Dapoxetine is a newer anti-depressant that is used for severe forms of depression via selective serotonin reuptake inhibition *** aimed to evaluate the effect of different doses of dapoxetine lonely or with acetaminophen(AMP).Seven groups of albino rats were used where dapoxetine was administered orally at the doses of 3,5,and 8 mg/kg body weight for a period of 14 days in groups 2,4,and 6,***(67.5 mg/kg body weight)was co-administered with dapoxetine(3,5,and 8 mg/kg body weight)for 14 days in groups 3,5 and 7,*** in mid and high dose plus AMP increased body weight and hematological *** and rearing were declined with mid and high doses of dapoxetine+AMP,contrary to *** was decreased with high doses of dapoxetine+*** dose of dapoxetine+AMP induced lowering of serotonin and dopamine as well as increasing of *** derived neurotrophic factor was decreased in all *** stress biomarkers were augmented with high dose of dapoxetine+*** doses of dapoxetine and/or AMP induced loss of the Purkinje cell layer at *** high dose of dapoxetine+AMP denotes behavioral,histopathological and neurochemical alterations,even though no serotonin syndrome occurs.

One of the leading causes of death worldwide is cardiovascular disease, hence searching for a cure is an important endeavor. The totally safe, edible, and inexpensive Boswellia plant exudate, known as olibanum or frankincense, is considered to possess diverse medicinal values in traditional medicine and from recent biological studies. Investigating the cardioprotective and antioxidant activities of olibanum from a Bo~＇wellia species, family Bursearaceae, namely Boswellia carteri Birdw. was the aim of this study. Cardioprotective activity was evaluated using a model of myocardial infarction induced by isoprenaline （ISO）, while antioxidant activity was tested adopting nitric oxide scavenging （NOS） and azino-bis-3-ethyl benzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid （ABTS） assays. The results revealed a mild cardioprotecfive effect and weak antioxidant activity.

Background:Management of severe velopharyngeal dysfunction is best performed by a multispecialty *** team could include a speech-language pathologist,otolaryngologist,prosthodontist,and a plastic *** most commonly performed surgical procedures in complicated cases with scarred soft palate are sphincter pharyngoplasty and pharyngeal *** this study,a multidisciplinary approach was applied for proper assessment and surgical intervention using sphincter pharyngoplasty for velopharyngeal insufficiency after cleft palate ***:Twenty patients underwent sphincter *** diagnosis was performed using auditory perceptual assessment,nasoendoscopy assessment,nasometry,and ***:There were statistically significant differences between the preoperative and postoperative *** occurred in two *** sleep apnea occurred in three patients and was resolved spontaneously within three months,and one patient experienced slight wound ***:Velopharyngeal dysfunction after cleft palate repair is best treated by a multidisciplinary team through speech therapy together with sphincter pharyngoplasty.

Electrophoresis for SDS-proteins and isoenzymes were conducted to investigate the genetic variations within the agamid lizard Uromastyx aegyptia microlepis inhabiting the desert of Saudi Arabia. Samples were collected from four localities: a) Ushayrah near the town of Taif, b) Al Gwaih near Riyadh, c) Nairyah near Dammam and d) Mouileh near Tabok. A range of 7 to 14 protein bands were recorded in the patterns of the studied samples as measured by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Among them, only one fraction was recorded in all samples as a common protein band. Six arbitrary chosen enzymes were examined by native-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. They were α and β esterase (Est), acid phosphatase (Acph), Alcohol dehydrogenase (Adh), Aldehyde oxidase (Ao) and peroxidase (Px). Seventeen heterogeneous alleles have been recorded;seven of them were fixed in all populations and 10 were polymorphic. Nearly all recorded alleles were monomeric in all samples. α-Est2, β-Est2, Acph2 and Px1 were restricted to Tabok samples and were not recorded in other localities. β-Est3, Acph3, Adh1, Adh1and Px2 were not recorded in Taif samples and the latter one was not recorded in the Dammam samples. The similarity coefficient that has been calculated according to the number of sharing bands indicated the clustering of Tabok and Dammam populations together. The constructed tree based on the sharing protein bands and isozyme alleles revealed similar results regarding the kinship of both populations. The present results indicated that the populations of this subspecies exhibits high genetic variability among its populations.

