Molecular Studies on h.at Sh.ck Protein 70 Gene （h.p70） Using ClustalW Multiple Sequence Alignment Analysis

Degenerate primers are particularly useful in amplifying h.mologous genes from different organisms. Th.s paper describes a meth.d for designing degenerate primers for a given multiple alignment of DNA sequences of h.p70 gene family using ClustalW algorith.. Th. auth.rs used an in silico approach.to find a h.mology between more th.n one accession numbers of DNA sequences, X67711.2 was for Oryza sativa h.p70, AY372071.1 was for Nicotiana tabacum h.p70 and L41253.2 was for Lycopersicon esculentum h.c70. Th. th.ee accession numbers wh.ch.were retrieved by th. BLASTn program depend on th.ir expected value （E-value）. Multiple sequence alignment was performed by ClustalW algorith. to produce a conserved blocks and determine th. consensus region wh.ch.h.d been used to produce th. forward and reverse primer by th. primer select module of DNAStar Lasergene V7 and In-Silco PCR module of FASTPCR program ver.4.0.8 was performed to detect th. melting temperatures （Tm） and predict th. PCR product size, Th. results of designed degenerate primer sh.wed th.t th.re was a h.mology found between th. designed primers and th. DNA templates for th. th.ee accession numbers with.at least 80% identity. Th. result of degenerate PCR sh.wed th.t th. th.ee bands of th. amplified PCR products of th. th.ee accession numbers were detected at th. same molecular weigh. of marker （400 bp） with.a difference about 15 pb compared to th. in silco PCR product （385 pb）. In conclusion, th.s study focused on th. importance of using th. clustalW algorith. for designing th. degenerate primer.

Oxidation Resistance of th. Aluminide Coating Formed on Carbon Steels

Low and medium carbon steels were aluminized by th. pack aluminizing tech.ique using h.lideactivated pure-Al and Fe-Al packs. Th. effect of mixture composition, aluminizing temperatureand time and C content of th. steel substrate on th. structure and th.ckness of th. aluminidelayer, and on th. oxidation resistance was investigated. Th. optimum oxidation resistance canbe ach.eved with.a low carbon steel substrate wh.n th. intermetallic ph.ses Fe3Al and FeAlform th. surface of th. aluminide layer. In th.s case, th. Al concentration at th. surface of th.aluminide coating is at least ≥15 wt pct. Formation of h.gh.Al concentration ph.ses (FeAl3 andFe2Al5) during aluminizing sh.uld be avoided as th.y tend to embrittle th. aluminide layer andreduce its oxidation resistance.

Assessment of plant diversity of endemic species of th. Sah.ro-Arabian region in Egypt

Savanna, semi-deserts, and h.t deserts ch.racterize th. Sah.ro-Arabian region, wh.ch.includes Morocco, Mauretania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bah.ain, th. United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, south.rn Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afgh.nistan, Pakistan, and north.rn India. Its neigh.oring regions, th. Sudano-Zambezian region belonging to th. Paleotropical Kingdom and th. Mediterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in th. h.larctic Kingdom, sh.re a large portion of th.ir flora with.th. Sah.ro-Arabian region. Despite th. widespread acknowledgment of th. region's global importance for plant diversity, an up to date list of th. Sah.ro-Arabian endemics is still unavailable. Th. available data are frequently insufficient or out of date at both.th. wh.le global and th. national scales. Th.refore, th. present study aims at screening and verifying th. Sah.ro-Arabian endemic plants and determining th. ph.togeograph.cal distribution of th.se taxa in th. Egyptian flora. h.nce, a preliminary list of 429 Sah.ro-Arabian endemic plants in Egypt was compiled from th. available literature. Indeed, by excluding th. species th.t were recorded in any countries or regions outside th. Sah.ro-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, th. present study h.s reduced th.s number to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 families. Regarding th. national geograph.c distribution, South.Sinai is th. rich.st region with.83 endemic species compared with.oth.r eigh. ph.togeograph.c regions in Egypt, followed by th. Isth.ic Desert(th. middle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). Sah.ra regional subzone(SS1) distributes all th. 126 endemic species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only 14 endemics. Estimation of th. novel antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive and antih.perlipidemic effects of silymarin in Albino rats and mice

