critical factors have been converted by the GIS into thematic maps. For each cri- tical parameter, a coefficient with weight was attributed according to its importance. The map of potential groundwater storage areas is obtained by adding the products (coeffi- cient × weight) of the five parameters. The results show that 50% to 64% of the total area of the High Guir Basin is potentially rich in groundwater, where most of fracture systems are intensely developed. The obtained results are validated with specific yield of the aqui- fer in the study area. It is noted that there is a strong positive correlation between excel- lent groundwater potential zones with high flows of water points and it diminishes with low specific yield with poor potential zones.

Contribution of the 3D Geological Model to the Study of the High Basin Ziz Jurassic Aquifers Structure (Central High Atlas, Morocco)

The high Ziz’s basin, which is part of the Central High Atlas, contains Jurassic superficial and deep aquifers. The information sheets are still fragmentary and insufficient because of the basin’s large size and its complex geological structure. In order to improve the knowledge of these aquifers and the determination of the structure of aquifers, a 3D geological model was developed in this study. It was constructed from information provided by 200 mechanical soundings and 81 electrical surveys and geological maps. Compiled holes were analyzed, coded and integrated in the software Groundwater Modeling System 6.0 (GMS 6.0). For doing this, five lithostratigraphic units were considered: the Domerian, the Toarcian, the Aalenian, the Bajo-Bathonian and the Quaternary. The operation of the 3D stratigraphic model allowed making it closer to the geometry of Jurassic aquifers.

Objective:To describe the various options available for preserving female and/or male fertility,taking into account both social and medical aspects,and to identify the effects of different natural products on male infertility extracted from ***:We reviewed the literature and included full-text publications in English provided by international biomedical databases,including Sciences Direct,Google Scholar,OVID,PubMed,and MEDLINE between 2016 and *** terms,such as fertility preservation,in vitro maturation,cryopreservation,plants for the treatment of male infertility,were taken from Medical Subject Headings(MeSH)and Boolean operators were used to improve ***:112 papers were identified in the initial search,of which 18 were excluded due to *** reviewing titles and abstracts,70 papers were finally *** main findings of this study are presented under three key themes:gametogenesis,fertility preservation techniques,and plant-based *** gametogenesis,significant progress has been made in understanding oocyte and sperm maturation,with optimized conditions improving maturation rates and *** fertility preservation,techniques such as rescue in vitro maturation and cryopreservation have shown the enhanced outcomes,particularly in maintaining gamete ***,plant-based alternatives,including extracts and essential oils,have demonstrated potential in reducing oxidative stress,improving sperm motility,and supporting oocyte development,thus providing a promising complementary approach to conventional ***:Fertility preservation is achieved in a variety of ways,including oocyte and embryo vitrification and sperm cryopreservation,and the use of plant-based treatment of male infertility.

目的模拟训练(simulation-based training,SBT)是一种有效的教育方法,广泛应用于包括肿瘤学在内的多种临床环境中。该文对肿瘤学中与SBT相关的研究进行了范围综述,全面了解SBT在提高医护人员技能方面的作用,从而提高护理质量和患者安全。方法根据Arksey和O’Malley提出的范围综述方法框架,在Medline、Scopus和Web of Science数据库中检索于2012年至2022年发表的,与SBT在提高肿瘤科医护人员技能方面的相关研究文献,仅纳入经过同行评审的英文或法语文献。由2名研究员独立进行文献的筛选、提取和分析。结果检索出1013篇文章,共纳入29篇文献。其中25篇文献侧重于非技术技能,如决策技能、沟通和团队合作技能以及认知能力;13篇文献侧重于技术技能。纳入文献研究结果表明,通过SBT项目,肿瘤科医护人员的技能得到了显著提高。其中14篇文献对SBT的应用进行了主观评估,9篇文献对其进行了客观评估,6篇文献采用了主观和客观相结合的评估方法。结论SBT是提高肿瘤科医护人员技能的有效方法,支持和推广SBT对提供高质量的医疗服务和确保患者安全至关重要。

Anatomical Pathology Laboratory Activity in Meknes, Morocco

Cancer continues to be a major health problem in the world. During 2018, there were 9.6 million deaths and 18.1 million new cases registered across the globe. It is estimated that one in 5 men and one in 6 women will develop cancer during their lifetime. This disease kills one in 8 men and one in 11 women. Developing countries have seen an increase in cancer occurrence and change in type of cancers due to change in social and economic conditions. The objective of this research was to further evaluate 1659 specimens for anatomical pathology testing. The data was collected from the records of the pathological anatomy laboratory at the mohamed V Hospital in Meknes, Morocco. It is one-year study period (January-December 2013). Results of the anatomy pathology exam showed cancer positive for 9.6% of specimens;inconclusive for 1%;and negative for 66.2%. For all specimens, the most analyzed organs are breast with 29.7%;skin with 21.3%;cervical with 2.6%. For cancer patients, the most affected organs are skin (21.3%) and breast (29.7%). For cancer patients, Neoplasm is present in 9.3% of patients. Patients with metastatic cancer represent 0.3%. Patients with non-neoplastic lesions represent 66.2%. 1% of patients represent uncertain results. Additional immunohistochemistry research is needed before conclusive recommendations are made.