In this work, a hardware intrusion detection system （IDS） model and its implementation are introduced to perform online real-time traffic monitoring and analysis. The introduced system gathers some advantages of many IDSs： hardware based from implementation point of view, network based from system type point of view, and anomaly detection from detection approach point of view. In addition, it can detect most of network attacks, such as denial of services （DOS）, leakage, etc. from detection behavior point of view and can detect both internal and external intruders from intruder type point of view. Gathering these features in one IDS system gives lots of strengths and advantages of the work. The system is implemented by using field programmable gate array （FPGA）, giving a more advantages to the system. A C5.0 decision tree classifier is used as inference engine to the system and gives a high detection ratio of 99.93%.

Three arbitrary chosen enzymes were examined by native-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis to investigate physiological and genetic variations among five different goat breeds inhabiting Saudi Arabia. The goat breeds were Pakistani, Tihami, Syrian, Masri and Aardi while the investigated enzymes were alkaline phosphatase (ALP), malate dehydrogenase (Mdh) and malic enzyme (ME). Six polymorphic loci with six monomeric alleles have been recorded in all studied breeds. The second locus of ME was characteristic of Syrian breed where it showed dimeric alleles. The similarity matrix that has been calculated according to the number of sharing bands indicated that these breeds have been divided into two groups: Pakistani and Tihami as one group while the other three breeds clustered in another group. The activity of the metabolic enzymes (Mdh and ME) showed concordance with the constructed relationship where the percentage amounts of these enzymes showed significant variations between the two groups more than that occurred within each group. Mdh was expressed in the second group more than in the first while ME showed, nearly, equal expression in the different breeds. Both genetic and physiological results agreed in clustering the studied breeds into Pakistani and Tihami in one group and the other three breeds in another group. This division was based on a few gene loci and a few sampling size and it needs to be supported by collecting more genetic data and more sampling size in a further molecular study.

Native polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis have been used to analyze malate dehydrogenase (MDH), acid phosphatase (Acph) and peroxidase (Px) isoenzymes in different tissues (liver, kidney, muscle and heart) of the tilapia fish, Oreo- chromis niloticus in order to study the tissue specificity of these isoenzymes. Three, two and one fractions have been recorded respectively for the three isoenzymes in different studied tissues. The MDH-1 and MDH-2 have been ex- pressed only in muscle and heart while MDH-3 has been expressed in all studied tissues. The percentage amount of MDH in general varied significantly between muscle and different studied tissues. With respect to acid phosphatase, the percentage amount of the total enzyme showed significant difference between liver and muscle and that this variation may be due to higher gene activity in liver. Peroxidase isoenzyme was recorded in liver and heart only with significant increase in liver. The kidney was the least among the studied tissues in showing gene expression for the studied isoenzymes and therefore, liver, heart and muscle tissues are better applicable in studying the isoenzymatic profiles for fish physiology and systematics.

Ultrafine Fraction and Aerosol Attached Activity Size Distribution of Radon Progeny in Living Room