Objective: To evaluate th. oth.r ph.rmacological actions of silymarin in Albino rats and mice such.as antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive and antih.perlipidemic effects. Meth.ds: Rats were injected intramuscularly with.pyrogenic dose of brewer's yeast for th. antipyretic test of silymarin. Anoth.r group of rats injected with.0.1 mL of 1% carrageenan solution in saline at th. subplanter area of th. righ. h.nd paw for th. anti-inflammatory test of silymarin. Anoth.r group of mice tested by h.t plate meth.d for determination of antinociceptive effect of silymarin. h.perlipidemia was induced using h.gh.fat diet for 2 month. to estimate th. antih.perlipidemic activity of silymarin. Results: Silymarin sh.wed a significant antipyretic effect of both.doses(50 and 100 mg/kg) compared with.control untreated group. Moreover, silymarin elucidated a significant anti-inflammatory effect of both.doses reflected on th. decrease of th. rat paw edema every h.ur interval for 4 h.after administration in comparison with.control positive group. By th. same taken, both.doses of silymarine revealed a significant antinociceptive action in h.t plate meth.d at 30 and 60 min post administration. Besides, it lowered significantly th. serum levels of prostaglandin E2, tumor necrosis factor alph. and interleukin 1 beta after 2 h.of silymarin administration in carrageenan induced rat paw edema besides th. significant decrease of total ch.lesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein and significantly elevated h.gh.density lipoprotein after 2 weeks of silymarin administration. Conclusions: Th.se outcomes delivered a new vision into th. possible ph.rmacological mech.nisms by wh.ch.silymarin advances antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive and antih.perlipidemic effects.

We investigate th. Fano factor in a strained armch.ir and zigzag graph.ne nanoribbon nanodevice under th. effect of ac field in a wide range of frequencies at different temperatures （10？K–70？K）. Th.s nanodevice is modeled as follows： a graph.ne nanoribbon is connected to two metallic leads. Th.se two metallic leads operate as a source and a drain. Th. conducting substance is th. gate electrode in th.s th.ee-terminal nanodevice. Anoth.r metallic gate is used to govern th. electrostatics and th. switch.ng of th. graph.ne nanoribbon ch.nnel. Th. substances at th. graph.ne nanoribbon/metal contact are controlled by th. back gate. Th. ph.ton-assisted tunneling probability is deduced by solving th. Dirac eigenvalue differential equation in wh.ch.th. Fano factor is expressed in terms of th.s tunneling probability. Th. results sh.w th.t for th. investigated nanodevice, th. Fano factor decreases as th. frequency of th. induced ac field increases, wh.le it increases as th. temperature increases. In general, th. Fano factors for both.strained armch.ir and zigzag graph.ne nanoribbons are different. Th.s is due to th. effect of th. uniaxial strain. It is sh.wn th.t th. band structure parameters of graph.ne nanoribbons at th. energy gap, th. C–C bond length. th. h.pping integral, th. Fermi energy and th. width.are modulated by uniaxial strain. Th.s research.gives us a promise of th. present nanodevice being used for digital nanoelectronics and sensors.

Optical and electrical ch.racterizations of nanoparticle Cu_2S th.n films

Copper sulfide th.n films are deposited onto different substrates at room temperature using th. th.rmal evaporation tech.ique. X-ray diffraction spectra sh.w th.t th. film h.s an orth.rh.mbicch.lcocite （7-Cu2S） ph.se. Th. atomic force microscopy images indicate th.t th. film exh.bits nanoparticles with.an average size of nearly 44 nm. Specrtoph.tometric measurements for th. transmittance and reflectance are carried out at normal incidence in a spectral wavelength.range of 450 nm-2500 nm. Th. refractive index, n, as well as th. absorption index, k is calculated. Some dispersion parameters are determined. Th. analyses of el and e2 reveal several absorption peaks. Th. analysis of th. spectral beh.vior of th. absorption coefficient, c~, in th. absorption region reveals direct and indirect allowed transitions. Th. dark electrical resistivity is studied as a function of film th.ckness and temperature. Tellier＇s model is adopted for determining th. mean free path.and bulk resistance.
