Existence and Global Asymptotic Behavior of Positive Solutions for Sublinear and Superlinear Fractional Boundary Value Problems

In this paper, the authors aim at proving two existence results of fractional differential boundary value problems of the form （Pa,bα）{D^au（x）＋f（x,u（x））=0,x∈（0,1）,u（0）=u（1）=0,D^a-3u（0）=a,u^（1）=-6where 3 ≤ a 〈 4, D^ is the standard Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative and a, b are nonnegative constants. First the authors suppose that f（x, t） = -p（x）t^σ, with cr ~ （-1, 1） and p being a nonnegative continuous function that may be singular at x - 0 or x - 1 and satisfies some conditions related to the Karamata regular variation theory. Combining sharp estimates on some potential functions and the Sch^uder fixed point theorem, the authors prove the existence of a unique positive continuous solution to problem （P0,0）. Global estimates on such a solution are also obtained. To state the second existence result, the authors assume that a, b are nonnegative constants such that a ＋ b 〉 0 and f（x, t） -= tφ（x, t）, with φ（x, t） being a nonnegative continuous function in （0, 1） × [0, ∞） that is required to satisfy some suitable integrability condition. Using estimates on the Green＇s function and a perturbation argument, the authors prove the existence and uniqueness of a positive continuous solution u to problem （Pa,b）, which behaves like the unique solution of the homogeneous problem corresponding the existence results. to （Pa,b）. Some examples are given to illustrate the existence results.,

Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

Development of new lateral-flow immunochromatographic strip using colloidal gold and mesoporous silica nanoparticles for rapid diagnosis of active schistosomiasis

Objective: To develop a new sandwich based lateral flow immunochromatographic strip for rapid detection of circulating Schistosoma mansoni antigen in serum and urine samples of patients with active schistosomiasis. Methods: This lateral flow immunochromatographic strip was prepared by using anti-Schistosoma mansoni soluble egg antigen monoclonal antibody conjugated gold nanoparticles (Mab-AuNPs) as antigen-detecting antibody, while crystalline material (MCM)-41-Mab bioconjugate was immobilized at the test line as antigen-capturing antibody. Both antigen capturing and detecting antibodies formed sandwich complexes with circulating Schistosoma mansoni antigen in the positive samples. Sandwich complexes immobilized at the test line gave distinct red color. The assay reliability was examined by using urine and serum samples of 60 Schistosoma mansoni infected patients, 20 patients infected with parasites other than Schistosoma, and 20 healthy individuals as negative controls. Results were compared with those obtained via sandwich enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (elISA). Results: The detection limit of circulating Schistosoma mansoni antigen by lateral flow immunochromatographic strip was lower (3 ng/mL) than the detection limit by elISA (30 ng/mL). The sensitivity and specificity of lateral flow immunochromatographic strip in urine samples were 98.3% and 97.5%, respectively compared to 93.5% and 90.0% by elISA. In serum samples, they were 100.0% and 97.5%, respectively compared to 97.0% and 95.0% by elISA. The strip test took approximately 10 min to complete. Conclusions: This new lateral flow immunochromatographic strip offers a sensitive, rapid, and field applicable technique for diagnosis of active schistosomiasis.

Validation of degree-day models for predict!ng the emergence of two fruit flies (Diptera: lephritidae) in northeast Egypt

We estimated thermal developmental thresholds(7o)and degree-day(DD)constants for the immature stages of two tephritid pests,Bcictrocera zonata(Saunders)and Ceratitis capitata(Weidenmann).Males of both species were trapped in an Egyptian guava orchard during the fruiting seasons of 2016 and 2017 and trap catches were compared with peak flights predicted by the DD model based on local weather *** capitata had faster development than *** at 20 and 25°C,but their overall developmental rate was similar at 30 and 35°*** thermal threshold of development(7o)of *** was higher than that of ***,indicating greater sensitivity to *** 35°C yielded the fastest development of both species,survival was higher at 30°C,with *** experiencing a slight advantage,suggesting better tropical *** development of *** and *** was estimated to require 338 and 373 d,respectively,and 616 and 424 DD for a complete *** catches over both seasons showed good correspondence to peaks of fly activity predicted by the DD models;deviations from expectation ranged from 0 to 7 d for both fly *** species had four overlapping generations per season,with *** abundance peaking in the first generation in both years,but only in 2016 for *** models predict about eight and 12 generations per year in northeast Egypt for *** and ***,*** models should be useful for timing pest control measures to coincide with periods of peak fly activity in fruit orchards.

Utilization of Small Size Bolti (<i>Talibia nilotica</i>) and Sardine (<i>Sardina pilchardus</i>) Fish in Preparing Canned Weaning Food Purees

Utilize small size of bolti and sardine fish in preparing fish based weaning foods rich in protein, essential amino acids, fat high in omega 3 fatty acids, minerals and vitamins was investigated. The proximate composition, nutritional value, physical and sensorial properties were evaluated, The results of the chemical composition showed that the moisture content of fish based weaning food purees ranged from 67.73% to 72.05%. On dry weight basis, the five prepared formulations considered rich in protein (37.39% - 44.86%), fat (26.55% - 30.43%), ash (6.53% - 12.23%) and low in carbohydrates (20.70% - 22.18%). Using fish bones with muscles in preparing weaning food puree caused a marked rise in its content of Ca, P, Fe, and Zn levels especially in purees formulated from bolti. Weaning food purees containing sardine fish rich, in fat, were higher in vitamin A and D than those formulated from bolti one. Palmitic acid (C16:0), stearic acid (C18:0), and myristic acid (C14:0) represented the major saturated fatty acids in the prepared formulations. Weaning food purees containing sardine fish had relatively higher levels of sulfur-containing amino acids and slight lower values of lysine, alanine and glycine than these including bolti fish. The exploitation of biomass represents a major environmental challenge related to the protection of the environment and the progressive exhaust of fossil *** this perspective,the main objective of this work is the extraction and the characterization of natural lignocellulosic fibers from the Schinus *** cellulose fibre extraction was investigated employing conditions of alkali *** the alkaline steps,a bleaching treatment was done and let to a yield about 45%pure *** identification of the chemical composition of Schinus molle reveals that this raw material contains a high level of biopolymers with a cellulose rate of 53.2%.Extracted cellulose fibers have been characterized by several techniques such as scanning electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared,X-ray diffraction,Morfi,and by the determination of their degree of ***-IR results confirm the purity of the cellulosic fibers,and XRD analysis reveals that the crystallinity increases after the delignification and bleaching treatments.

Fuzzy P &O Maximum Power Point Tracking Algorithm for a Stand-Alone Photovoltaic System Feeding Hybrid Loads

The photovoltaic (PV) generator exhibits a nonlinear current-voltage (I-V) characteristic that its maximum power point (MPP) varies with solar insolation. In this paper, a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method using fuzzy logic control (FLC) is presented. This method is based on the concept of perturbation and observation (P & O) algorithm to track the MPP of a stand-alone PV system. The controller is used to maximize the power generated by the PV array and the simulation of the system is implemented in MATLab. Simulation results are compared with those obtained by the conventional P & O controller. Results show that the FLC gives better and more reliable control for the stand-alone PV system feeding hybrid loads.
