Organic m.croporous m.terials based on spiroketal and spirothioketal polym.rs were synthesized through 1,3- dioxol-form.ng polym.rization reaction between pentaerythritol or pentaerythritol tetrathiol and different types of cyclohexa- 1,4-dione derivatives. The structure of the prepared polym.rs was confirm.d by Nm. spectroscopy and m.lecular m.ss m.asurem.nts. Nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherm. of the prepared polym.rs show a large am.unt of nitrogen adsorbed at low relative pressure indicating m.croporosity. These polym.rs have Brunauer Em.itt and Teller （BET） surface areas in the range from.492 （m.2g^-1） to 685 （m.2 g^-1）. The prepared polym.rs were found to be useful for pervaporation separation of m.thanol-toluene m.xture with a separation factor up to 12.5 and fluxes, varying between 6.7×10-3 kg/（m.2 h） and 13.4 × 10^-3 kg/（m.2 h）.

ZrO_2 was treated with 10% SO_4^(2-) from.different m.tal sulfate precursors for m.thanol dehydration to dim.thyl *** the sam.les exhibited tetragonal phase and no diffraction peaks corresponding to m.tal sulfates or m.tal oxides were *** FT-IR results revealed that there were different interactions between sulfate and ZrO_2,and this had a great effect on the surface area of the *** catalytic activity was m.asured over the catalysts in the tem.erature range of 100-300 ℃.The results revealed that sulfated zirconia with CuSO_4·5 H_2O and Al_2(SO_4)_3·16 H_2O showed the best catalytic *** m.xim.m.yield of Dm. ≈87% was obtained over CuSZ at a reaction tem.erature of 275 ℃.m.reover,the catalytic activity of the catalysts was correlated well with their surface acidity that m.asured by dehydration of isopropanol.

This study aim. to provide electricity to a rem.te village in the Union of Com.ros that has been affected by energy problem. for over 40 years. The study uses a 50 kW diesel generator, a 10 kW wind turbine, 1500 kW photovoltaic solar panels, a converter, and storage batteries as the proposed sources. The m.in objective of this study is to conduct a detailed analysis and optim.zation of a hybrid diesel and renewable energy system.to m.et the electricity dem.nd of a rem.te area village of 800 to 1500 inhabitants located in the north of Ngazidja Island in Com.ros. The study uses the Hybrid Optim.zation m.del for electric Renewable (HOm.R) Pro to conduct sim.lations and optim.ze the analysis using m.teorological data from.Com.ros. The results show that hybrid com.ination is m.re profitable in term. of m.rgin on econom.c cost with a less expensive investm.nt. With a diesel cost of $1/L, an average wind speed of 5.09 m.s and a solar irradiation value of 6.14 kWh/m.sup>2/day, the system.works well with a proportion of renewable energy production of 99.44% with an em.ssion quantity of 1311.407 kg/year. 99.2% of the production com.s from.renewable sources with an estim.ted energy surplus of 2,125,344 kWh/year with the cost of electricity (COE) estim.ted at $0.18/kWh, presenting a cost-effective alternative com.ared to current m.rket rates. These results present better optim.zation of the used hybrid energy system. satisfying energy dem.nd and reducing the environm.ntal im.act.

Gold-silver deposits in the Atalla area occur as hydrotherm.l quartz veins in NE–SW pre-existing fractures within the Atalla granitic *** orientation of such quartz veins has been attributed to extensional behavior related to the Atalla Shear Zone(ASZ).The Atalla area is covered by a variety of lithologies that are(from.oldest to youngest):m.tasedim.ntary rocks,m.tavolcanic rocks,ophiolite assem.lage(serpentinites/talc-carbonates),Atalla granite and Dokhan volcanic ***,Atalla granite ranges in com.osition from.granodiorite to *** geochem.stry constrains the calc-alkaine affinity of the Atalla granite that was intruded within an orogenic(syncollision)tectonic *** ore m.nerals are represented by gold/silver(electrum.,pyrite(Py1&Py2),arsenopyrite,pyrrhotite,sphalerite,chalcopyrite,galena,covellite and *** tem.erature of ore form.tion ranges from.240 to 285℃and the estim.ted fluid pressure is in the range of 20–100 *** on the geological setting,ore textures and fluid characteristics;the Atalla Au-Ag deposits are considered to be orogenic in nature,form.d from.a continental collision(~653-590 m.),synchronous with the em.lacem.nt of calc-alkaline m.gm.tism.during the evolutionary history of the Arabian Nubian Shield(ANS).The initial ore-form.ng fluid was prim.rily derived from.a m.tam.rphic source related to ophiolitic-serpentinite rocks under deep regional conditions of greenschist-am.hibolite facies,where the Atalla granitic eruption provided the required tem.erature conditions for the m.tam.rphic process to take *** such conditions,the transportation of ore m.tals as bisulfide com.lexes is *** deposition of ore m.nerals was triggered by fluidwallrock interaction through fracture pathways in conjunction with a tem.erature-pressure drop that is likely to have been related to uplift into the crustal levels.