Inhalation of 222Rn progeny in the domestic environment contributes the greatest fraction of the natural radiation exposure to the public. The ultrafine activity of these progeny amounts up to about l 0 percent of the total activity （attached and ultrafine）, but is considered to yield about 50 percent of the total radiation dose. Therefore, measurements of ultrafine fraction are essential for the estimation of radiation dose. The current study presents measured data on the total equilibrium equivalent concentration （EEC） and ultrafine equilibrium equivalent concentration （EECUn）, ultrafine fraction （fb）, attached and unattached activity size distributions of radon progeny in the low ventilated rooms at Minia University, Minia city, Egypt. A screen diffusion battery was used for collection the ultrafine fraction and measuring the total activity concentration of radon progeny. The attached activity size distribution of 214pb is determined by using a low pressure cascade impactor. The EEC of radon progeny varied between 1.3 and 18.9 Bq/m3 with a mean value of 5.2 ± 0.48 Bq/m2. The mean activity thermodynamic diameter （AMTD） ofultrafine of radon progeny was determined to be 1.26 nm with relative mean geometric standard deviations （GSD） of 1.3. The ultrafine fraction of radon progeny, fb, has a range 0.01 to 0.21 with an average of 0.08 ± 0.03. A relative mean GSD of 2.7 was determined for attached 2Lapb at a mean active median aerodynamic diameter （AMD） of 350 nm. Based on the above experimental results, the deposition fractions have been evaluated in each air way generation through the human lung by applying a lung deposition model. The bronchial deposition efficiencies of particles in the size range of attached radon progeny were found to be lower than those of ultrafine progeny. The effect of radon progeny deposition by adult male has been also studied for various levels of physical exertion. The dose conversion factor has been discussed as a function of fb.

Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity Changes with Time and Its Prediction at SAR and Salinity in Quevedo Region Soils

Darcy’s law is applied to describe the steady flow processes in which the flux remains constant with time along the conducting system. Due to the dispersion and migration of colloidal particles and lodging in the soil pores the reduction in hydraulic conductivity occurs with time in particular when the soil and the percolating solution are affected by electrolyte concentration. Hence, the aim of this study is to find empirical equations that can be used to predict the flux with time. Data for the effluent volume versus time (up to 6 hours) which was collected for three soils (located at Quevedo-Los Rios region) treated by two salt solutions (5 and 50 meq/l) with different SAR values were used to test certain mathematical forms of equations. Only four empirical equations were found to perfectly fit the data (flux vs time) whereas, fitting the calculated and measured data of the hydraulic conductivity for all soils produced regression factors R2 ≥ 0.99. So, these equations can be applied to predict the hydraulic conductivity and to characterize the flow process at saturated conditions of the studied soils with great confidence. The Hoerl function model was the best of all equations for application as the fitting degrees were almost perfect for all studied soils at 5 and 50 meq/l. It was observed for all equations that one of the fitting parameters would always represent the initial hydraulic conductivity (Kos) that was evaluated graphically at zero time by extrapolation.

Aim:Epidermal growth factor(EGF)is a mitogen for hepatocyte grown in vitro,and its expression is up-regulated during liver *** also plays an important role in tumor initiation and *** goal of this study is to assess whether EGF is associated with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and also whether it is a predictive factor of shortened ***:Serum EGF levels were evaluated in a total of 151 subjects:51 patients with unresectable HCC,(21 of them were eligible for transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)and serum EGF levels were measured before and 1 week after TACE),40 patients with chronic hepatitis without cirrhosis,40 patients with cirrhosis,and 20 healthy *** demographic and laboratory variables were evaluated as predictive factors of survival in a Cox regression multivariate analysis using SPSS ***:The mean serum level of EGF in patients with HCC was 784.49 pg/mL,which was significantly higher(P<0.05)than all other *** EGF level in cirrhotic patients was 144.69 pg/mL;in those with chronic hepatitis C without cirrhosis,it was 338.64 pg/mL;and in healthy controls,it was 297.15 pg/*** group Ia patients who underwent TACE,the mean serum level of EGF was 759.76±287.88 pg/mL before TACE,and 801.14±276.12 pg/mL 1 week after treatment(P=0.34).On multivariate Cox regression analysis only age(P=0.03)and higher serum EGF level(P=0.005),were inversely correlated with overall ***:EGF levels were found to be significantly higher in HCC patients and together with age were the only predictors of poor survival in these *** was an increase in EGF levels 1 week after TACE in response to hypoxia;however,this increase was not statistically significant.
