Pedo-spectroscopy has the potential to provide valuable information about soil physical,chemical,and biological ***,wemay predict soil properties usingVNIRfield imaging spectra(IS)such as Prisma satellite data or laboratory spectra(LS).The primary goal of this study is to investigate machine learning models namely Partial Least Squares Regression(PLSR)and Support Vector Regression(SVR)for the prediction of several soil properties,including clay,sand,silt,organic matter,nitrate NO3-,and calcium carbonate CaCO_(3),using five VNIR spectra dataset combinations(%IS,%LS)as follows:C1(0%IS,100%LS),C2(20%IS,80%LS),C3(50%IS,50%LS),C4(80%IS,20%LS)and C5(100%IS,0%LS).Soil samples were collected at bare soils and at the upper(0–30 cm)*** data set has been split into a training dataset 80%of the collected data(n=248)and a validation dataset 20%of the collected data(n=61).The proposed PLSR and SVR models were trained then tested for each dataset *** to our results,SVR outperforms PLSR for both:C1(0%IS,100%LS)and C5(100%IS,0%LS).For Soil Organic Matter(SOM)prediction,it achieves(R^(2)=0.79%,RMSE=1.42%)and(R^(2)=0.76%,RMSE=1.3%),*** data fusion has improved the soil property *** highest improvement was obtained for the SOM property(R^(2)=0.80%,RMSE=1.39)when using the SVR model and applying the second Combination C2(20% of IS and 80%LS).

The optimum delivery of safeguarding substances is a major part of supply chain management and a crucial issue in the mitigation against the outbreak of pandemics.A problem arises for a decision maker who wants to optimally choose a subset of candidate consumers to maximize the distributed quantities of the needed safeguarding substances within a specic time period.A nonlinear binary mathematical programming model for the problem is *** decision variables are binary ones that represent whether to choose a specic consumer,and design constraints are formulated to keep track of the chosen *** better illustrate the problem,objective,and problem constraints,a real application case study is *** case study involves the optimum delivery of safeguarding substances to several hospitals in the Al-gharbia Governorate in *** hospitals are selected to represent the consumers of safeguarding substances,as they are the rst crucial frontline for mitigation against a pandemic outbreak.A distribution truck is used to distribute the substances from the main store to the hospitals in specied required quantities during a given working *** objective function is formulated in order to maximize the total amount of delivered quantities during the specied time *** case study is solved using a novel Discrete Binary Gaining Sharing Knowledge-based Optimization algorithm(DBGSK),which involves two main stages:discrete binary junior and senior gaining and sharing *** has the ability of nding the solutions of the introduced problem,and the obtained results demonstrate robustness and convergence toward the optimal solutions.

Diagnostic Accuracy of Strain Imaging of the Left Ventricle in Detection of Obstructive Coronary Artery Disease

Background: Speckle tracking echocardiography using average global strain and strain rate (SR) parameters for early detection of high risk patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has gained a substantial clinical interest. Objective: Assessment of the diagnostic accuracy of strain imaging of the left ventricle in detection of obstructive coronary artery disease. Methods: One hundred patients were enrolled. They were divided into 3 groups: Group I (n = 40 patients) presented with ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), Group II (n = 40 patients) presented with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) or unstable angina (UA) and Group III (n = 20 patients) with normal coronary angiography served as a control group. All patients were subjected to 2D speckle tracking echocardiography (2D STE) to assess LV longitudinal strain and strain rate (SR). Sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of 2D STE in prediction of CAD and its severity using Gensini score were assessed. Results: The mean age for Group I, II and III was 52.20 ± 11.83, 51.97 ± 14.53 and 52.75 ± 10.75 respectively. Cytotoxic Effect of Soy Bean Saponin against Colon Cancer

Saponin is an important class of natural products that can be presented in many plants, it has a diverse range of properties, which include pharmacological and medicinal properties, antimicrobial, insecticidal, and anticancer activities. The aim of this study was to extract the saponin from different Egyptian legumes sources and evaluate the antitumor activity of partially purified saponin extracted from soybean in mouse colon cancer cells in vitro and compare its activity with cisplatin as reference chemotherapeutic drug. In this study saponin extracted from soybean and partially purified using silica gel column chromatography and then characterized by using IR and HPLC techniques. Antitumor activity of partially purified saponin was evaluated by using MTT assay, caspase-9 activity and apoptotic effect by flow cytometric analysis. Our results showed that the high saponin was present in soybean with concentration 94.8 mg/g dry weight. The partially purified soybean saponin inhibited the proliferation of colon cancer cell line in a dose-dependent manner with IC50 43.4 μg/ml after 48 hrs treatment. The proliferation inhibitory effect of soybean saponin was associated with its apoptosis-inducing effect by activation of caspase-9 and increasing the percent of apoptotic cells to 91.02% when compared with negative control after analysis by flow cytometry. In conclusion, soybean saponin had antitumor activity against mouse colon cancer cell line and its mechanism was mediated through apoptotic effect.

Heavy metal contamination in the El-gharbia Governorate(District)of Egypt was identified by using remote sensing,Geographical Information Systems(GIS),and X-ray fluorescence(XRF)spectrometry as the main research *** Elevation Model(DEM),Landsat 8 and contour map images were used to map the *** physiographic units in the study area are represented by nine soil profiles.X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(XRF)was used for geochemical analysis of 33 soil ***(V),nickel(Ni),chromium(Cr),copper(Cu)and zinc(Zn)concentrations were measured and they all exceeded the average global concentrations identified by Wedepohl(1995).Ni and Cr concentrations exceeded recommended values in all soil profile horizons(Canadian Soil Quality Guidelines,2007),while Cu had a variable *** concentrations are under recommended concentration limits in most soil *** Factor,Pollution Load Index and Degree of Contamination indices were used to assess the environmental risks of heavy metal contamination from the *** analysed metals pose some potential hazard and pollution levels were particularly high near industrial and urban areas.
