In this paper, a co.parative analysis o. walking patterns during different co.nitive states is co.ducted, fo.lo.ed by the classificatio. o. o.r database into.Fallers and No.-fallers;by Fallers we describe subjects with repeated falling histo.y. Vertical Gro.nd Reactio. Fo.ces (VGRF) acquired fro. underneath the heel and to.s o. bo.h feet are pro.essed and analyzed fo. that endeavo.. The subjects underwent three levels o. tasks: 1) Single task: Walking at self-selected-speed (MS), 2) Dual task: Walking while perfo.ming a verbal fluency task (MF) and 3) Co.plex Dual task: Walking while co.nting backwards (MD).The ultimate o.jective o. o.r research is fall predictio. amo.g the elderly by characterizing the variatio. o. time-do.ain feature o. Gait signals. Fo. that, walking VGRF is analyzed and tested fo. the existence o. indicato.s o. the effect o. dual task o. subject falling susceptibility, whether parametric o. pattern-wise analysis. As a result to.o.r wo.k, dual task in Fallers VGRF signals were reco.nized at 74% while at tho.e no.-fallers were reco.nized at 85%. Mo.t impo.tantly, subjects with histo.y o. fall have sho.n mo.e po.ential to.change the way they walk while perfo.ming mathematical co.nitive task.

Aim: The main purpo.e o. this article is to.detect any risk o. preterm deliveries at an early gestatio. perio. using uterine electro.yo.raphy signals. Detecting such uterine signals can yield a pro.ising appro.ch to.determine and take actio.s to.prevent this po.ential risk. Metho.s: The best po.itio. fo. the detectio. o. different uterine signals is the median vertical axis o. the abdo.en. These signals differ fro. each o.her by their frequency co.tent. Initially, simulatio. is do.e fo. the real detected EMG signals: preterm deliveries (PD) EMGs and deliveries at term (DT) EMGs. This is perfo.med by applying auto.egressive mo.el (AR) o. specific o.der to.estimate AR co.fficients o. these real EMG signals. Finally, after calculatio. o. the AR parameters o. the two.types o. deliveries, we generate two.types o. simulated uterine co.tractio.s by using White Gaussian No.se (WGN). Frequency parameter extractio. and classificatio. are first applied o. simulated signals to.test the limits and perfo.mance o. the used metho.s. The last remaining step is the classificatio. o. the co.tractio.s using supervised classificatio. metho.. Results: Results sho. that uterine co.tractio.s may be classified using the Artificial Neural Netwo.ks (ANNs). The Simple Perceptro. ANN is applied o. the signals fo. their supervised classificatio. into.independent gro.ps: preterm deliveries (PD) and deliveries at term (TD) acco.ding to.their frequency co.tent.

Waste management is crucial due to.the fast increase o. human po.ulatio., causing an increase in so.id waste generatio. which if no. pro.erly managed causes enviro.mental pro.lems. Aro.nd 57% o. the wastes generated fro. ho.es are made up o. green material (fruits, vegetables…). Thus, reusing and recycling green wastes thro.gh co.po.ting is o.e way o. reducing the waste lo.d to.landfills. Co.po.ting is the transfo.matio. o. raw o.ganic materials into.o.ganic so.l amendments that pro.ide nutrients to.cro.s and enhance the tilth, fertility, and pro.uctivity o. so.ls. Aero.ic windro. co.po.ting system at Suko.i Greensite facility lo.ated at Karantina is perfo.med, where materials bio.egrade under co.tro.led co.ditio.s to.pro.uce co.po.t. Ho.ever, assessment o. the quality o. the co.po.t is fundamental in o.der to.determine its usages. Thus, regular testing o. physical, chemical and bio.o.ical parameters was perfo.med fo. adequate mo.ito.ing purpo.es. The basic o.jective o. this study was to.determine the characteristics o. the Lebanese municipal so.id waste co.po.t o. a yearly basis and co.pare these characteristics amo.gst the years. Hence, each parameter was tested and co.pared to.the BNQ internatio.al Canadian standards fo. pro.er classificatio. o. the co.po.t and adequate identificatio. o. its usages. The preliminary data o.tained were statistically diagno.ed thro.gh principal co.po.ent analysis by Spadv55 so.tware. All the data reflected the no.mal co.tent value o. the studied parameters with mino. differences between the years except fo. year 2007 which demo.strated higher levels o. Po.assium, Pho.phate, Lead and Cadmium. The Hill cipher algo.ithm is o.e o. the symmetric key algo.ithms that have several advantages in data encryptio.. Ho.ever, a main drawback o. this algo.ithm is that it encrypts identical plaintext blo.ks to.identical ciphertext blo.ks and canno. encrypt images that co.tain large areas o. a single co.o.. Thus, it do.s no. hide all features o. the image which reveals patterns in the plaintext. Mo.eo.er, it can be easily bro.en with a kno.n plaintext attack revealing weak security. This paper presents a variant o. the Hill cipher that o.erco.es these disadvantages. The pro.o.ed technique adjusts the encryptio. key to.fo.m a dif- ferent key fo. each blo.k encryptio..
