Antioxidant peptides from Lateolabrax japonicus to protect against oxidative stress injury in Drosophila melanogaster via biochemical and gut microbiota interaction assays

Identification of natural substances with antioxidant properties is ongoing research for addressing issues related to oxidative stress especially attributed to environmental effects. Our previous study demonstrated that Lateolabrax japonicus peptides （LPH）， rich in Glu， Gly， and hydrophobic amino acids， exhibited remarkable antioxidant activity in vitro， with though its action mechanism yet to be revealed. Therefore， to assess the in vivo antioxidative properties of LPH， we employed H2O2to generate oxidative stress in Drosophila melanogaster model. Results indicated that LPH significantly prolonged the lifespan of Drosophila subjected to oxidative stress mostly mediated via LPH's enhancement of the antioxidant defense system and intestinal functions. Antioxidant effects were manifested by a decrease in malondialdehyde （MDA） levels， elevated superoxide dismutase （SOD）， catalase （CAT）， and glutathione peroxidase （GSH-Px） activities， decreased levels of reactive oxygen species （ROS） in intestinal epithelial cells， and the preservation of intestinal length. LPH effectively controlled the excessive proliferation and differentiation of oxidative stress-induced Drosophila intestinal stem cells. At the gene level， LPH upregulated the expression of antioxidant-related Nrf2 genes while concurrently downregulated mTOR expression level. Furthermore， high-throughput 16S rDNA sequencing revealed that the addition of LPH significantly influenced the diversity and abundance of the intestinal microbiota in H2O2-induced Drosophila. These findings provide a deeper understanding of the antioxidative mechanism of LPH， suggesting its potential applications in food industry and to be assessed using other in vivo oxidative stress models.

Maximizing the Benefit of Rate Transient Analysis for Gas Condensate Reservoirs

In recent years,many trials have been made to use the Rate Transient Analysis(RTA)techniques as a method to describe the gas condensate *** problem with using these techniques is the multi-phase behavior of the gas condensate ***,the Pressure Transient Analysis(PTA)is commonly used in this case to analyze the reservoir *** this paper,we are going to compare the results of both PTA and RTA of three wells in gas condensate *** comparison showed a great match between the results of the two mentioned techniques for the first time using a reference GOR of 75,000 SCF/***,we concluded that we could depend on RTA instead of PTA to spare the cost associated with the PTA in the gas condensate reservoirs.

Flavonoid chemical composition and antidiabetic potential of Brachychiton acerifolius leaves extract

Objective:To evaluate Brachychiton acerifolius leaf extracts as antidiabetic potential agent and to identify the main active constituents using bioactivity guided ***:In vitro antioxidant activity was evaluated for *** different extracts using DPPH assay and vitamin C as *** activity was then determined using STZ-induced rats treated daily with ethyl acetate and 70% ethanol leaf extracts for4 weeks at a dose of 200 g/kg body weight against gliclazide reference *** glucose,a-amylase,lipid profile,liver function enzymes and oxidative stress markers were assessed along with histopathological study for liver and pancreatic *** and structural elucidation of active compounds were made using Diaion and Sephadex followed by spectral ***:The results indicated that ethyl acetate and ethanol leaf extracts exhibited the strongest antioxidant activity compared to that of vitamin C(IC500.05,0.03 and 12 mg/m L,respectively).Both extracts showed potent anti-hyperglycemic activity evidenced by a significant decrease in serum glucose levels by 82.5% and 80.9% and a-amylase by45.2% and 53.6%,as compared with gliclazide 68% and 59.4%,*** of ethanol extract resulted in the isolation of 9 flavonoids including apigenin-7-O-arhamnosyl(1/2)-b-D-glucuronide,apigenin-7-O-b-D-glucuronide,apigenin-7-O-b-Dglucoside and ***:This study highlights the potential use of *** leaf extract enriched in flavones for the treatment of diabetes that would warrant further clinical trials investigation.

