Introduction: During childbirth by Caesarean, several types of anesthesia can be used. The Caesarean, the most practiced surgical delivery technique in obstetrics, has a risk for complications for both the pregnant women and newborns. Objective: To evaluate the importance of the complications due to Caesarean in the Teaching hospital Gabriel Toure. Patient and Methods: We conducted a cross sectional survey in the departments of intensive care unit and gyneco-obstetric from January to August 2017 in the University hospital Gabriel Touré of Bamako. Our study population was pregnant women who gave birth to children by Caesarean. We included all cases of preventive and emergent Caesarean under loco-regional or general anesthesia. Data were compiled from the obstetrical files of the patients, the anesthetic consultation registry and the databasis of the department of gyneco-obstetric. The test of khi2 of Pearson was used for the comparison of our results with a value of p The consent of the patients or parents was gotten. The survey didn’t include a potentially dangerous act.

Late Life Vascular Risk Factors and Their Association with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease

Background:Epidemiological studies have demonstrated associations between higher levels of vascular risk factors in midlife and later development of dementia,particularly Alzheimer’s disease(AD).However,in elderly subjects with dementia,some studies have shown that these associations may decrease or even ***,the study aimed to find the association between late life cardiovascular risk factors and neurodegenerative dementia in general and AD in ***:It is a retrospective case control study using electronic medical records that included elderly patients that were reviewed in Ahmadi hospital geriatric clinic,Kuwait,from the period of 1/7/2019 to 1/2/*** hundred and three(203)elderly patients with neurodegenerative dementia(study group)were recruited for this retrospective study and compared to two hundred and one(201)controls with normal cognition for the presence of vascular risk ***:The study included 404 *** ranged from 60 to 107 years(mean age 78.79,±8.13 SD).AD was found to be the most prevalent type of dementia in the study group,as 49.3%(100/203)of the demented patients were diagnosed with *** significant statistical association was found between vascular risk factors and dementia(P>0.05),except for obesity which showed a negative association(Pely).Conclusions:The results of the study support an emerging concept that,while elevated levels of vascular risk factors in midlife increase the risk of development of dementia and AD later in life,once dementia begins,these associations may be diminished or reversed in the elderly.

Pulmonary hypoplasia is a rare disease characterized by a defect of lung development more often unilateral. The diagnosis requires several exams to eliminate other causes of pulmonary retraction. We report two cases at the department of pneumophtisiology of the University Teaching Hospital of Point G. The first case is a young adult who was complaining of a chronic cough. Etiological investigation required several exams including spirometry and Computed tomographic scan (CT scan). After elimination of all suspected causes of pulmonary opacity, the diagnosis of pulmonary hypoplasia was retained. The second case is a 2-year-old girl who was born with congenital cardiopathy whose respiratory complications were increasing during her childhood and respiratory explorations discovered pulmonary agenesis. Pulmonary hypoplasia is rare in our medical practice, but attention must be drawn to a retractile pulmonary opacity in young age after elimination of all infectious causes in TB endemic area.

能源的利用直接关系到全世界的福祉和繁荣。通过安全环保的方式来满足日益增长的能源需求是一项重要挑战。地球上大约有70亿人口,人口增长可能会导致能源需求的增加,这取决于能源资源的充足性。此外,在许多国家,人口增长和经济发展对环境产生了严重影响,因为能源生产过程(例如发电、供热、制冷、运输和其他应用的轴功等)会排放污染物,很多都对生态系统有害。利用先进技术减缓全球变暖和提高能源系统的效率是关键目标,许多国家提出并测试了实现这些目标的方法。在这些技术中,多联产工艺因其具有效率高、运行成本低和单位能源产出时污染排放量低的潜力,成为作出重要贡献的一种可能。然而,化石燃料枯竭和气候变化等问题使得高效多代能源系统的优势和重要性更加明显。冷热电联供(CCHP)系统,包括若干开发项目,成为当前能源需求广泛应用的重要方式,该系统为全球能源生产系统提供了未来的发展趋势,以解决能源生产安全、排放控制、能源、经济、节能方面的不稳定性等集中电站和能源相关难题。本文利用工程方程求解软件(EES)对冷热电联供系统进行了数学建模,研究了以生物质天然气为气化炉能源的冷热电联供系统的性能。本文提出的冷热电联供系统由生物质气化装置、有机朗肯循环(ORC)、燃气轮机发电子系统、吸收式冷却器、余热锅炉以及家用热水换热器组成。基于系统的能量流分析,对沼气与天然气之间的混合气比对系统性能的影响进行了探究。结果表明,在恒定功率输出30MW时,制冷、制热和生活热水容量分别为2MW、9.18MW和0.3MW。在参数研究中,随着混合燃料中沼气百分比的增加,制冷量、供热量和生活热水的输出呈线性增长。此外,对冷热电联供系统进行了火用分析,结果表明,最大的火用损失来自R22-DMA吸收系统。研究发现,该系统的成本率为72.2$/h。

