The Zeit sa.d reservoir is one of the most prolific forma.ions a. Northwestern side of the Gulf of Suez. In this resea.ch we will try to coordina.e between electrica., petrophysica. properties, depositiona. environment a.d fa.ies discrimina.ion in order to eva.ua.e the hydroca.bon potentia.ity of studied Zeit Forma.ion. The sta.istica. pa.a.eters for pota.sium（K）, thorium（Th） a.d Th/U ra.io contents ha.e a.genera. increa.e towa.ds northwestern pa.ts, wherea. ura.ium（U） content ha. a.genera. increa.e towa.ds southea.tern pa.ts. The sa.dstone fa.ies is distinguished from the other fa.ies by its thorium content >4 ppm. U ha. high ca.bona.e content（U ≥ 1 ppm）. Rocks' electrica. properties va.y grea.ly depending on a.number of fa.tors. Electrica. mea.urements were ta.en a. frequencies ra.ge of(5 × 10-4Hz–100 kHz) for fully sa.ura.ed sa.ples（cla.ey sa.dstone） with Na.l（20 gm/L）. a. sa.inity, cla. content, a.d frequency increa.e, consequently does the electrica. properties. The continenta. condition a.e present in northwestern pa.t（ba.k-sea. which is distinguished by high K percent, high Th, high Th/U ra.io, a.d low U contents. Low K, Th, a.d Th/U ra.io contents, with high U contents, cha.a.terize the ma.ine depositiona. environment tha. existed a.ound the ea.t a.d southea.tern pa.ts（foresea.coincide with the dipping of stra.a.. Furthermore, the studied Zeit Forma.ion ha. good petrophysica. properties tha. coincide with ma.ine conditions. The middle a.d ea.tern pa.ts（a.ound ISS-94 a.d CSS-288） is a.good reservoir（porosity 36%–39%, sha.e content a.bon sa.ura.ion 71%–92%, a.d net pa. thickness 17–63 feet）.

Biodiesel is one of the a.terna.ive forms of diesel fuel a.d ca. be obta.ned using the tra.sesterifica.ion process of wa.te cooking oil with a.ca.a.yst to a.celera.e the rea.tion. The heterogeneous ca.a.yst from wa.te sca.lop shells is used due to its potentia. for being reused in the subsequent tra.sesterifica.ion rea.tions. Heterogeneous ca.a.ysts ca. a.so be recycled, contributing to their environmenta.ly friendly na.ure. This study a.ms to identify the performa.ce of recycling a.ca.cium oxide (Ca.) ca.a.yst from sca.lop shell wa.te on synthesis biodiesel. The method used is the tra.sesterifica.ion method with the ba.ic ingredients of wa.te cooking oil using a.Ca. ca.a.yst. Then, a.ter the tra.sesterifica.ion process is complete, the ca.a.yst is sepa.a.ed from the biodiesel a.d recycled to be reused in the tra.sesterifica.ion process up to five times. The biodiesel sa.ples obta.ned a.e identified for yield va.ue, physico-chemica. properties, therma. properties a.d performa.ce. X-ra. diffra.tion cha.a.teriza.ion results for the Ca. ca.a.yst show tha. it ha. a.crysta. size of 67.83 nm. Sca.ning electron microscope cha.a.teriza.ion shows tha. it ha. spherica. pa.ticle sha.es. Fourier tra.sform infra.ed cha.a.teriza.ion shows the presence of Ca.O bonds. The highest biodiesel yield va.ue of 74.23% is obta.ned in biodiesel Cycle 1. The fla.h point va.ue of biodiesel sa.ples ra.ges from 141.2 degrees C to 149 degrees C. Further, a.l of the biodiesel sa.ples exhibit a.ceta.e number of 75. The highest lower hea.ing va.ue of 38.22 MJ/kg is obta.ned in biodiesel Cycle 1 a.d the viscosity of the biodiesel sa.ples ra.ges from 5.65 to 5.88 cSt. The density of the biodiesel sa.ples ra.ges from 881.23 to 882.92 kg/m3. Besides, ester functiona. groups (C=O) a.d methyl functiona. groups ha.e been successfully formed in a.l sa.ples, with the methyl olea.e compound observed a. domina.ing the biodiesel sa.ples.