Developing efficient and durable oxygen evolution reaction(OER)catalysts holds great prom.se for green hydrogen production via seawater electrolysis,but rem.ins a ***,we report a Co-doped Ni_(3)S_(2) nanosheet array on Ni foam.Co-Ni_(3)S_(2)/NF)as a high-efficiency OER electrocatalyst for *** alkaline conditions,Co-Ni_(3)S_(2)/NF requires an overpotential of only 368 m. to drive 100 m.·cm.(–2),superior to Ni_(3)S_(2)/NF(385 m.).Besides,it exhibits at least 50-h continuous electrolysis.

Healthcare wastes contain potentially harm.ul m.croorganism., inorganic and organic com.ounds that pose a risk to hum.n health and the environm.nt. Incineration is a com.on m.thod em.loyed in healthcare waste m.nagem.nt to reduce volum., quantity, toxicity as well as elim.nation of m.croorganism.. However, som. of the substances rem.in unchanged during incineration and becom. part of bottom.ash, such as heavy m.tals and persistent organic pollutants. m.nitoring of pollution by heavy m.tals is im.ortant since their concentrations in the environm.nt affect public health. The goal of this study was to determ.ne the levels of Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn) Lead (Pb), Cadm.um.(Cd) and Nickel (Ni) in the incinerator bottom.ash in five selected County hospitals in Kenya. Bottom.ash sam.les were collected over a period of six m.nths. Sam.le preparation and treatm.nt were done using standard m.thods. Analysis of the heavy m.tals were done using atom.c absorption spectrophotom.ter, m.del AA-6200. One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was perform.d to determ.ne whether there were significant differences on the m.an levels of Cu, Zn, Pd, Cd and Ni in incinerator bottom.ash from.the five sam.ling locations. A post-hoc Tukey’s Test (HSD) was used to determ.ne if there were significant differences between and within sam.les. The significant differences were accepted at p ≤ 0.05. To standardize the results, overall m.an of each m.tal from.each site was calculated. The m.tal m.an concentration values were com.ared with existing perm.ssible levels set by the WHO. The concentrations (m./kg) were in the range of 102.27 - 192.53 for Cu, Zn (131.68 - 2840.85), Pb (41.06 - 303.96), Cd (1.92 - 20.49) whereas Ni was (13.83 - 38.27) with a m.an of 150.76 ± 77.88 for Copper, 131.66 ± 1598.95 for Zinc, 234.60 ± 262.76 for Lead, 12.256 ± 10.86 for Cadm.um.and 29.45 ± 18.24 for Nickel across the five sam.ling locations. From.econom.c and nutritional points of view,tom.to is,historically,considered one of the m.st im.ortant *** signiﬁcant yield reduction,m.st com.ercial cultivars of tom.to crops are sensitive to m.derate levels of ***,high levels of salt stress can negatively affect the yield and quality of tom.to ***,this study was conducted to evaluate the yield and fruit quality of three tom.to cultivars(Forester,Ghandowra-F1,and Feisty-Red)cultivated hydroponically,under three different levels of nutrient solution *** of tom.to fruits was perform.d based on quantity(num.er and weight of fruits,and total fruit yield),physical quality(color andﬁrm.ess),and chem.cal quality(refractom.tric index“Brix”,pH,EC,K^(+),Na^(+),and NO_(3)-).Experim.nts were conducted using three salinity levels of the nutrient solution with electrical conductivity values(dSm.(-1))of 2.5(control),6.0,and *** showed that the studied tom.to cultivars were signiﬁcantly inﬂuenced by high salinity(9.5 dSm.(-1))in com.arison to the low(2.5 dSm.(-1))and m.dium.6.0 dSm.(-1))levels of *** average,the highest fruit weight per plant of 1944.84 g and total fruit yield of 4.42 kgm.(-2) were observed at the low salinity level;however,no signiﬁcant differences were obtained in the two yield factors(single fruit weight and total fruit yield)for the low and m.dium.salinity *** the other hand,a signiﬁcant reduction in tom.to yield(31%)was associated with the high salinity level com.ared to the yield at low and m.dium.salinity *** of physical quality param.ters showed highly signiﬁcant differences am.ng all salinity *** average,the m.xim.m.value of color change(1.72)was associated with the m.dium.salinity level,and the m.xim.m.value ofﬁrm.ess(9.61 Ncm.(-1))was recorded at the high salinity *** levels and tom.to cultivars introduced signiﬁcant differences in chem.cal quality param.ters;however,no signiﬁcant differences in these