Behavior of Watermelon Cultivars after Inoculation with Watermelon mosaic virus in Saudi Arabia

All seven watermelon cultivars that were screened for their reactions to a severe Saudi Arabian isolate of Watermelon mosaic virus(WMV-SA)that was found inducing a severe disease in watermelon in Riyadh region,were found to be susceptible and showed different virus-like symptoms upon mechanical *** Baby,Crimson Sweet 1 and Crimson Sweet 2 cultivars showed milder symptoms and,therefore,got lower grand mean of weekly symptom ratings than Charleston Gray No.502,Jubilee,Black Diamond and Charleston Gray No.133 in both first and second *** inoculation with this isolate significantly reduced the plant height,fresh and dry weights of the tested *** reduction percentages in plant height of Sugar Baby and Crimson Sweet 2 were significantly lower than those of Crimson Sweet 1,Charleston Gray No.502 and Charleston Gray No.133 in both *** the reduction in percentages of fresh weights of Sugar Baby,Crimson Sweet 2 and Jubilee were significantly lower than reduction percentages of Crimson Sweet 1,Black Diamond and Charleston Gray *** dry weight reduction percentages of Jubilee,Sugar Baby and Crimson Sweet 2 were lower than those of Charleston Gray No.502,Charleston Gray No.133,Black Diamond and Crimson Sweet 1 in both *** correlation existed between the virus titer in the infected cultivars and their *** general,Sugar Baby and Crimson Sweet 2 performed better than the other cultivars as they had the lowest symptom severity ratings,the lowest percentages of plant height,fresh and dry weight reductions compared to the other tested cultivars.

Background: Urosepsis is one of the most common infections that require empirical broad spectrum antibiotics immediately after diagnosis. This has led to development of bacterial resistance by acquiring the capability to destroy the β-lactam ring. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional hospital-based study. The study was conducted from 2019 to 2020 at Gezira Hospital for Renal diseases and surgery (GHRDS). A hundred patients were diagnosed clinically with urosepsis and the isolated organisms were Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumonia and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The susceptibility test was conducted by Kirby Bauer disc diffusion technique according to clinical laboratory standard institute (CLSI) guidelines. Seventy eight samples of bacterial genomic DNA were confirmed by 16srRNA and multiplex PCR, were performed for genotypic blaOXA-51 and blaOXA-23 gene characterization of isolated bacteria. Then gel electrophoresis was used to identify the presence or absence of (blaOXA-51 and blaOXA-23) genes. Results: 88.5% (69/78) in 16srRNA detected. Using multiplex PCR, the frequencies of blaOXA-51 and blaOXA-23 genes were 13% and 10.1%, respectively. The percentages of isolates which yielded both blaOXA-51 and blaOXA-23 among P. aeruginosa was 25% (1/4), among K. pneumonia was 17% (1/6), and among E. coli was 8% (3/37). Only blaOXA-51 was detected in P. mirabilis 10% (1/10) and only blaOXA-23 was detected in S. aureus 5% (1/18). Conclusion: In this study, the presence of blaOXA-51 and blaOXA-23 genes was increased in the isolated bacteria.