Cuticular wax plays a major role in the growth and storage of plant *** cuticular wax coating,which covers the outermost layer of a fruit’s epidermal cells,is insoluble in *** wax is mainly composed of very long-chain fatty acids(VLCFAs);their derivatives,including esters,primary alcohols,secondary alcohols,aldehydes,and ketones;and *** complex mixture of lipids is probably biosynthesized in the epidermal cells of most plants and exuded onto the *** wax not only makes the fruit less susceptible to microbial infection but also reduces mechanical damage to the fruit,thereby maintaining the fruit’s commodity *** date,research has mostly focused on the changes,function,and regulation of fruit wax before harvest,while ignoring the changes and functions of wax in fruit *** paper reviews on the composition,structure,and metabolic regulation of cuticular wax in *** also focuses on postharvest factors affecting wax composition,such as storage temperature,relative humidity(RH),gas atmosphere,and as exogenous hormones;and the effects of wax on fruit postharvest quality,including water dispersion,fruit softening,physiological disorders,and disease *** summaries may be of assistance in better understanding the changes in cuticular wax in postharvest fruit and the resulting effects on fruit quality.

Dendrobium officinale Flowers Flavonoids Enriched Extract Protects against Acute Ethanol-induced Gastric Ulcers via AMPK/PI3K Signaling Pathways

Gastric ulcer is a widespread disease caused by various etiologies. Dendrobium officinale flowers exert several health benefits owing to their rich flavonoid content. In this study， protective effects and possible action mechanisms of D. officinale flowers’ flavonoid enriched extract (DOFF) were assessed against gastric ulcer. The result of sodium nitrite-aluminum nitrate colorimetry showed that 52.34% of the total extractive was flavonoid， and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography time of flight mass spectrometer (UPLC-Q-TOF/MS) revealed the presence of 28 components in DOFF of which 14 belonged to flavonoids. In addition， in vivo assay revealed DOFF potential in reducing the formation of ethanol-induced gastric mucosal lesions， with drop-in ulcer index from 64.3 to 32.0. Similar results were revealed in human gastric mucosal epithelia cells (GES-1)， with cells’ viability to increase from 27.2% to 61.6% post DOFF administration. To analyzied the protect effect of DOFF， we used western blotting and immunofluorometric assay to revealed the expression levels of key proteins in cell pathways. The results showed that DOFF (320 μg/mL) could increase the level of oxidation marker protein (HO-1)， apoptosis regulatory protein (Bcl-2) and autophagy marker (LC3β) by 50.84%， 43.85%， and 59.21% compared with ethanol- treated group respectively. Further analyzed of the mitochondrial activity and apoptosis pathway， we found that DOFF appeared to mitigate against ethanol-induced gastric mucosal injury via AMPK/mTOR/ULK1 and PI3K/AKT autophagy signaling pathways.

In this paper, the authors proposed a model, to build trust in the infrastructure between the Consumer-to-Consumer （C2C） and some proposals, to increase the trust in building the infrastructure for electronic commerce between consumers C2C through a comparison of previous studies, which have been applied in many countries like America, China, France, Korea, and Philippines. In their work the authors focused on the relation between consumers C2C which is more successful than the Business-to-Consumer （B2C）, Business-to-Business （B2B）, and is more systems suitable for developing countries and have been applied in China.

Detection of Hypoglycemic and Antidiabetic Fraction in Ethanol Extract of <i>Jatropha curcas</i>Aerial Parts

Diabetes is a global problem and many efforts are being done all over the world searching for new drugs that can manage it more efficiently. The World Health Organization recommended the natural products to be possible source for antidiabetic compounds. Jatropha curcas plant was employed in Indian traditional medicine for the treatment of several disorders. So, hexane, chloroform and ethanolic extracts of the aerial part were subjected for evaluation of their hypoglycemic and antidiabetic effects. Oral administration of ethanolic extract at a dose of 400 mg/kg showed hypoglycemic and antidiabetic activities in alloxan induced diabetic mice. Bioassay-guided fractionation used to isolate the active fraction. Moreover, the drug was found to be safe up to dose of 5 g/kg. Further fractionation is recommended to find the active compound(s).
