A segmented basis set of.quadruple zeta valence quality plus polarization f.nctions(QZP)f.r H through Xe was developed to be used in conjunction with the ZORA *** set was augmented with dif.use f.nctions to describe electrons f.rther away f.om the nuclei *** the ZORA-CCSD(T)/QZP-ZORA theoretical model,atomic ionization energies and bond lengths,harmonic vibrational f.equencies,and atomization energies of.some molecules were *** addition of.core-valence corrections has been shown to improve the agreement between theoretical and experimental results f.r molecular *** atomization energies,a similar observation emerges when considering spin-orbit *** the augmented QZP-ZORA set,static mean dipole polarizabilities of.a set of.atoms were calculated and compared with previously published recommended and experimental *** evaluations of.the ZORA and Douglas–Kroll–Hess Hamiltonians were made f.r each property studied.

Control of.dust in underground coal mines is critical f.r mitigating both saf.ty and health *** decades,the National Institute of.Occupational Saf.ty and Health(NIOSH)has led research to evaluate the ef.ectiveness of.various dust control technologies in coal *** studies have included the evaluation of.auxiliary scrubbers to reduce respirable dust downstream of.active mining and the use of.canopy air curtains(CACs)to reduce respirable dust in key operator *** detailed dust characterization was not a f.cus of.such studies,this is a growing area of.*** preserved f.lter samples f.om three previous NIOSH studies,the current work aims to explore the ef.ect of.two dif.erent scrubbers(one wet and one dry)and a roof.bolter CAC on respirable dust composition and particle size *** this,the preserved f.lter samples were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis and/or scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive *** indicate that dust composition was not appreciably af.ected by either scrubber or the ***,the wet scrubber and CAC appeared to decrease the overall particle size *** an ef.ect of.the dry scrubber was not consistently observed,but this is probably related to the particular sampling location downstream of.the scrubber which allowed f.r signif.cant mixing of.the scrubber exhaust and other return *** f.om the insights gained with respect to the three specif.c dust control case studies revisited here,this work demonstrates the value of.preserved dust samples f.r f.llow-up investigation more broadly.

We investigate decomposition of.codes and f.nite languages. A prime decomposition is a decomposition of.a code or languages into a concatenation of.nontrivial prime codes or languages. A code is prime if.it cannot be decomposed into at least two nontrivial codes as the same f.r the languages. In the paper, a linear time algorithm is designed, which f.nds the prime decomposition. If.codes or f.nite languages are presented as given by its minimal deterministic automaton, then f.om the point of.view of.abstract algebra and graph theory, this automaton has special properties. The study was conducted using system f.r computational Discrete Algebra GAP. .

The paper describes some implementation aspects of.an algorithm f.r approximate solution of.the traveling salesman problem based on the construction of.convex closed contours on the initial set of.points (“cities”) and their subsequent combination into a closed path (the so-called contour algorithm or “onion husk” algorithm). A number of.heuristics related to the dif.erent stages of.the algorithm are considered, and various variants of.the algorithm based on these heuristics are analyzed. Sets of.randomly generated points of.dif.erent sizes (f.om 4 to 90 and f.om 500 to 10,000) were used to test the algorithms. The numerical results obtained are compared with the results of.two well-known combinatorial optimization algorithms, namely the algorithm based on the branch and bound method and the simulated annealing algorithm. .

Comparisons of.oxbow lake f.sh assemblages in relation to bigheaded carp establishment in the lower White River, Arkansas

Background Since the late 1990s, bigheaded carps(largely silver carp [Hypophthalmichthys molitrix] but also bighead carp [H. nobilis]) have established throughout the lower Mississippi River basin. Using previously studied oxbow lakes in the lower White River basin, Arkansas, we compared current(2017, “post-carp” establishment) f.sh assemblages to historical(2002, “pre-carp” establishment) f.sh assemblages. f.sh assemblages were comprehensively assessed using multiple gears, including boat electrof.shing, mini-f.ke nets, and experimental small-mesh gill *** T-tests suggested that f.sh assemblage indices of.richness, diversity, evenness, and dominance were of.en greater(P e post-carp period as ref.ected by boat electrof.shing and experimental gill nets. However, all indices were generally similar(P > 0.05) between the pre-carp and post-carp period with f.sh assemblages depicted using mini-f.ke nets. Nonmetric multidimensional scaling analyses indicated that f.sh assemblages dif.ered structurally between pre-carp and post-carp periods. Assemblage dif.erences were linked to both small and large abundance changes f.r more than 20 species. Abundances of.gizzard shad(Dorosoma cepedianum), emerald shiner(Notropis atherinoides), pugnose minnow(Opsopoeodus emiliae), crappies(Pomoxis spp.), bluegill(Lepomis macrochirus), orangespotted sunf.sh(L. humilis), and yellow bass(Morone mississippiensis) declined between the pre-carp and postcarp periods. Conversely, abundances of.weed shiner(N. texanus), pallid shiner(Hybopsis amnis), longear sunf.sh(L. megalotis), buf.alof.shes(Ictiobus spp.), and gars(Lepisosteus spp.) generally increased during the same *** Although not possible to conclude assemblage shif.s were entirely related to bigheaded carps due to the absence of.an appropriate ref.rence system where carps did not establish, the wide establishment of.these carps is one of.the most pervasive changes to have occurred in the lower White

Competency-based assessments f.r healthcare prof.ssionals are critical f.r saf. and ef.ective client outcomes. Rehabilitation clinical skill competency assessments must be validated and revised to produce saf. and skilled practitioners. The revised American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) f.eldwork Perf.rmance evaluation (f.Pe) instrument measures occupational therapy student perf.rmance to determine readiness f.r practice. The assessment includes thirty-seven competencies that address both prof.ssion specif.c clinical skills and general prof.ssional behavior skills. The objective of.this study was to use Rasch methods to explore the use of.the revised f.Pe in actual f.eldwork practice and to determine the instrument’s psychometric properties when separating the item components into two distinct subdomains: General Health Prof.ssions Competences and Occupational Therapy-Specif.c Competencies. Internal construct validity and test reliability were analyzed using data f.om 149 occupational therapy students af.er completing their initial Level II A f.eldwork clinical internship. This study examined the item dif.iculty hierarchy, item f.t, person-f.t to model, person separation index, person separation reliability coef.icient, strata, ceiling and f.oor ef.ect, and unidimensionality of.the f.Pe instrument as a whole and as two separate domains. With the exception of.not meeting the criteria f.r unidimensionality, the f.ll f.Pe instrument and the Occupational Therapy-Specif.c Competencies subdomain showed acceptable item-level psychometrics f.r reliability and precision. While the General Health Prof.ssions Competencies subdomain showed good item-level psychometrics, it was below the criterion f.r reliability and only separated the sample into two strata. While wormholes are just as good a prediction of.einstein’s theory as black holes, they are subject to severe restrictions f.om quantum f.eld theory. To allow f.r the possibility of.interstellar travel, a macroscopic wormhole would need to maintain suf.iciently low radial tidal f.rces. It is proposed in this paper that the assumption of.zero tidal f.rces, i.e., the limiting case, is suf.icient f.r overcoming the restrictions f.om quantum f.eld theory. The f.asibility of.this approach is subsequently discussed by 1) introducing the additional conditions needed to ensure that the radial tidal f.rces can indeed be suf.iciently low and 2) by viewing traversable wormholes as emergent phenomena, thereby increasing the likelihood of.their existence.
