The application of swirl tube cyclone for gas-liquid separation is attractive due to its small size and weight. However, very scarce information on the performance of the swirl tube cyclone especially at high operating pressure emulating actual field condition was published in journals. Performance assessment was usually done at a low operating pressure using either air-water, air-fine particle mixtures or dense gas such as Sf6 . This paper fills the existing gaps and reports the initial findings on the performance assessment of a horizontal swirl tube cyclone for gas-liquid separation operating at a flow rate of 5 MMSCfD at 40-60 bar operating pressure.

The filler-bitumen interaction mechanism is one of the most essential phases for comprehending the asphalt mixture's ***,despite numerous studies,in-depth knowledge of filler-bitumen reciprocity at a microscale level is yet to be *** goal of this research is to gain a better understanding of the fillerbitumen microscale interaction in terms of the synergy and coaction between the physicochemical and rheological performance of mastics due to filler *** rheological properties of two sustainable mastics,dolomite powder(DP)and lime kiln dust(LKD),together with a neat PEN 60/70 binder,were analysed based on a temperature sweep at elevated temperature ***,frequency sweep and multiple stress creep recovery(MSCR)tests were also conducted at pavement serviceability temperature using the dynamic shear rheometer(DSR).Physicochemical tests using a scanning electron microscope(SEM)and energy dispersive X-rays(EDX)were conducted to analyse the impact of parameters such as particle shape,grain size,texture,and chemical *** DSR test results showcased how the incorporation of fillers in asphalt binder considerably improved the performance of the binder in terms of rutting and ***,its strain and nonrecoverable compliance parameters were substantially reduced at higher filler and binder *** filler attributes of low rigden voids(R.V),high fineness modulus(fM),and high specific surface area(SSA)led to greater interfacial stiffness and elasticity in LKD mastics compared to DP mastics at different loading frequencies and temperature *** SEM/EDX results also indicated that the elemental calcium and carbon composition of each filler component,together with its grain morphology,strongly influenced its rheological performance.

The aim of present study was to prepare buccal tablets of fluconazole for oral *** dosage forms were designed to release the drug above the minimum inhibitory concentration for prolonged period of time so as to reduce the frequency of administration and to overcome the side effects of systemic *** buccal tablets were prepared by using Carbopol 71G and Noveon AA-1 by direct compression *** stalline cellulose was used as the filler and its effect was also *** prepared dosage forms were evaluated for physicochemical properties,in vitro release studies and mucoadhesive properties using sheep buccal mucosa as a model *** containing 50% of polymers(Carbopol & Noveon) were found to be the best with moderate swelling along with favorable bioadhesion force,residence time and in vitro drug *** in vitro drug release studies revealed that drug released for 8 h,which in turn may reduce dosing frequency and improved patient compliance in oral candidiasis patients.

The modification of asphalt binder with natural rubber latex(NR)significantly improves the rutting and fatigue resistance of asphalt ***,NR-modified binder is prone to low workability and wettability due to its high ***,this research focuses on examining the influences of silane and wax-based additives on the wettability of natural rubber-modified binders and the binder-aggregates adhesion *** this study,experimental and analytical approaches were *** contact angles of asphalt binder were measured using a goniometer through the sessile drop method with three solvents:deionised water,formamide,and *** Cþþalgorithm was adopted to compute the surface free energy(SfE)elements of the asphalt *** methods were employed to analyse the results based on the Young-Dupre equation,followed by linear regression to establish a correlation between the compatibility ratio(CR)and the SfE *** results inferred that modified asphalt binders with additives possessed improved moisture resistance,wherein dry work adhesion values were less than 210 mJ/m^(2)under granite interfaces,whereas the limestone interface exhibited higher dry adhesion values of 340 mJ/m^(2)and *** performance results were observed under wet adhesion conditions;with granite wet adhesive values observed below 120 mJ/m^(2),while limestone wet adhesion values were ascertained below 180 mJ/m^(2)for all tested samples and *** to the spread–ability coefficient results,the limestone interface has greater spread-ability than granite ***,compatibility ratio values indicated better compatibility of 1.9 or higher for tested samples under granite interfaces,whereas compatibility values of 1.7 and below were observed under limestone interfaces.

Carbon dioxide （CO2） removal is an essential step in natural gas （NG） processing to provide high quality gas stream products and minimize operational difficulties. This preliminary study alms to investigate the removal of CO2 at high concentration level from the mixture of CO2-NG gas stream at elevated pressure via absorption process. This is to explore the possibility of exploring high CO2 content natural gas reserves by treatment at offshore platform. A mixed amine solvent, Stonvent-ii, was used for the absorption of approximately 75 vol% CO2 in CO2-NG stream at a pressure of 10 barg. The initial solvent temperature was varied in order to study the impact of initial temperature on the absorption performance. Preliminary study at temperatures of 35 ℃ and 45 ℃ indicates that Stonvent-ii was able to perform almost 100% removal of CO2 under both conditions. However, the CO2 absorption effect took place faster when the initial liquid temperature was lower. This is because when the initial liquid temperature is high, the temperature increase in the packing bed caused by the reaction heat is high which impacts the efficiency of absorption negatively.

The surface tension study is very crucial for the design of CO2 gas absorption contacting equipment. The significance of the surface tension has been increasing due to its consideration in various technological fields. This property influences the mass transfer and hydrodynamics of gas absorption systems, mainly multiphase systems, in which the interface between gas and liquid exists. Therefore, in this study, surface tension of aqueous solutions of sodium L-prolinate(SP) and piperazine(PZ) blends were measured at ten different temperatures from(298.15 to 343.15) K. The SP mass fractions were 0.10, 0.20, and 0.30;while the mass fractions of PZ were 0.02 and 0.05. The experimental results showed that the surface tension increase with increasing the mass fractions of SP and PZ in aqueous blends, and decrease linearly with rising temperature. The experimental data of surface tension were correlated by two empirical correlations as a function of temperature and mass fractions for estimating the predicted data using the optimized correlation coefficients. Moreover, the modeling of surface tension data was carried out using Artificial Neural Network(ANN) approach. The results obtianed from ANN modeling were compared with applied empirical correlation. it was found that the ANN approach outperformed the empirical correlation used in this study. Besides, a quantitative analysis of variation(ANOVA) was performed in order to determine the significance of data. The surface tension of aqueous SP and SP + PZ was also compared with various conventional solvents.

A class of nonlinear problems with real parameters is defined. Generally, in this class of problems, when the parametric values are very large, the problems become ill-posed and numerical difficulties are encountered when trying to solve these problems. in this paper, the nonlinear problems are reformulated to overcome the numerical difficulties associated with large parametric values. A novel iterative algorithm, which is suitable for large scale problems and can be easily parallelized, is proposed to solve the reformulated problems. Numerical tests indicate that the proposed algorithm gives stable solutions. Convergence properties of the proposed algorithm are investigated. in the limiting case, when the corresponding constraint is exactly satisfied, the proposed method is equivalent to the standard augmented Lagrangian method.
